Sincere Condolences CM (as per PM), and your IC idea (as per your PM), is a fine one.

Worry not about the game, CM.  Prayers and sympathies for your grandmother.

Honestly, I got all my grieving done a long time ago when we first learned she was going to die of cancer, so it wasn't a matter of if, just when. But thank you all for your sympathy. Now I just need a crapola of time to get my school-stuff done...
  5. Re: Back in the Day...

    Moruz gets *75 bonus xp*
  6. Re: Back in the Day...

    #126
    I suggest a PC/GM conference..say tonight?
  7. Re: Back in the Day...

    #127
I'm up for it. Fair warning, I've got a football game I must play at tonight, so I'll be back 9-10 PM Central time. If that's fine with you guys, I'll meet up with you then.
  8. Re: Back in the Day...

    #128
I won't be available to chat until about 1 AM Eastern time.  I can use the shoutbox until midnight.
  9. Re: Back in the Day...

    #129
I'll be of and on tonight.  Am in AST (1 hour ahead of EST)so it will not be terribly late (max 9:30 EST)

My son means I turn into a pumpkin early....

  10. Re: Back in the Day...

    #130
Don't count on me being there, actually.  I'm at the fiancee's house and we're having a big dinner tonight.  I may possibly be on after 11:00pm EST... but that's just a maybe.
  11. Re: Back in the Day...

    #131
I'm not sure if I can make it either.  Plans to take the wife out to dinner while we have her mother around to watch the kids.
  12. Re: Back in the Day...

    #132
Well, its settled then! there will be no conference! :P
  13. Re: Back in the Day...

    #133
    And we have info!

    And also:  XD!
  14. Re: Back in the Day...

    #134
Killed/Defeated (for the time being): Tuckley, Krip, Ollie, Hanno. 4 1st level bandits (35 xp each)

    Executioner's Hood: 320 +8/hp (17 hp)

Bonus xp (negotiating the tunnels, gathering info from captured, freed prisoners and such): 250xp.

  15. Re: Back in the Day...

    #135
Updated XP totals will be coming sometime later tonight.
  16. Re: Back in the Day...

    #136
Um.  We have an issue, that should probably get worked out.  The smart thing would be to retreat to town to get our badly injured partymates healed.  But the baddies are going to notice when their patrols don't come back, and there will never be as good of an opportunity to attack.
  17. Re: Back in the Day...

    #137
If someone has a dose of Dollor Powder that could be used to bring Aeth to consciousness, he could get Vee up.
  18. Re: Back in the Day...

    #138
    Vee has several, help yourselves
  19. Re: Back in the Day...

    #139
Okay, updated XP totals.  We have slightly less than I thought we did because I forgot to change the number of players the XP is divided by.  Also, am I right in thinking that characters not present for an encounter don't get the XP for it?  (In this case, Tristan.)

Anyway.  Me, Dozus, Wulf, and Pariah have 535.  Shadow has 585.  Chaos has 180.  Valadaar has 121.  Scras has 485.
  20. Re: Back in the Day...

    #140
Will be posting tonight. Sorry for the one day delay. WOOT!

Primary plan to reduce enemy base camp:

Inital team conducts recon of enemy camp, tampering with food or drink while there (if possible)

Main team preps ambush site while recon is underway
ambush uses available resources to control enemy movement
fire based trap using booze and sodium if available (did we get any sodium?)
If recon team has to evade, they lead enemy into ambush site

    Follow up:
Main Team assaults enemy camp: priority is to confuse enemy and disrupt their command and control
When enemy resistance becomes organized, we flee, leading enemy into ambush site

Also, to the party necromancer: it would be in your best interest if you made sure that Tristan doesn't see the undead you intend to raise. He wasn't there for the argument, and was half awake the last time it came up, so he has no clue about the necromancy. Keeping it that way is quite important to keeping interparty squabbles to a minimum. Though the discussions could go on for hours about the ethics of it...

My suggestion: raise and keep the undead on the other side of the camp from where we'll be attacking, both to keep it away from the clerics and to provide a distraction.

Oh, and can we get a map of the camp from the captured boy? That seems tantamount to organizing the plan. Nothing too fancy, but at least /something/.
  24. Re: Back in the Day...

    #144
Ummm, I hope we arent waiting on me. I'm ready to go, and I'm glad you have a semblence of a plan now, BUT, someone needs to ACT in RP now.

lets roll!!! The Lake of Steam awaits!
  25. Re: Back in the Day...

    #145
How many of the prisoners are interested in coming along? We only have 8 slots in the outriggers, so we may need to make trips.

  26. Re: Back in the Day...

    #146
only John Barley vlounteers to go.

"dont have nuthin to live for anyway. Canna get a drink?"

Mouse will go if forced. He's meek.

The others will get the hell out of the cave unless you choose to detain them  :P

  27. Re: Back in the Day...

    #147
Someone's gotta watch Ollie, if we're not taking him with.
  28. Re: Back in the Day...

    #148
Wow, sorry about the long delay. I'm still working hard at patching up my school work and such, so my posting is still going to be slightly sporatic. Sorry for the delays!
  29. Re: Back in the Day...

    #149
Perhaps Ollie could be brought back to town by the liberated prisoners?
  30. Re: Back in the Day...

    #150
Give them the bounty between them.  We'll either get enough ourselves (or not care about it) soon enough.
  31. Re: Back in the Day...

    #151
    good ideas ^

oh and can someone post who's going downstream, whos' not, and who is in which boat. Thank you. (ooc is fine)

Do not ye dilly dally, for the climax cometh! :dracoliche:
  32. Re: Back in the Day...

    #152
I'm in for part II... But what's the character creation process?
  33. Re: Back in the Day...

    #153
Check Page 1 of this thread, CP.  I think everything you need's there.
  34. Re: Back in the Day...

    #154
posted, and hopefully the others will be along in the other raft shortly!
  35. Re: Back in the Day...

    #155
Take care, guys!  Al least two more bad guys are downriver, and that alarm we avoided was set to alert someone.  They may have heard our discussions before we set off!
  36. Re: Back in the Day...

    #156
For the moment it seems like we have formed a beachhead without resistance. This is good, and we can see about checking the area for lewtz, though I dont expect we will find mich.

Pending Muro's post about the ten bandits with crossbows hiding behind the ale casks (:p) Vee and Aerex should slip off to find the camp as quickly as possible. (Perception checks, hide in shadows checks, and move silently checks) to scout out the terrain, assess defences and the like. Primary objectives:

Detail of perimeter patrols, defences or lack there-of
    Location of Jervoe
    Location of gnoll band
    Location of Ballisinor and Hamako

Unless an opportunity to possible kill one of the named characters comes up, the duo should return to the beachhead to report and plan the attack. Vee is not above slitting Ballisonor's throat should he be found asleep, he's holding a grudge about the illusionary wall, and the pit trap.
  37. Re: Back in the Day...

    #157
I concur, but if Moruz gets a chance, he'll probably also ask of the rogues to see if they can spot the young Percy  Apart from that, lets get this thing going, eh?
  38. Re: Back in the Day...

    #158
It's a little unclear: Did the lizard take off onto the grotto and down a passage there, or did it head downriver?
  39. Re: Back in the Day...

    #159
--The lizard just took off across 15 feet of water to the landing beach. All is well.  :P

--Also, to be clear, you havent reached the bandits. You have reached the half-way landing where Ollie claimed at least 2 guards would be. The cave opening that leads to the outside and the bandit camp is another 15 mins. downstream.

--RP will get hot and heavy this weekend!
  40. Re: Back in the Day...

    #160
I thought the landing was the end of where we had to be in boats, and then the bandit camp was down a tunnel at the landing.
