Understood. Panther doesn't go again for a little while anyways.
  2. Re: [Asydia] OOC: Humble Beginnings

Which is why i included a link to the desc.  :)

But then you spelled out all the other effects.  Everyone relies on you to know the rules val, you need to take your job more seriously.  ;)
  3. Re: [Asydia] OOC: Humble Beginnings

    #123
Actually I did mean to include that part, but my copy-paste-fu rolled a 1.
  4. Re: [Asydia] OOC: Humble Beginnings

I got you man.  Me and my memory that's not quite as good as Moon's.  :D
  5. Re: [Asydia] OOC: Humble Beginnings

Right, made a quick post: sorry about delays and such! I am working on a bunch of shit in real life and it saps my time and motivation :p i post in Misadventures cos its quicker and easier for me to do so.

Anyways! Continue on at your leisure.

Now for a discussion on how best to report the successful completion of this quest.  All Duxo knows, because you lot were busy speaking in tongues at the time, is that you came to the cave looking for Tar-Sul, because he's the one you questioned about anything other than a scarred face.  I for one, entirely out of character until Duxo knows what you do, say that we stab Tar-Sul in the throat, heal him and tell him to go to a new village, then report to the village elder that his throat was cut.  In the middle of the night we dig up the chest and split it 50/50 w/ TS.  It's not that I don't trust the elder, but this keeps TS from potentially being killed for his rightfully procured loot (if you find buried treasure it's yours, same rules as tossing something in the garbage, once it's no longer in your possession and off your property...)
  7. Re: [Asydia] OOC: Humble Beginnings

    #127
Stabbing him in the throat sounds a bit extreme and excessive. I'm down with Echo's idea, just tell em it sunk in the swamp or something, if they still hold a grudge, we'll kill em. Since they seemingly don't have the funds to pay us for our troubles, it's very likely that they're going to ambush us anyways.

Yay, murdering peasants! Do I get an epic succubus mount if I make their kids watch?
  9. Re: [Asydia] OOC: Humble Beginnings

    #129
My, steal a few religious dohickies and its express train to hell time :)

You're the worst paladin ever. :P

My, steal a few religious dohickies and its express train to hell time :)

I don't hold the peasants responsible for the orc's gang stealing the life-orbs, but yeah that's a really big thing, like finding necromancers or something. The life-orbs count as our souls after all. But Demy-Sefrab and his bunch are no doubt criminals in their own right for trying to trick us like that. I won't go out of my way to kill em, but if they press the point, meh.

Basically, I shall prepare a form for the the dumb-butts to fill in and sign:

"I, , herewith certify that I foolishly attack the player characters of my own will.

    * I wish to die by [ ] decapitation; [ ] dismemberment; [ ] beating with my own torn-off limb; [ ] other (please specify).

    * I wish my family to be [ ] slain; [ ] sold to slavery; [ ] raped; [ ] sacrificed to dark entity (please specify); [ ] a combination of the above (please specify);

    * Please [ ] torch my village; [ ] salt the ground; [ ] curse my land forevermore (specify curse).

    * Please specify where you have hidden your valuables: ........

    * Enter name and address of people most likely to come to avenge you: .............

If this doesn't get the point across, nothing will :D
  12. Re: [Asydia] OOC: Humble Beginnings

    #132
Hey, now, I don't agree with this form of yours at all, Echo. Where is the spot for them to tell us where the other townsfolk's valuable are? If we're going to the expense of buying all that salt for the fields, potentially, then I need suitable compensation, and just Demy's loot won't cut it. Especially after its cut five ways.
  13. Re: [Asydia] OOC: Humble Beginnings

    #133
Alrught, reasoning: we have a cleric here, and can heal him.  Additionally by saying "his throat was cut" any truth magic they want to throw at you lot up agrees with your statement.  A sense motive check might say something is wrong, but they can't prove anything.  The villagers /don't/ know about Duxo, which means that he doesn't need to go back in town with you lot, allowing him to break everyone but the paladin out of prison if you're arrested; bonus points because that also means there's someone who can cut his throat and not be asked "Did _you_ slit his throat?"

This also allows Goss's and Echo's charrys' honor to not get in the way with the whole lying thing; they just need to not tell the whole truth. :D
  14. Re: [Asydia] OOC: Humble Beginnings

    #134
I actually have a Bluff of 9, by the way, so I can mislead them quite a bit, and they will not ask the right questions if you roll well, eh? :D Tell them partial truths they want to hear?
I just think Tar-Sul should get a chance to stay home.
  15. Re: [Asydia] OOC: Humble Beginnings

    #135
He said when you rescued us he was looking to skip town, and not solely for his safety: here.  Besides, this way we don't need to kill the whole village.  Lvl 1 commoners are crap for XP anyway. :P
  16. Re: [Asydia] OOC: Humble Beginnings

    #136
    Oh, good.
Leaving the Muck is a sensible thing to do.
  17. Re: [Asydia] OOC: Humble Beginnings

    #137
Pariah advocating that we NOT kill everyone??? What's going on here?!   :Thud:  :P
Personnally I feel cutting the throat sounds a bit macabre and extreme, but okay if it'll save lives... And hey, if he dies, more treasure for us!

Also, have we levelled up yet?
  18. Re: [Asydia] OOC: Humble Beginnings

    #138
I'm gonna make a summary to make things easier for you SE.

Out of game stuff and Information requested

    -Leveling up
-Detect Magic (Nim) and a Spellcraft check (Me) on the bear pendant, rolled a 17 +9, wanting to know the specifics of how it works, how often it can be used and if a permanent compulsion can be placed on the panthers to stay away from humans.

In Game Events waiting to be resolved

    -Nim is opening the box
-Sigurd is attempting to use the pendant on the remaining panthers.
-Tar-sul's thoughts on how to handle Demy-sefrab and his pack.

Let me know if I missed something.

Duxo searching Korkarr's room for anything interesting/valuable
  20. Re: [Asydia] OOC: Humble Beginnings

    #140
Sorry all. Real life has thrown me a few curveballs lately and i'm swamped with stuff. I don't forsee me getting back to the forum games for a while, so i'm going to have to pause/stop this game.

If someone else is interested in taking over the game as GM, you are very welcome to!
  21. Re: [Asydia] OOC: Humble Beginnings

    #141
I would like to respectively assert my desire to take over for SE as GM of this current Asydia game, hopefully doing justice to both his world and the game. Thus, if there are no objections, I would like for you, SE, to PM me all of your GMing information (notes on plot twists, dungeon ideas, etc.), as well as for my new players to PM me their character sheets.

Though I would still play Auxzali during the game, I will try my best to stay unbiased. If you as a group so desired that I cease play, with another person taking over as the cleric, or stepping in as a new cleric with Auxzali dying a tragic death, than I would happy to make that happen.
  22. Re: [Asydia] OOC: Humble Beginnings

    #142
SOLD! Good luck, Caesar, and I wish you all the best of luck.
  23. Re: [Asydia] OOC: Humble Beginnings

    #143
    Fair enough!
Personally, I would prefer a new player joining over you playing a GMPC.
(GMPCs never worked out for me personally when I ran one).

I have Sigurd in google doc format, hence will send you the links.
  24. Re: [Asydia] OOC: Humble Beginnings

    #144
Wow, that's a first..? But okay, I'll give it a whirl.
    CS incoming.
  25. Re: [Asydia] OOC: Humble Beginnings

    #145
Well then, we will need someone to play Auxzali. So we can get this game moving again, I will relegate him to NPC status and thus play him that way, but if any strolenite wants to join in the Asydian fun, Auxzali is free for take-over. Or for tragic death for the new cleric to step in, who is mysteriously of similar level and inclinations as the rest of the party.

So, my players, go badger some strolenite to joining us. I give you permission to use any means necessary

    GM post incoming!

(And as a side note, SE sent me your character sheets, so I don't need you all to send me them anymore).
  26. Re: [Asydia] OOC: Humble Beginnings

    #146
You need mine anyways, because it was updated several times. The one I sent you is the current one. And you can't have Auxzali leave/die, then Zelas doesn't have any reason to be travelling!
  27. Re: [Asydia] OOC: Humble Beginnings

    Loot:

    Dead Guard:
Magical Gator-Hide armor: Effectively Studded Leather +2.
Magical Gator-Hide Bracers: Bracers of Natural armor +1(ac).
Magical Necklace: As per this (type 1) http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic-items/rings/ring-of-spell-knowledge

    Korkarr:
Bear Necklace: +6 to handle animal, allows communication (animal can disobey orders- Korkarr used amulet to train panthers, not to control them)
Scorpion Tail Bracelet: pricking victim poisons them, type/effect of poison random

    Chest:
    285 platinum pieces (1 platinum=10 gold, 285 platinum=2850 gold)
Notes (I wonder what is written on them in Sen-Rabbian? )
  28. Re: [Asydia] OOC: Humble Beginnings

    #148
Ooooh, more gator stuff. I'll take the bracers and the necklace. Unless you wanna roll for it, val?
  29. Re: [Asydia] OOC: Humble Beginnings

    #149
I'd definitely dice for the necklace given my limited spell selection...
  30. Re: [Asydia] OOC: Humble Beginnings

    #150
(18:39:31) Minion: Gossamer rolls 1d20 and gets 4. Looks like you get it, but didn't you already have a necklace?
  31. Re: [Asydia] OOC: Humble Beginnings

    #151
    No, bracers like these ones.
  32. Re: [Asydia] OOC: Humble Beginnings

    #152
13:42:26) Minion: valadaar rolls 1d20 and gets 1.

Well crap. Though the bracers _are_ totally useless for her, since she already has a pair.
  33. Re: [Asydia] OOC: Humble Beginnings

    #153
The gator stuff is from the dead guard in the water that Auxzali found. You guys have just finally identified it. There is only one dead guard with gator hide magic items, so only one pair of bracers, unless you guys had bought some before heading off into the cave. Does this clear things up?
  34. Re: [Asydia] OOC: Humble Beginnings

    #154
I'm giving the ring to val, since Nim needs more spell slots more than Zelas do.  Oh, well crap. I guess I don't get the bracers either then. :(

Edit: val gave me the bracers! Yay!
  35. Re: [Asydia] OOC: Humble Beginnings

    #155
A paladin is usually humble and stuff, but I've gotten diddly so far, and there's not much I can use a studded leather or AC bracers for (I assume the bracers do not stack with other armor?).
The only useful thing for me is the amulet, as I have a high CHA, and the coin. So, please keep this in mind ;)
  36. Re: [Asydia] OOC: Humble Beginnings

    #156
You didn't include the gator sandals though?
  37. Re: [Asydia] OOC: Humble Beginnings

    #157
The sandals aren't magic, Goss, if that's what you're asking.

Anyway, when you guys decide to leave and stop bickering over loot, I'll fast forward it to the cave mouth and the rest of your journey.

In concern to leveling up, you guys will each level after you guys finish this plotline, AKA go see Demy-Sefrab and leave Werstone/Sen-Rab for the distant reaches of the Esgoloth.
  38. Re: [Asydia] OOC: Humble Beginnings

    #158
    Oh...Guess they're just stylish then.

Things to finish up: Zelas asked Auxzali about the glass scorpion, and then there's the whole Panther situation.
  39. Re: [Asydia] OOC: Humble Beginnings

    #159
What situation? :D Can I take 10 on leatherworking?
  40. Re: [Asydia] OOC: Humble Beginnings

    #160
Meanie. Poor panthers. Try making a deal with em!
