    YouTube is fun!

Been looking at music videos lately and something strikes me: Damn, the evolution (or devolution?) of music videos is most profound! Take this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BMikAeK8rL0 video. It is from 1982... Quite a change from that to modern day Beyonce videos I'd say. Dunno if that song made it to the States, but it was big in europe at the time.

Other than that... Haha, the video is the veritable field study of Germany in the early eighties!

And the guy with the orange suspenders must be imitiating me out on town or something! :D

    ummm.... Don't tell me.... =_="
I found this funny in some certain reason I don't know...
Well..... yeah... ummm... that is... wait... this isn't serious, is it?
I rea;;y do find it confusing... If this was serious I find it hard to believe....
or just plain unbelievable.... Or this reports contains writings of hypnotism?
Coz some of those who says they are Jesus are complete jokers.... I really do think that if Jesus returns... he will never admit he is Jesus... thus... he will only spread God's good news to people... and one thing I'm very sure of... He will never start it rich!! In his story in the bible... he was a son of a carpenter... and they were never rich... so I think he will never hit it rich in his return...

But jey... I never said that report says he admits his jesus... so uh.... if he did then I guess he did....

I like your style!  Of course, with Nylarthotep (Well, anyone in the Mythos)... you get the utter terror and insanity, then you get the death when they get bored.

I would have to disagree there, m'dear.  Cthulhu, and all the major figures in the Mythos are generally unconcerned with the mental condition of their food, but Ny seems to enjoy the torment he causes, making him an interesting master, being that I'm not too worried about getting eaten before my time.

I am afraid of the strange private's fried rice.

Newt Gingrich is a tool. And like a tool, he needs to be put back in the shed and possibly forgotten about until some antiquers come and find him in about 100 years when his commentary is completely worthless and out of date...dang, it already is.
  36. Re: Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 3

I'm not gonna trust it till I can see exactly what he said.  I've been present during conversations with reporters where elected officals have said "I like the world and think that people should die on occasion" and when I saw a quote it the paper it came out as "I think the world should die."*  At other times and other places Newty's been quoted as saying "the gov't needs to stay the {AutoCensor} out of people's rights."*

Not that I'm gonna defend him without knowing exactly what he said either, but I'm not gonna exactly trust what a blurb about an article says when I can't find anything the blurb was talking about in the article itself.  You know that saying about how when you open your mouth you make a hole you foot can fit into quite well?  Yeah, reread the article and blurb again, just missed a paragraph.  Opps...

*That isn't the exact quote, but it provides a very good example.
  37. Re: Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 3

And that is fact regardless of the source. Media is dictated by several factors and honesty doesn't even make the list. Political propaganda, the journalists' desire for a scoop (or even just to make the deadline), religion, the opinion of the owners of the media house, etc... All of these matter.

But a statement quoted as exactly as this in as public a place as this... Seems real to me. I'd wager that Newty doesn't really know what he is talking about. When people grow old, they grow suspicious and clueless about new technology and trends. And the more clueless they get, the more suspicious they get. It was ever thus.

"Terrorists use this internet thing ya say... Let us put a lid on it then!"

(As for exactly what he said... Follow the link in the slashdot article)
