Re: Admin Chatter
#281The Air Force is probably too smart for that...
Or, on the other hand, maybe they're not. -
Re: Admin Chatter
#282Air Force are dullards.
I can use rpgcitadel.com or readpostplay.com...although I have to fix the scripts to allow me to login with them and the forum is ugly. strolen.com is hardcoded into too much for it to work seamlessly. -
Re: Admin Chatter
#283I see. -
Re: Admin Chatter
#284Strolen won't let me quit the quest. But I really want to quit the quest. -
Re: Admin Chatter
#285This is true. -
Re: Admin Chatter
#286Why do you want to quit the quest? -
Re: Admin Chatter
#287You had to go and ask that didn't you ;)
Hopefully he will deal with this in PMs as I don't think it belongs here, even among admins. -
Re: Admin Chatter
#288The case is closed. -

#289For those who are curious:
From reading your remarks in your sub I am curious to know if you are in fact leaving. And if so would also pose the question if you are going to keep your Coldforge subs still up and available to read? As I said I like your material and would hate to see it go away. Just asking, I'll leave you alone now.
Kevin
I am going to find another place to post Coldforged. It will be a site dedicated to Coldforged gaming and Coldforged gaming alone. I will be doing graphical artwork, releasing PDF's and writing computer programs to aid the GM.
I will not abandon Strolens and will not pull down my subs here. At the moment I feel like not posting here ever again, but that will probably pass. I just realize I need a primary base of operations. Somewhere I can go to when I am sick and tired of this place.
Okay? :) -
Re: Admin Chatter
#290I disagree with this decision, but you're your own person, so... have fun. -
Re: Admin Chatter
#291This began with a MSN chat long ago CP. I resent being put in the same genre as Satan and I resent people voting for my stuff when they have clearly stated it revolts them and that they consider it blasphemous.
I won't disappear and I won't pull anything down. I just need somewhere else to work from. I need a site of my own.
Now let us quit this AG storm in a glass of water. I am tired of unsettling this place.

Re: Admin Chatter
#292I can't think of anybody but Chaos who thinks like that. *I* certainly don't think of you that way.
Whatever. If you don't want to discuss it, I won't. -
Re: Admin Chatter
#293by "people" and "they" you mean CM. Ok...so nobody else thinks your Satan. No need to take it out on the rest of us. Everyone likes your work and your company.
Lets move on, shall we? When's Gethrensburg, my favorite city of them all coming? :hyper: -
Re: Admin Chatter
#294Huzzah, huzzah, huzzah! -

#296*Casts spiritual calm and enlightenment* :wizard: -
Re: Admin Chatter
#297Jesus, is it just me, or do you need a chainsaw to cut the tension in the air around here lately? -
Re: Admin Chatter
#298no tension...AG has cast a powerful spell of Spiritual Calm and Enlightenment :pixie: -
Re: Admin Chatter
#299Okay, as an admin I use my right to debate this:
http://www.strolen.com/guild/index.php/topic,3366.msg45690.html#msg45690
The Quest has resulted in quite some upheaval. There were many decent submissions, but in the end all but these five proved to be lacking in quality. There are some measure of disagreement concerning this. Voices have been raised muttering about unfairness and such.
I have spoken for the rules that we contested by. We all knew these were the rules we played by. I think we should abide by these rules for this quest, but in the future I agree with what Murometz says here. In the future we should do things differently.
I have mentioned this to others and their suspicion was roused. Did I say this for the sake of my own "Crawlers of the Darkness" or what? Well, no. I spoke, and still speak AGAINST changing the rules at this hour. As for my sub, well I tried my best but fell short. That is okay.
I do however feel that valid objections were raised. I think the entire "finalists" thing is a straight jacket that I do not like. In the future I want to be able to vote for whatever submission I like, even though the selection would have remained the same in this case.
What say you? -
Re: Admin Chatter
#300yep...http://www.strolen.com/guild/index.php/topic,3366.msg45719/topicseen.html#msg45719 -
Re: Admin Chatter
#301Made the unofficial list. Because it felt right. I commented upon what those who feel I am playing unfairly could do, but Strolen deleted that comment.
Yes, I am tired (It is 03:20 am here) and I am sick of schisms. Now everyone got a list they can be happy with. The official one is the only true list of course ;)
Besides, it feels good to watch the mathematical end ranking. Altar of Storms got 0 points (-0.25 actually)... Can you believe that?
Any complaints: Forward them to santaclaus@northpole.com. I am through with this quest. -
Re: Admin Chatter
#302So THAT'S his email! Time to set up a spam-bot to make sure Santa Claus gets my list this year!
But anyways, back to seriousness - I wasn't active enough to know anything about all the huff and puff that's going on around here, but all I can say is: The quest idea is merely a device in which to entice people to post more often in a category which is currently lax. Winning the quest is a small bonus, but in the true course of the citadel, what's a bunch of xp? A couple more numbers to put next to your name?
If you didn't make it in the finals because of a low vote or what-not, the quest still performed its purpose in getting a creative post and besides, it's in the main citadel that your posts truly shine. If you made a good post, people will say so in their comments.
Anyways, congratulations to all on your great dungeons, and AG: If you leave the citadel, I will hunt you down with my whiffle-bat!
Have a great day! -
Re: Admin Chatter
#303While I understand that the rules could do with some adjustment, can I point out that I asked for feedback multiple times? And that no one had a problem (that I was aware of) with the Shards of the Storm quest, which was the same system?
I have no problems with changing things. Tell me what you would like to change. -
Re: Admin Chatter
#304You did good, Ria. -
Re: Admin Chatter
#305What do you know? Tatysska and all those Russian "ladies" use proxies from the public proxy list I mentioned earlier. Found it out by chance as I tested their connectivity and one of them, a Brazilian public proxy, did not generate the site.
No wonder as it is banned!
Strolen: Should we ban the public proxies we can find? -
Re: Admin Chatter
#306Well, I dunno'
Banning public proxies is something different... That means that some of us who utilize proxy servers to get on the site at work and shit (when we should be working :D) would be blocked... -
Re: Admin Chatter
#307True, true. Didn't think of that. -
Re: Admin Chatter
#308This may be a kind of silly question, but I will justify it by saying I am a silly person. Is anyone else getting a kind of creepy vibe off of Chuckanator? I don't know how to explain what bothers me about him other than that. -
Re: Admin Chatter
#309He is young, rude and childish. ;)
I think he is annoying, but certainly no DL. -
Re: Admin Chatter
#310He's a stupid *******, that's the vibe I get off him.
Of course, he's probably 14 or something like that, so you can't really blame him... but I will anyway. -
Re: Admin Chatter
#311I have a question regarding the quest. What do we do about multiple author entries? I just noticed that Mountain of Boats is dual credit to Captain Penguin and Murometz. I don't think it was when I picked finalists, but I'm not sure. -
Re: Admin Chatter
#312Already been discussed in the sub. CP gets the bragging rights, right?
Muro has a hand in all the quest entries anyway :p -
Re: Admin Chatter
#313I didn't mean for now. I meant for later, if we get another dual-credit sub in another quest. -
Re: Admin Chatter
#314Well, a winner is a winner regardless of how many people put in the submission is my initial thought.
If it becomes an issue with the T-shirts then I will plop in some dough to Muro to get everybody that gets credit on the sub a T-shirt. -
Re: Admin Chatter
#315Sounds good to me -
Re: Admin Chatter
#316MoB is all Cap. T-shirts ready Sept. 15th. -
Re: Admin Chatter
#317Are you just doing them in a particular size, or will you have time when the voting's over to get the sizes from the winners? -
Re: Admin Chatter
#318depends how long this snail-voting takes. I got a dude working the design. No material being used yet. So um, to answer your question, if in doubt, extra-large...they shrink you see. :D
Or, if this is over within another week to ten days, then no problem, I shall await the winners measurements. -
Re: Admin Chatter
#319Voting ends on the 15th, winners will be posted by the 16th (or should be, anyway). -
Re: Admin Chatter
#320Strange comment from the user B9anders:

Today at 12:56:49 Ancient Gamer - You evil, evil man
Today at 12:57:15 Murometz - Hail AG!
Today at 13:18:33 B9anders - a curse on ancient gamer
Today at 13:26:14 Ancient Gamer - Wow. Thanks B9anders
Today at 13:28:10 Ancient Gamer - You danish lads need to respect your norwegian superiors :p
He left the site right after posting that comment. I have never spoken to him, never reviewed him. As a matter of fact I didn't know he existed until that rather rude message.
I don't care about it and desire no action. I posted it here for reference.
