Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#561*bows to his sensei* As you will it, master. I shall draw only from my pathetic stockpile of memory. -
Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#562Officiall or Not, I'd like to see someone come up with the end of this!
Well, the rain falls down without my help, I'm afraid
And my lawn gets wet though I've withheld my consent
When this gray world crumbles like a cake
I'll be hangin' from the hope
That I'll never see that recipe again
As I walk, I think about a new way to walk
As I think, I'm using up the time left to think
And this train keeps rolling off the track
Tryin' to act like something else
Tryin' to go where it's been uninvited
It's not my birthday
It's not today
It's not my birthday so why do you lunge out at me?
When the word comes down "Never more will be around"
Though I wish we were there
I was less than we could bear
And I'm not the only dust my mother raised -
Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#563Sorry, never heard that song.
But does anyone know these two songs?(NO GOOGLING AROUND! Unless you know the song title and the group)
Song number 1:
With the fire from the fireworks up above me
With a gun for a lover and a shot for the pain at hand
You run for cover in the temple of love
You run for another but still the same
For the wind will blow my name across this land
In the temple of love you hide together
Believing pain and fear outside
But someone near you rides the weather
And the tears he cried will rain on walls
As wide as lovers eyes
Song number 2:
lips are turning blue
a kiss that can't renew
I only dream of you
my beautiful
tiptoe to your room
a starlight in the gloom
I only dream of you
and you never knew
sing for absolution
I will be singing
falling from your grace
there's nowhere left to hide
in no one to confide
the truth runs deep inside
and will never die -
Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#564Okay, GOOGLE RULE REVAMPED:
If you positively know the song, but you can't finish the lyrics, you can go to Google. But anyway... -
Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#565Too bad there's no way to enforce it
*Secretly has internet patrolly google-checky powers, AND GRAMMAR DETERIORATION INSTANT!* -
Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#566Of course not. We're on the honor system. -
Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#567So, children, back on track, we've established the Google Rule... This one should be a simple test of who's paying attention at the right time. A classic, a classic...
White man
Across the sea
He brought us pain
And misery
He killed our tribes!
He killed our creed
He took our game
For his own need
We fought him hard!
We fought him well
Out on the plains
We gave him hell!
But many came
Too much for Cree
Oh will we ev-er
Be set free? -
Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#568Okay, the answer to my two songs that neither of you knew (shame on you) was: a) The Sisters of Mercy - Temple of Love and b) Muse - Sing for absolution -
Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#569I thought that second one was Muse, but I wasn't sure... Not a huge Muse fan, I really just like Hysteria and that's it. ;)
Anybody got my song yet? It's a classic. -
Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#570Hehe... Vamos, Hysteria and Iron Maiden... You like noise, don't you? -
Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#571Hyep. ;)
But, y'know, I don't mind a little melody now and then... My tastes are quite eclectic, actually (if I may say so myself). -
Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#572I prefer Ladytron meself and have been a fan these last years. The songs from the "Witching Hour" album are great :D (They are down the alley of the 80's synth pop. Genre: Neu-electro / tech pop. They have been described as a merge between Depeche and Pixies, others mention Human League. :o)
http://www.ladytron.com/site.php
The genre might be out of fashion, but then again: I always listen to what I like and not necessarily to what is in. -
Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#573Well seeing as I don't think Ive ever scroleld this far down the main forum page before, what are we doing, what are the rules, and how can I kick butt? -
Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#574This thread sometimes holds idle chatter or, like now lifestyle references. Most of the time it holds nonsensical BS, which is generally encouraged. Please note that there is a codeo of sorts to the BS too and nerd BS is generally favoured as opposed to braindead BS.
Cappo sometimes like to go semi-gangster or semi-cultist in these threads, while Scrasamax usually does sarcasm and humour (he is quite good at it). You will be hard pressed to find a MoonHunter post in this thread. -
Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#575Yeah, Moon avoids us like the plague.
This is his own version of Bergen-Belsen.
Aaaanyway... You gotta' name the band, song, and finish the lyrics... The current one is up a ways, if you take a look... And you can only use Google if you already know the song but can't recall the lyrics word-for-word; that's on the honor system. -
Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#576Okay, so you can't guess the lyrics (But add more please!) but I have written a little somethin somethin:
VERSION 2.0!
STROLEN MADE IT!
IT'S THE CITADEL!
It has all essentiall vitamin's and minerals!
It's better than captain crunch,
'Cause we have Captain penguin!
It's kinda like wheat,
For some reason!
DON'T ASK ME WHY!
VERSION 2.0!
It's the place to be on the intraweb!
It has font colors!
I can't think of much else!
But I'm hoping we can fit in a reference to:
MOONHUNTER!
'cept I kinda just did! -
Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#577Wow...
I got a little lost at first you know...
but its quite hard to load on my pc... :P
*NYAHAHA*
And it really do have many different font colors!! ;D
Well I expect all this on the new version but...
talking about the pictures of the actors and musicians!?
THAT'S REALLY UNEXPECTED!! -
Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#578Yes, YOU could be Britney Spears!! I thought that was SWEEET! -

Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#580but I really suggest to put back the short cut for replies...
I really don't know how to call it but...
you know, the text box below the messages (forum replies) from the old version, so we can just type there and send and... TADA!! 8)
The citadel is ok on it's current state now, but... it's really hard for my pc to load when I click on reply...
Oh! you might think it's a selfish suggestion, so you can just ignore my suggestion... :o

Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#581No, Rei! This was a very useful piece of feedback!
I hope you don't mind me posting this in another place (so it will get the attention it deserves). This thread is just for idle chatter, pure nonsense and such you see :) -
Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#582You saw the reply right? The option is in your forum profile. I have been using the quick reply box for awhile now. (including on this post :) ) -

Where now is it? -
Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#584Profile->Look and Layout Preferences
and there is drop down menu for it. Read through all the stuff on that page though to see what else you can goof with. -
Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#585OH! Thanks strolen!! n_n
And sorry AG, that's one of my bad habits. Nyaha. n_n -
Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#586Sorry, I got rid of Britney Spears. Everybody that was using her as an avatar needs to go and pick a new one.
I regret this move but I was getting too many hits from teen boppers and they were flooding the server.
There is the ability to have the avatar of Capt. Kirk though, might get a whole different crowd having that avatar available. -
Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#587:hyper: :what: :hyper:
I LOVE STROLEN'S CITADEL!
It's better than hell, it has far less of that smell.
You can run, jump and yell! and laugh at those who fell.
Hey! Look! A BELL! Please, be able to spell!
Ah, it's good to be back and this is my first post in a while. This is where I'm saying hello. So.. Hello Everyone! -
Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#588Even though I have no authority to do so, I hereby grant Pieh the title of "Official Citadel Bard." I mean seriously, that was awesome. Awesome like an opossum. Also, I declare opossum shall be the main course at every citadel banquet, just because. -
Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#589Pieh, that one wins you this plush Penguin Voodoo Doll with extra pins and needles.
Great poem!!!! -
Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#590Wow, thank you. I will do my best to be the Unofficially Official Citadel Bard. and thank you for the Voodoo Doll.
The time is now, come sing with me. Give me a banjo for a Bard I be. Will I survive? Just wait and see. Now toss some gold in my hat, I shall not play for free. -
Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#591I'm bored, don't want to finish this right now
Thuban is a High Telaeic word which is difficult to translate with accuracy, but which can be associated with such terms as "current state", "solid shape", and "current form". It is an abstract noun, used to refer to a form or state which a thing currently holds, in the long-term, but which was once different, and may change. For instance, used in its most literal, non-idiomatic fashion, one could state that ice is a thuban, being that it was once water, and could be water again.
However, the most common usage of the term is in describing the rigid caste heirarchy of Meixingu societies, especially in the Telae hr Meixi. The main basis of this caste system is the Toa Scripture in the fourth sutra of the Xoriat- the statement that -

Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#594There are some things
that should be left
and let lie
and perhaps after countless eons
even death may die
This thread is not gone
nor is it dead
It is still growing
and we're all sick
in the head -
Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#595I find your inane reliance on rhyme to be tiresome... Haiku is the way to go.
This thread is too long
An unnatural lifespan
But it will not die -
Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#596Â Â Â Â Â Â Â This thread shall not die
Indeed it shall last so long
but how will WE survive? -
Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#597I see you're morbid
How depressingly ebon
Your robe is these days -
Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#598Roack is confused
Roack cannot write Haiku
Oh wait, he just did -
Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#599Meka leka hi
Meka hiney ho -
Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#600Neither of you has
