Try the "Quick" menu. Forum should be on the top and Logout should be on the bottom of those. -

Since you may not have noticed my editing it into my previous post, under the Plots drop-down, Coincidences is spelled incorrectly, and under the Articles drop-down, Scenario is.

New Since Last Visit still doesn't work.
The sounds of the AJAX chat are very loud.
New Since Last visit counts on a single login that sometimes gets corrupted but the browser relogs you in. On mine, if I go to the forums and then hit the site, sometimes it resets my login so by the time I get to the recent page it is only minutes. Is that the issue or are they not showing up correctly?
AJAX Sound: you can control that through the chat crossed tools in the options. Where you choose what sound, above it is a % for volume. -

Yeah, I might just be retarded, but I can't find a link in the main forum to the recent unread topics, a link I am quite fond of due to the fact that I don't live in the forums anymore...
On the 3.0 Citadel theme, there is a plus sign on the right of the header on the HomePage of the forum. That extends (if you shrunk it) the area where that link is.
On the Dark Angel Fall First theme, it is the link in your info block in the header, click on "Replies" -

To the chatroom: I wanted to complain about the lack of a private channel, when I discovered one. Okay, got that. :)
But how do I get to see history, besides the last 10 or so posts?
Still figuring out the chat but I found where http://strolen.com/guild/chat/?view=logs
should do it. Date ranges or something at the top. Didn't experiment too long. -

On the drop-down menu for NPCs only the links all read like this ...npc/none/...whatever...; making it mildly impossible to use the drop-down to quickly navigate to one of the npc categories.
The key browsing word is still at the end of the line so it shouldn't be too disorientating I hope. It is just the way the database is set up unfortunately. In the NPCs case, the "Focus" (I thought) was a better starting descriptor than "Influence." Because of the way the database is set up, Focus is 2nd in line so it has to be the second portion of the tag. Most of the rest the dropdown descriptor that we used is first in the database so it works out naturally. THe only way to get rid of that is to change the dropdown to have the "Influence" links:

* Extras (76)
* Extras-Horde (29)
* Major (202)
* Minor (310)
* Mythic/ Historical (73)
* Scenario Based (69)
I like the current one personally and would rather have the inconvenience of a little uglier starter link. What do you think? -

We appear to have lost the Printer Friendly version
Has it not been implemented in this version?
If not, can we have it back please?
If it is present, can you please explain how to get it?
Always found that useful in the past -- I find it much easier to run a game from a printout

Oh, I have gave up boss status a long time ago. I do my best to be a servant. The homepage will continue to be revamped taking into consideration all the opinions to make it a better page for everybody. Also want to change the main category pages to something a little more than just a list. If you click on plots, there should be a nice page with some guidance, some special links, highlighted subs, etc as a jumping off point. Of course a list of subs, but there should be more there like a Useful, but not overpowering Plot Homepage type thing.
Also, the behemoth Recent page seems to get the most traffic. Does it serve it's purpose? What would you change if you could? -

Newest submission? Seeing it is a 2004 submission in deleted status now so BH and non-admins/mods shouldn't be able to see it at all. Not sure what the anomaly is but I don't see anything that makes it unusual. Val, you can see it but it is in deleted status. -

#256So yeah, going back over my NPC gripe, I found out that only some of the links are broken.

All the rest work as they should... Those ones all open up the most recent sub list. I knew I wasn't crazy and that something was broke, I just faulty logiced my way into thinking that they were all broke, because I randomly clicked on 2 of the broken ones right after each other... :p -

For me, no results are shown at all, before or after visiting the forums.

- am asked to login at entering the page. The link should be available from inside the chat at least.
- would be also great to have a read-only view of the chat somewhere, even if you are not logged in... miss that from the V2
- will it appear in the forums?

Do you know when it happened? After an edit or something? With the XP system you can lose XP for lower votes as well.... It is currently a 3.17 so it might have happened that way too. -

#262You may have stumbled upon a monster bug. Will have to do some checking on the rest of the newer subs and recalculate some XP. Luckily it is easily possible since all his logged. I did some edits so either it is worse broken now, or it is fixed. :) -

#263I'm using the Angel Falls theme, and some of the writing (mostly links to subs) is in this dark, almost blood red. It's almost impossible to read against the background. -

#267Actually, not fixed entirely. You fixed the Random on the View All Submissions by Author page, but I'm still getting the same error when I click on anything from Articles to Systems (The Header or anything under the drop down). Almost fixed... Actually, a thought: Shouldn't the order of the subs reset to a default after you leave the search? Or is it saved intentionally?
I actually got out of the "Stuck on" Random by going to my List All Subs, and changing it there. The search settings seem to be linked from All Subs by User and Subs by Category. But not the actual process of ordering the subs. I hope that help, it sure seems odd to me. -

#268It is saved in a cookie so it stays with your last choice as you browse through the next page of that and such. Otherwise I would have to add a bunch of variables to the links which I avoided.
Will update the other one to resist that trap. Didn't know it was like that on the other pages too. Thanks for pointing it out!!

#270I found a fun one! I was browsing the forums in one window, and had chat in another. I clicked the logout link at the top of the forum page, it logged me out of both the citadel and chat. Then, as my name and password were saved, I clicked login from the main citadel page; it logged me into chat in the window I was surfing the citadel in. So, I re-logged-in in the chat window, but the back page button on the other one, logged in again, and I got to the citadel fine. I am very confused, yet amused. -

#271The list of subs under Hall of Honour Recipients on the View all Recent page of user profiles seem to be off. I only have 3 of my subs ever earning a HoH but according to the list, all but 1 of my subs have been HoHed.
I also checked that it's not just my profile that's weird. Lots of other people's View All Recent page also have this inconsistency. -

#274Votes are reset nightly around 0005 or so. At lower levels it is definitely possible to use up your votes.
If you use all your votes, you get bonus XP. As you increase levels you will increase the amount of daily votes you have. If you aren't reset tomorrow, then that is absolutely a bug! -

#275This isn't really a bug, but, my profile says I have 2 total comments. And 0 Idea Seeds. Now I couldn't care less about levels and experience and all that jazz, but I did feel some small pride in the fact that I had 2,000 comments or so on main page subs since I joined. (and 6 idea seeds, dammit :P).
A new person might look at that, and think, "hmm, this a-hole (me) has been here just over 3 years, and has managed to grace us with 2 comments. What a prick."
Kinda sucks that some #'s didn't carry over to new version. -

The long titles of those books, that are broken into multiple lines, are too squeezed together vertically (checked in both FF and Oprah). Might need some CSS adjustment.

Oh, and I believe, that when a sub is submitted the first time, its submitted date should equal updated at that moment - otherwise won't the newly submitted pieces be seen on the Most Recent.
