Read and up to date, Waiting for round two of combat when I will be able to fire
  2. Re: Back in the Day...

    #202
Too bad we couldn't have drawn them out into the water before sleeping them, then no need to spend time finishing them off - they'd drown :)

  3. Re: Back in the Day...

    #203
Checked the spell Desc.  Should be good for 10 min...

  4. Re: Back in the Day...

    #204
10 mins? I beg to differ. Its a first level spell. That would be quite deadly, since there isnt a saving throw.  :P

    1 round, Viscount Valadaar
  5. Re: Back in the Day...

    #205

I would like to request a perception roll to determine just how many active gnolls there are in combat, IE number up, number wounded, number unconscious or dead since Vee wouldn't liekly be able to tell a sleepy gnoll from a dead one.

...and this is the penultimate encounter? We are so screwed!
  7. Re: Back in the Day...

    Cue music and curtains...
It's gettin' dark, too dark for me to see
I feel like I'm knockin' on heaven's door.

Oh, and if we finish this up in the next, oh, little bit, if someone could at least put a bandage on me, that'd be nice.
  8. Re: Back in the Day...

    #208
Aethelstan just healed you back to zero...severe migraines and a dislocated "trick" jaw may haunt you forever though  :P
  9. Re: Back in the Day...

    #209
--waiting on valadaar. Will be posting GM battle post by 5pm EST or so. Either way, this looks like it may be the last round (for better or worse  :P)

    good luck!

    Random Thoughts (Apropos of Nothing)

--Vee still has an opal which Kadarin can identify.

--No one picked up Pickle's necklace of silver and gold coins

--Because Dujek went down to -5 from one shot, he will suffer a nasty 'scar' or some other debilitating weakness permanently now, despite the holy healing.

--We are only a couple of days from the end of Chap. I. Chap. II will be somewhat different in tone and setting. (Cant wait!)

--Are you concerned no bandits seem to be emerging from the camp?

--dont forget Mouse is with you! (unless I missed something along the line, which I dont think I did.)

    --I'm having fun

--Might as well ask now. Is there anyone who DOESNT want to continue on to Chap II? Lemme know.
  11. Re: Back in the Day...

    #211
Should we survive the gnolls, Vee will be going back for the Necklace of Pickles, as well as looking into some sort of proper burial last rites sorta stuff.

As for bandits emerging from the camp...the gnolls are a bit of a more pressing matter :D

BTW! Vee is going to try to shoot the gnoll who is so unjustly persecuting Aethelstan! Next target chosen, if possible, what about some sort of double barrel action with both crossbows?
  12. Re: Back in the Day...

    #212
Actually, the unusual scream thingy that Scras and Dozus heard, followed by the determined pace the gnolls had seemed to be setting in response to that kinda worried me more.
  13. Re: Back in the Day...

    #213

You'll change your tune when you've got 1 hp and there's a hungry gnoll standing over you.

    Nope, I still hate them.

    Hit Point Update

    Talia: -2 (stabilized by Mouse)

Found: your not in 'search/loot' mode yet.
  15. Re: Back in the Day...

    #215
Those of us at negative hit points, we've been stabilized, right?

    Updated XP totals coming tonight
  16. Re: Back in the Day...

    #216
For the use of whoever pillages my unconscious body...  My spellbook

    0 lvl
    Distraction
    Ghost Sound
    Prestidigitation
    Detect Magic

    1st lvl
    Animate Body Parts (Nec)
    Chilling Grasp (Nec)
  17. Re: Back in the Day...

    #217
Ne, I'm going to need the base XP and the hit points for the gnolls and flinds.
  18. Re: Back in the Day...

    #218
well, the total XP is 950
  19. Re: Back in the Day...

    #219
    That works too.  :D
  20. Re: Back in the Day...

    #220
Okies, XP totals, just counting combat points from this little debacle.

Shadow has 714.  Me, Dozus, Wulf, and Pariah have 664.  Scras has 614.  Chaos has 309.  Val has 250.
  21. Re: Back in the Day...

    #221
Uhm, I could be mistaken Scras, but isn't the halfling coming FROM the camp to us?
  22. Re: Back in the Day...

    #222
--That is correct. He's stumbling towards the group.

--Also Tristan's cure light wounds has healed Aeth for 4 hp's. He is now at -4 but stabilized and slowly working his way back to "0".  :P

--As my grandfather used to say..."trusting a snivelling, treacherous gnoll is like trusting a naked woman. You'll get screwed in the end."
  23. Re: Back in the Day...

    #223
I suppose that Talia won't regain consciousness until someone actually does a cure spell or equivalent...
  24. Re: Back in the Day...

    #224
Well, from a game stat perspective, all I need is some Dollor Powder to be 1 or 2 hp off of full health, but I'm not quite sure what Muro'd say about that...
  25. Re: Back in the Day...

    #225
I have no clue as to the time frame here, but Tristan is definitely walking around, healing the others as well as he may. Unfortunately, stupid me snagged Herbalism but forgot the Healing. Durdurdur!
  26. Re: Back in the Day...

    #226
will be posting tonight, covering everyone's actions!
  27. Re: Back in the Day...

    #227
FYI...Chap II will be cooool!  :P

I have lots of ideas percolating and coagulating (and main site subs too!)

Since we will have 10-ish(!!) PCs, what do you guys think of this: TWO parties! (I can handle it if you can  :P)

Maybe even two parties taking down a similar quest from two different angles/directions?

    looking for feedback/ideas/suggestions.
  28. Re: Back in the Day...

    #228
I dont think 2 parties is a bad idea, so long as the pace can be kept up by our valiant DM. 10 in a single party is bit too many, and the action would really bog down as we wait for everyone to post their actions, even with standing orders and such.
  29. Re: Back in the Day...

    #229
Agreed - or make it freeform so that the 'parties' can vary in size as appropriate for the current place in the story.
Will take a bit of effort, but we could have a pretty good Ensemble cast here :)

  30. Re: Back in the Day...

    #230
This would also be a good time to mention that I hope "The Dice" kill a few of you off! hehe. ("no he DIDNT!..."YES, he did!")

    (just kidding! sort of)
  31. Re: Back in the Day...

    #231

  32. Re: Back in the Day...

    #232
Two parties is cool by me.

And if you have to off somebody, well, then, so be it!
  33. Re: Back in the Day...

    #233
    Two parties!

Actually, I suspect that I prefer to keep the "ensemble" together, and we'll plan to routinely split up according to the mission.

  34. Re: Back in the Day...

    #234
I can see the wisdom in that, but what about the times there isnt a "mission", and you are just wandering, hanging out, exploring, etc?
  35. Re: Back in the Day...

    #235
All-encompassing Post coming around 10:30pm tonight (EST)
  36. Re: Back in the Day...

    #236
Yup, and all 3 of our people with any non-magical healing skills are currently unconscious, and hopfully recovering.
  37. Re: Back in the Day...

    #237
Two parties is fine with me.
  38. Re: Back in the Day...

    #238
Actually, two parties might be interesting. Perhaps both parties are in competition with each other? I'm recalling something about that somewhere around here...
  39. Re: Back in the Day...

    #239
just finished writing a long RP post in Word, then accidentally erased it. Once I am over the outrage, I will begin again. *SIGH*!!

ETA: Midnight (hour and a half to sulk, half hour to write again)
  40. Re: Back in the Day...

    #240
So... Does Aethelstan have some sort of protection against evil spell? I see he can call on st. Senren to drive em back! Will this strain him too much? Oh, and hurry up and wake up Aeth! :p
