   Strolen: I already mentioned this yesterday but since you asked, thought I will let you know that I have exactly the same problem as Val plus I can't see the Quest pic as well.
   
   In relation to the Forum, the Strolen's Citadel link on the top of the Forum index page  doesn't take me back to the Citadel main page like I thought it would but takes me to the Forum index page? Either that, or the link is broken. But it seems to me that the former is more probable b/c when I right-click the link and open it in a new window, what shows up is the Forum index page.
   
   Also, one thing that the "what do xp get me?" section doesn't clarify (for me, anyway, given I've worked with version 2.0 for not for new users) is that I don't know whether are we still getting xps on suggested submissions?

   OK, figured out the quest snafu. It was the editing portion.
   
   I still don't want the quest option available on edit to keep old posts from being modified to join a new quest. But currently, when you edit any submission, it doesn't carry the quest selection with it.
   
   I will need some time with that tonight to fix up the main logic of it, but in the meantime if you edit a quest submission, you may lose the quest status. HUGE BUG!!
   
   AG: Shoutbox is still everywhere it used to be.
   
   Graphics. blaarghhhsthflxgh. Will have to do interente searches on that anomaly. Cannot duplicate.

   Yeah, that particular sub of mine's completely wonky.  Right now it's showing about 10 million votes at -5.12349012347289374 on the average, and I can't seem to rid the summary of displaying control text.

   It's now at the very bottom of any submissions you read and you can also access it from the I am Newish link but you are right, it's no longer on the frontpage of the main site. And, I somehow get the impression that the shoutbox and chat is one and the same thing now?

    Does v 3.0 allow the deleting of submissions? I want to change one of my hidden sub from a society/org sub to a system sub but can't, so I figure I want to delete the old one and start a new one but I can't do that either as in I see no options for deleting subs?

    You should be able to put it in delete status when you edit it. Same place you choose, normal, in-work, etc.
    
    If you don't have that option then let me know as you should.
    
    If you want to change a category for it, let me know as I can do that for you.

    The tables on the submission form seem to be a little off, though it may just be the "location" version: the text boxes for like the title and freetext and everything else run into the descriptions.
    
    Also, is there a way to fix the shoutbox on the main Citadel so it doesn't stretch the page as people talk? It gets annoying after a while.

    OK. I totally hosed the summaries in some wierd convulted way. Totally, 100% my fault. I am in the process of restoring them as of 25 May, so there will be a few subs that will require a new summary to be written. (will take a couple hours - ANY NEW SUBS ARE SAFE!!)
    
    Anybody affected will get 25xp for having to rewrite their summary due to my idiocy!!

    The text fields are browser specific on how they render. Each one has a different idea on how big "35" is. I reduced it to "30" so hopefully that did it....and hopefully that is not too small for others.
    
    Chat...it is a browser thing again I would have to say, it wraps on all the ones I try as I grow and shrink it and that chat does all the formatting through the browser. Even Moon, who browses with his stuff at 25% width hasn't mentioned it.
    
    All these browser anomolies are driving me batty!
    
    (not because you are reporting them, that I can't do much about them)

    I know one of my old subs got nailed, but I already redid the summary on that... was it all the subs, or just some of them, or what?

    It was the entire kit and kaboodle.
    
    Anything prior to May 25 will be good to go once I get them back up. Those after that are the main issue.

    Ah, I don't mean it stretches width-wise. When you go to a new page on the main Citadel, shout resets to whatever the default number of lines is. However, as each person says something, it adds a new line, but the first line is still wherever you happened to come in. And if people are posting images in chat/shout, it gets out of hand really fast. So like... you start off at ten or whatever, but if there are a lot of people talking, you end up with fifty lines or whatever. It seems to reset if you're switching pages or if you change chat channels (not too sure about that), but if you're working on a sub, then that page is gonna get awful long...

    Thanks, I see it now. It's simply that I didn't expect the delete function to be grouped into edit. I'm not sure whether that's a useability issue or just me.
    
    As for changing the category, I probably have to get back to you later b/c I'm getting a bit indecisive over which category to put so I guess I will first write up the whole thing and then judge which category is the most appropriate. Many thanks.

    As you can tell from this thread, Muro, we are quite bug free. It is most obviously an user error.
    
    It should be immediate but I am messing with the comments so might have been bad timing. (Everybody, please look for that, I don't want to spam too many posts just to test it)
    
    I am going to owe a lot of people some XP by the time this latest bug session is completed.
    
    PS. Old summaries restored, only need a couple updates. Sorry again for that inconvenience. It probably annoys me more than you but I HATE when bugs affect you all like that!!!

    Aha! The posting a sub problem was indeed temporary. All better now.
    
    The other thing has me confused. Cheka just commneted on Upuaut and it jumped into 'recent comments'. Ten minutes ago i commented on Ria's Ice Tomb, and it refuses to move into 'recent comments'. Bizarre.

    Go find more stuff to comment on and make sure it updates correctly now. Try commenting and voting on about 40 subs to make sure it works. ;)

    summary weirdness: I did a major fix by deleting it entirely...not sure if that was helpful to get rid of the control text. I did add a link to turn off the formatting demon wizard so you can see the raw text and delete the portion that seems to plague it.

    It doesn't look like the Recent Comments list has been updating on the main page, and I have no idea what the Recent Ideas list is suppose to be for. Whatever happened to Random Submissions? I liked seeing a new list of different subs from all over the citadel whenever I refreshed the page.

    Ahhh, these bugs are MUCH better. All within my grasp of reality. Give me to the weekend to play with them.
    
    Val: Level perk is AWESOME idea. Will also add the ability to turn them off for those that are allergic.
    
    Pieh: Copy that! Muro saw the same thing but there weren't that many comments at the time so I couldn't tell if it was me breaking stuff and a bad time or a real bug. Real bug.
    
    The chat issues: HUGE issue. I would want only the public showing ideally so all the others can be used as needed without flooding the site. Site should just be for flitty discussion, not what can be done in the main chat screen.

    This might or might not relate to comments. I recently posted some additions to Manfred's Winter Adventures scroll but in the recent comments, this particular sub didn't show up. I remember in version 2.0 additions to scrolls turn up as new comments?
    
    Update: if I click on All Recent under the Quick menu, I can actually see the Winter Adventure under Recent Comments so it's only the Homepage that has the problem.

    The Exploring Task Page has 5 random submission per category. The task pages will slowly change and morph as we solidify how we want to use them and what to show. But Exploring should be the place to go for finding new stuff on the Citadel. Any thoughts on what to put there are definitely welcome!

    I rewrote the entire script from start to finish. It had some shortcuts in it which I removed and made everything neat and tidy and the logic looks solid. Did quite a few experimental votes/deletions and it seems to be working.
