-

Re: Guardians of the Citadel OOC
#163Working on a scene with Echo in g docs atm, expect a rather large post to follow soon :) -
Re: Guardians of the Citadel OOC
#164When backing up this weeks rp thread into google docs I noticed we're at 340 pages by google doc standards, not too shabby for an rp that's been running a touch under 2 months! -

Any questions, comments, concerns, etc? :)
Why do doves cry?
Do you really want to hurt me?
What does love have to do with it?
Why do we not need any education? -
Re: Guardians of the Citadel OOC
#167Because Prince says they do.
You, no. Your character, yes!
Apparently, everything.
Because it's overrated.
-
Re: Guardians of the Citadel OOC
#168Because of something you did.
Of course I do, but my hands are not long enough to reach across the ocean.
She's innocent, or at least we do not have any evidence to suggest otherwise. Let's pin it on the cat, shall we?
You don't need it, but it helps you to know that mixing bleach and drain cleaner can be unhealthy. -

Just eager to keep going, but since you asked for questions, since us players get penalized for more than 48hrs without a post do we get free xp when the gm goes longer then 48hrs without posting? :P -
Re: Guardians of the Citadel OOC
#170Free vorpal longbows for us Elves would be nice, too.
-
Re: Guardians of the Citadel OOC
#171Ha! No. And sorry definitely back today. Just having busy few days. -
Re: Guardians of the Citadel OOC
#172I am maybe sorta back... will have a clearer idea in the next few days. -
Re: Guardians of the Citadel OOC
#173Just in time for "stone poisoning" and Headtaker's official debut :P
+1 Polearm. Only on a nat roll of 20, Headtaker beheads a foe, as per a vorpal weapon. This "activates" Headtaker. Once activated, Headtaker becomes a +3 vorpal polearm. Also, once activated, for every day that goes by where no foe is beheaded, Headtaker drops a "+1". So by day 3, it reverts back into a +1/+1 Polearm, where only a nat 20 beheads again, and re-vorpalizes the weapon. Once Headtaker is used in combat for the first time by a wielder, it becomes difficult to get rid of... A save must be made by the weilder versus magic at a -2 penalty every time the wielder wants to switch weapons, or even discard the polearm altogether. A failed roll, means Headtaker refuses to not be "used". Lastly, once a week, the proud owner of Headtaker needs to save at -2 vs magic again, or go on a mini-spree of berserker rage, looking to behead someone or something...and if foes are not around, well fellow PCs would do. Once someone is beheaded, the wielder calms down.

#174In other words, my idea of a perfect weapon :battleaxe: -
Re: Guardians of the Citadel OOC
#175To clarify - I believe Echo is awaiting the answer to this question :
"
So, if the wound is on the back, does it already affect the muscle and bone, or is it still superficial?
"

A response on whether the leeches seem be having any effect on spread speed and if they appear to be affected by the poison as well would be helpful too since if they do work to slow the spread, we can "lawyer up" Spider Hearts arm until we get him to the alchemist. -
Re: Guardians of the Citadel OOC
#177Ah sorry, will address today. -
Re: Guardians of the Citadel OOC
#178No belladonna unfortunately, but they did find a patch of Wolfsbane and a toxic Nightshade plant.
Nightshade is belladonna btw. -
Re: Guardians of the Citadel OOC
#179Righto :)
Well, it could have been a tomato plant...that's a nightshade too :P
Edit: Because now you gave me nightshade ocd and I had to read wiki...lol
Belladonna is merely one deadly type of Nightshade of many...
Technically that sentence is ok..."no belladonna but a toxic nightshade" That nightshade could have been a lot of things...tobacco, potato, tomato, eggplant, petunia, datura, mandragora...but we'll leave it as belladonna, so we can see Mystic hallucinate :) -
Re: Guardians of the Citadel OOC
#180Will be back at it tonight folks. Slight pre-holiday delays here. :) -
Re: Guardians of the Citadel OOC
#181Flu break. Mind no can think properly. Time to move party deeper into swamps...I'll try to bang out a post soon. -
Re: Guardians of the Citadel OOC
#182Well, now that we know we have time, inner party talks can commence. I would assume that Echo's field surgery went swimmingly (and if it didn't enough of us assuming it did would put the weight of consensual reality behind it, thus making it so) so Myst gets a dream and the rest of us jabber for a bit. Take some Robo and feel better :D -
Re: Guardians of the Citadel OOC
#183So, vorpal longbows AND mithral full plate for the Elves, you say? Cool. -
Re: Guardians of the Citadel OOC
#184In channel guardians of the citadel mk ii.
(03:04:06) Minion: Pariah enters the channel.
(03:04:16) Minion: Pariah rolls 1d6 and gets 3. (No bonus from dexterity?)
(03:04:40) Minion: Pariah rolls 1d10 and gets 6. (+3 bonus from dexterity.)
So I'm assuming Gyma's too busy staring at the acidic butterflies, probably wondering if one could use their innards to etch formulae into metal when binding an enchantment to a sword, thus significantly reducing the cost of the reagents needed in the process, at least until such a time as the poor butterflies are hunted to extinction. Though, feel free to tell me if I'm wrong Muro. -

Re: Guardians of the Citadel OOC
#188just have to get through work today and then I'm back finally. Postage coming tonight tomorrow. Beware the flying needles!! -
Re: Guardians of the Citadel OOC

Beware the flying needles!!
Still waiting for them to arrive... ;) -
Re: Guardians of the Citadel OOC
#190The needles are flying so slow that they should do zero damage and not puncture the skin. -
Re: Guardians of the Citadel OOC
#191Needles fired in bullet time :D -
Re: Guardians of the Citadel OOC
#192Just working on the wording of the next post. There will be blood!! -

Just working on the wording of the next post. There will be blood!!
I am sorry, you did not fill out the required paperwork in triplicate. Your request for blood has been denied -
Re: Guardians of the Citadel OOC
#194yes, thank you Tusserk :P
I'm posting IC tonight if it kills me...
To recap start of combat:
Most are "surprised" (Gyma, Mystic, etc...), a few are not...
Now, the needles. -
Re: Guardians of the Citadel OOC
#195btw, the needlemen do not have spikes like a porcupine unless you are house-ruling it - the needles are embedded in their flesh like missile silos...
Val, didn't gloss over or not see this ^
So I'm figuring...yeah the silo missile needles make perfect sense but I just can't help but imagine them with hedgehog like spines head to toe also. So yeah, homebrew, we have the missile silo spines (Those That Fire) and regular needle-spines on their bodies (Those That Keep Dire Wolves From Lunging)
:) -
Re: Guardians of the Citadel OOC
#196Weeelll, dont forget to up the xp due to the additional special defense... :mace: -
Re: Guardians of the Citadel OOC
#197With all those thorns, I can but guess that someone's been watching Maleficent. -
Re: Guardians of the Citadel OOC
#198Aside from seeing Jolie's lips and horns on a million posters, I have not seen Maleficent. Lots of flying thorns I take it? :)
The needlemen came about because I was cruising through the fiend folio (I do that regularly :P) and came upon the passage of how much they despise elves and hints as to why... -
Re: Guardians of the Citadel OOC
#199Because Elves aim at disarming all silos, whether they contain nukes or thorns?
As for Maleficent, not many *flying* thorns, just a lot of thorns in general. -
Re: Guardians of the Citadel OOC
#200Woo. We have two dead-looking ladies! :pirates:
