Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#887Dang! I just had my bi-annual :p work-out routine. Had a little fight with the punching bag and whaddya know? I knocked the darn thing down from the ceiling and onto the floor... Well, that happens every so often but this time must have had super-strength or something... I broke the half an inch thick reinforced steel bolt that attached it to the ceiling.
Dang!
*Stands butt naked in front of the mirror and flexes muscles... pouts to the mirror image and blows a kiss*
"I love you too AG!"

Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#888Talking about hilarious... My maid (don't ask) just barge in to my room and took my fuse in my PC's AVR, so I followed her and asked her, why did you get my fuse? she replied, "I'm going to use it for Ironing your clothes....."
really now... I thought she was going for something else when she just barge in my room.... >_ -

Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#890Horrible, for numerous reasons, most of which involve me being a whiny teenager with whiny teenage friends.
BS is fun, though. -

#896Who knows if their crazy?
It might be even worse of being crazy.... -
Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#897Crazy people, I don't know what you're talking about Roack...
The flying monkies dance freely upon the freight trains as the zoom down the rails, flinging themselves through the liquid darkness like smoke through glass. But Fate, our fickle master, would decree that the smoke clear and the trains to turn onto their side. And now, swept up in the hand of Fate, the monkey will scream out it's anguish as it flees the width of the train, only to be carried away by progress. -
Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1

Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#904Some women I know claim that most men only want to talk about one thing... Their own (male) selves...
Man, is this calling the pot calling the kettle black or what? For the most part we as individuals are very self absorbed and self important. Male or female, it doesnt really matter, only the details change.
THe core of the matter is how do you define yourself? -
Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#905True. True. I haven't really noticed though, I was talking too much about myself. :p
-
Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#906Well in some cases it is justified. After all, I am the center of the universe. -
Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#907that is patently untrue, my wife is actually the center of the universe. She has the deep space dopplar evidence to prove so. On the other hand, that means I am remarkable close to the center of the universe and as such have access to power on a pan-galactic scale... -
Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1

Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#913Lol! I just used to >_ -
Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#914My zwei Zweihanders in the the twilight zone are heavier than yours! -
Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#915It's all about thinking logically Scras. If one sword is heavy, than two put together than is probably pretty heavy. Yeah, thinking is pretty cool, you should try it sometime. :D -
Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#916Some stupid person made a sword out of gold and expecting it to slash metals in half~ -
Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#917Are you kiddin' me? -
Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#918I wonder if they thought they would Be able to hold it: Ya a sword made of gold
would be ya ... very heavy -
Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#919That guy is a lunatic. -
Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 1
#920Aren't we all.
On a COMPLETELY UNRELATED NOTE:
I went looking for stats last night (I will, of course, do penance.)
It got me thinking.
Nerds, Gamers, Hackers, Coders, Geeks, or whatever else you want to label the insanely diverse group I'm trying to get across, are paradoxical folk. On the one hand, we are recluses, hermits, sheltered from a society distant to us that we do not serve and are not served by, and often times I have heard a fellow claim that we're not slaves to public perception. Then again, maybe we are. We are our own community, and a great deal of posturing goes on, from the tales of your past settings and sessions (I could tell you story upon story myself, from the duct tape of healing to frozen wolves,) to the number of Bawls and/or Jolt cans you having laying about your room, even the level of your WoW character.
So it was last night, long after I had given up my search for an exciting magic item, statistics included, and moved on to spray painting some of my miniatures that I realised we WERE a society, and we WERE it's slaves, even if divided from the rest of the world. Not a day passes in which a young nerdling, pokefreak, level one gamer, or coder swears his allegiance to one of the great powers in this culture, be it Microsoft, Linux, Apple, WizKids, Wizards of the Coast, or anything and everything else you can think of.
That really had no point, but hey, it's there!
