I eat ribs without a napkin! GRAAWW!
I use the wet-naps, they work better. And there's always that lemon and/or rose water stuff fancy restaurants use.

Too busy eating ribs, sorry. Actually, on a semi-related note, have you guys seen that weird prime-rib sandwich thing that Quiznos or whoever has? How can you have Prime rib without gravy?!

i have absolutely lost all semblance of appetite. Somewhere among the blood and barley filled sausage casings is the potential for a great submission...

    Some ideas...

Goblin Grots - goblin sausages made of blood, but the casing is made from rat guts, making for a very small finger-like sausage. urp

Troll Pudding - the blood and juices of a hapless animal, or human for that matter squeezed from their still warm body into a sausage casing from a large animal, like a cow or something. The resultant leg sized sausage is allowed to ripen...or rot until suitably seasoned for the troll to eat.

    gack!

I really do think that fate has it out for me.  I can prove this in one simple example.

Pariah is nearly finished with his War submission for the nigh-finished quest, when he gets told that the room is getting rearranged.  "No problem," he thinks as he turns off the computer and gets ready to move stuff across the room.

    *BAM!!!*

Pariah jumps as the computer hits the ground, messing up the processor and hard drive in one fell swoop.  Pariah stares at the humk of plastic, metal, and silicon that lies on his living room floor, knowing deep in his heart that he won't be able to finish now.

The prince rode off into the sunset with the sexy princess riding on his lap, and they all lived happily ever after.
    THE END

Ahh, another quest that I didn't submit to now, Ba humbug.

It began as a steady, soft sound, like an Autumn rain on a gabled roof, but the slound grew in volumn. It was a chewing, tearing sound, the sound of wet cloth being ripped in half, the sound of overripe fruit bursting in the heat of the sun. The creatures appeared, tiny as individuals, but as a swarm great and terrible. Each was nearly two feet long and resembled a thick bodied green caterpillar. It it's head was a complex set of mandibles that quickly and effieciently chewed everything ahead of it into digestable pulp.

    Saprolings.

The Call shuddered in horror as the beasts slid through it's posts, their implacable jaws masticating every pointless and inane comment. Each letter was broken down, swallowed, and digested in a disgusting stew of ichor. A few ruptured from their gorging, showering lurid green and black slime across the backs of it's once peers. Rather than quail in terror, the gastric juices were absorbed and the saproling horde chewed even faster.

Slime, rancid as sun-baked mayonaisse, dripped from the last surviving post as the saprolings slipped away into the darkness.

Yeah, our old mouse died and we got a new one.  The sensitivity on this sucker's excessively high.  Also, I just got a hint as to how old my laptop is...  I can't get any higher than 6 fps on NWN, and the game has trouble getting through what people try to say without cranking out 39x10^28 BTUs.

And as the unsuspecting Strolenite celebrated his newly received academic laurels, the hideous and eldritch reality of working for a living lurched closer.  Its yellowed fangs dripping bile, its rugose, leprous flesh undulating with an unwholesome undead animation, it bore the unmistakable signs of a creature that was paid by the hour...

It was the bane of all that is wholesome, the personnel manager.

My friend and I were having an argument about who would win in a fight: Drizzt Do'Urden or Eragon. I say Drizzt he says Eragon so I want to take a little vote. Vote Drizzt or Eragon if you want or just ignore this but I must prove that Drizzt is dominate!!!!!!! What are you waiting for? VOTE!!!!
  27. Re: Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 3

    #427
Um... you *are* aware that most people here will vote Eragon just because most of us hate Drizzt with a passion, right?
  28. Re: Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 3

    #428
Drizzt would kick his amateurish buttox. It helps that Eragon is an idiot and walks like a dolt into the most obvious dangers where Drizzt would slice him into balogna.

Oh look, I found a rock. Oh it is a dragon. I guess I will hide it for a while.  I am just an idiot boy from the village but won't listen to this dude that knows all about dragons. Wait, I dreamed of a princess. Ok, me go save her. Ugh.

Drizzt would just have to point and say, "Look, a girl needs your help." That would be it. Double scimitars to the idiot boy's neck.

I disliked Eragon with a passion. I just hope the books made him out better than the movie. (I like Drizzt, not the overused abused one of today, but my initial reaction to him when I first read the series.)

   I applaude you Strolen,  you are a believer. As for you Ria, shame shame i know your name. :D I have read the Eragon books and they're not as good as the Drizzt's way longer and better series.

    Drizzt: 1

    Eragon:1
  30. Re: Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 3

    Make that

    Drizzt:2

    Eragon:1

    counting me.
  31. Re: Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 3

    Drizzt: 3

    Eragon: 1

I've not seen the movie (have no intention of doing so either) and I've not read the book (see previous comment) Eragon. I have read 'about' it and from what I've gathered from this reading and absolutely no word of mouth info about it, the general consensus is that Eragon is Luke Skywalker (whiny rock-kicking and cocky-pilot alike) who just happens to ride a dragon. I did read the Drizzt book to see the original that spawned so many hideous copies. Imagine my surprise to find that he is a rather introspective drow who is almost killed by his first encounter in the first book. Not quite the bad-ass I was expecting.
  32. Re: Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 3

    Ah, heck!

Samwise Gamgee would kick BOTH their arses!  And, he'd find the time to gripe about how much better things were in the Shire while he did it!

"THIS one's for my Gaffer!  And THIS one's for your stupid dialogue, you useless git!"

    Drizzt: 3

    Eragon: 1

    Sam: 1
  33. Re: Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 3

    #433
Alright then! Samwise Gamgee is in the voting. It is now Drizzt vs. Eragon vs. Sam. And which book did you read Scas because I hope it wasn't Homeland. That book was the worst book I ever read. Read the Ice Windale series.

    Drizzt: 3

    Eragon: 2

    Sam: 1

Eragon gets another point counting my friend.
  34. Re: Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 3

It would most definitely be Vorodon who won.  I mean, all three of the others could gang up on out cute and cuddly ogre, and he'd still be able to win, through a combination of unintelligibility and shear strength.

    Drizzt: 3
    Eragon: 2
    Sam: 1
    Voro: 1
  35. Re: Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 3

    #435
Ok then...Who the **** is Vorodon? Whatever, I'll add him anyway but I still want to know who he is.

    Drizzt: 3

    Eragon: 2

    Sam: 1

    Voro: 1

No more added character though. Stick with these four. Or else I'll eat you liver.......
  36. Re: Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 3

    #436
can we just add one more? Chuck Norris
  37. Re: Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 3

I want to change my vote with the latest addition!
  38. Re: Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 3

With a single roundhouse kick, Chuck Norris could destroy all of the combined entrants. As a matter of fact, Nuclear bombs were originally measured in Norris Roundhouse Kick units (CNRHK - units) but it got tiresome using all of the small fractions so the DOD adopted the kiloton/megaton measure.
  39. Re: Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 3

    #439
Chuck Norris could destroy everyone! So I will replace this Voro guy with him.

    Drizzt:3

    Eragon:2

    Sam:1

    Voro:1 Chuck Norris:?
  40. Re: Re: The Call of Captain-thulhu part 3

    #440
Never mind. No Chuck Norris because we all know he would win, no contest. Just Drizzt, Eragon, and Samwise Gamgee.
