The North Road is 35 miles long and runs north-north east from(fill in city) to the abandoned North Castle. Valuable trees, wild fruit and magical herbs can be found near the castle.
The Spirit of the road provides a easy passage for any traveler who sets a leisurely pace, and travelling the road from dusk to dawn will get you from one end to the other, on foot ,horse or vehicle it doesn't matter. If you try to go too fast you will be set upon by wild beasts and Lizard folk, your horse will go lame, you will twist an ankle, but you will still make the trip in one day.

Do you mean dawn till dusk, or dusk till dawn?
Either way, it's an interesting idea. I wonder how, given that the road throws obstacles at you if you move quickly, e road speeds you up if you go too slowly. Someone offers you a ride? A tornado picks you up and drops you off at the far end?
And since you mention that it points to an abandoned castle, it makes me think that it could also work well as a way to send low level PCs to a dungeon. Guaranteed to get there in one piece and in a reasonable length of time.
I like it, since most PCs are going to be typically in a hurry. The harder they try, the more obstacles they encounter, and never get there any faster.
I love using spirits in ways such as these, and as a matter of fact spirits are an important part of my fantasy setting.
Nice idea.
Not bad :)
A nice little submission.
