Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#801OH! OH! I see! the word is: -
Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#802There we go, now people are catching on to the word being: -
Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#803*DING* Let's change the subject! -
Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#804What subject? Weaponry? undead? Fying pigs? -
Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#805Well, a zombie ate my brain the other day. It promptly fell over and died of explosive starvation. -
Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#806Why do zombies just eat brains? Are they low fat, or something? -
Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#807It doesn't make much sense. That's why I say zombies should just be cannibal corpses. Why take only brains when you could devour the whole thing? -
Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#808The first humans that were turned into zombies were fans of oysters and clams. Being a zombie, seafood is not their staple diet but they still wanted the familiarity of their favorite food, hence, the hard outer shell revealing the delicious chewy, tasty center. Ever since then it is simply tradition, plus the brain is pretty darn good anyway so it is an easy transition. -
Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#809I should try that some time -
Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#810Should you? -
Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#811Mmmmm.... brains... -
Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#812Never tried it >_<
-
Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#813Well, I could go into a mytho-spiritual diatribe about how the brain is the seat of the consciousness and some feel it is the seat of the soul, though this is disputed by more religious folk who consider the heart to be the seat of the soul. The act of brain-eating could be a primitive reation of a zombie to regain the spirit, or vital essence that it lost upon death and since it did not cease to exist, it is now painfully aware of its own inadequacy.
That being said...
People taste terrible, with all the junk food they eat, and being so overweight most of the time. The only part of the body left is the brain, so the zombies are really just eating the least digusting part of the body. -
Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#814Somehow I fancied that the least disgusting part would be the bone marrow. -
Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#815Mmmmm.... marrow... -
Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#816No, too much blood in it for any respecable zombie to eat it. And beyond that the blood hasn't been thinned by anything like bawls when it's in the marrow. No zombie would eat that stuff. -
Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#817Hmmm.... I got a question about zombies....
do they only eat human brains or they just don't like eating any other brains than human brains???
What I'm saying is... Why only humans?? Why not dogs or any other living creatures??? -
Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#818Well, it's probably because humans are so easy to catch. AND without going into the water you aren't going to find many bigger brains than from humans. -

Ummm.. Wasn't that *exact same* question asked one page back? -
Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#820No, the last question was 'Why brains?' Not why only human brains. -

#822Oh.

Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#823Who doesn't care, what wants to know. -
Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#824All sorts of things want to know, especially tea cozies and monosyllabic nouns. -
Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#825And dipthongs, don't forget dipthongs. -
Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#826dipthongs are far too apathetic, though certainly less than diacritics. -
Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#827True. Fucking diacritics. It's like you can't even get a glottal out of them. -
Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#828Don't get me started on apostraphes, though, they're so possesive, and want everything to be shortened, too. -
Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
