Btw. guys, I might have hurried a bit. So, if you want to launch the Daedalus prior to second frigate plowing up Dessy's behind (perhaps in an attempt to distract her), I will edit my post.
  2. Re: OOC

    #162
    I would back that change.
  3. Re: OOC

    #163
Sure, I'll back it as well sounds like a good plan.  8)

(Using the Daedalus to block the second frigate from getting close enough to board the Liracor would be handy.
  4. Re: OOC

    #164
    For the blocking:
(08:45:51) Minion: EchoMirage rolls 1d100 and gets 83.
    > Failure. I will describe it as "freighter being of course less dextrous than a frigate"

For the distraction (a competing roll):
    Freighter:
(08:46:02) Minion: EchoMirage rolls 1d100 and gets 28.
    Frigate:
(08:48:20) Minion: EchoMirage rolls 1d100 and gets 50.

I guess the frigate is distracted. Please post suggestions on possible distraction here.
  5. Re: OOC

    #165
Quan could have the Daedalus make an attack run on the frigate. Even with some of the weapon systems power funneled into engines & shields, it should still make enough for a distraction(?).

That's assuming Quan's back on the Lil's bridge to pilot remotely. Could still do it if he's on the Daedalus itself, but that is obviously risker to both him and Jerome, assuming he's still on the frigate.
  6. Re: OOC

    #166
The Daedalus is a scout transport ship, so does not bear any weaponry that would be useful against a military spaceship. It can pew-pew a few savages while the captain dramatically runs up the closing loading ramp.
    (sorry to disappoint)

As for Quan's and Jerome's location, they headed back to the Lila as far as I know? If they did, they're on the Lila.
  7. Re: OOC

    #167
Several thousand tons of  starship hurdling in your direction makes for a pretty powerful distraction, especially when the remote operator can do near miss maneuvers and keep hugging them so close weapons fire is a risk to near by ship, or just kamikaze straight into them from a rear angle?  :axeman:
  8. Re: OOC

An update to the personal situation.

Depending upon how things progress, I'll likely be disconnected from the internetz due to being taken back into the dreaded hospital.

That could happen at any point over the next few days/week. Hopefully this won't be the case but preperation never hurts. Semper Paratus is the phrase I think I'm looking for.

Arrangements have been made about posting in the meantime, if le GM doth approve.

Not doing a sympathy gag or anything like that, I just feel it's best that the group is informed and knows that things are for the most part out of my control for the time being.

Also, I should have a HP post up later today, with a little luck :P
  9. Re: OOC

    #169
Here's to your rapid recovery, Kass.

As for the Daedalus, I'm up for a Crynyd Manuever.

    Intensify Forward Fire Power!!!
  10. Re: OOC

    #170
    I concur.
  11. Re: OOC

    #171
I'll remove my post once Echo has retconned the Kamakazie scout and its attempt to ram the would-be violators of Dessy.
  12. Re: OOC

    #172
Ramming succeeded, sadly the Daedalus had neither speed, nor an active gravitic sheath (you gotta leave the dock on impulse drives), plus she was not a military vessel - the warships usually run their sheath generators hot, to go from stealth to battle mode a.s.a.p., while civilian vessels do not have a hot mode to make sure the drives actually last.

The Prize has hot coil capability, the Lila does not. The Daedalus didn't either, it makes no sense to fry your drives by running hot while exploring unsettled space.

Hostile vessel has taken damage to speed, firepower and crew. Good job, ye stinky space dogs!

Sorry for the late reply, 5 hours of sleep over the past 48 and a hectic schedule have made things more difficult than I'd prefer.

Post up, and will ideally post from hence forth without delays, but now, sleep beckons.  :Thud:
  14. Re: OOC

    #174
Ok, just to get my bearings, which ship is Jerome on again? It appears to be the Lila.

  15. Re: OOC

    #175
Jerome and Quan are on the Lila, if I am not mistaken.
  16. Re: OOC

    #176
Correct, we got off the frigate in a timely manner.

I'll post in the next hour or so.
  17. Re: OOC

    #177
    Hello everybody,

I'm back to see how things go. Admitted on Wednesday to hospital, appendix out the next day, now I'm back and meant to be recovering. Also doped up on meds for recovery and Tonsilitis. Lucky me.

I'll try to be active again, but activity might not be as much as I'd like, depends on how my body feels.

    I love you all.

*Goes to catch up on HP*
  18. Re: OOC

    #178
    Hooray, the Kassy lives!
Old stupid appendix, who needs one anyway? :D
  19. Re: OOC

    #179
Glad to have you back dear, the site just hasn't been the same without you.  :D
  20. Re: OOC

    #180
    Thank you both :)

Well, the appendix does have some use, it can provide a boost to your immune system against some disease/virus/infection/cancer/whatever it was I can't remember.
  21. Re: OOC

My understanding is it acts like a repository for 'flora'.  I'm no doctor.
  22. Re: OOC

    #182
    Is radio working?

  23. Re: OOC

    #183
    Roll your appropriate skill.
We know Autumn was not able to reach you in her last post (rolled 94).
  24. Re: OOC

    #184
Boys and girls - a question:
    > Do you wish that a Morskoi is alive on the approaching vessel, freshly emerged from stasis? Or are they dead?
  25. Re: OOC

    #185
Voting in favor here. Be an interesting diplomatic encounter for sure. Though not sure how the Morskoi will take to the impersonation of their officer/rescue and defence of their ship.
  26. Re: OOC

    #186
Just wondering about sub-accounts (again). Mine seems to have disappeared. Should I bother making one again for this, considering that all of my posts are on this account? Or just wait until a fresh RP comes along, so that everything is streamlined from the start? (val, if you see this, same thing for Thereafter)
  27. Re: OOC

    #187
You can have as many sub accounts as you want (I have around 6 I think?) up top where it says "Hello yournamehere) just click the drop down menu of "Switch account" to change between them.
  28. Re: OOC

    #188
Just giving a heads up: I will be posting, it's just the day has only so many hours. Aaaand not all of them are writey ones :(
  29. Re: OOC

I know about that. The sub-account (Irina) is no longer there though. I also checked my profile page, and the manage sub-accounts section; in both places it didn't show up.

I'm just wondering if it's worth it.

Just curious if there's any word from Dozus on if he's still playing or not?

Regardless of his status could we kindly get an update from Sunny in game regarding his prognosis? (saves me masking a IC post just to ask her.)
  31. Re: OOC

    #191
Sure, I shall produce a larger Sunny post soon-ish.
    Sunny will touch upon:
    *Quan
    *Kotiri

As for this chapter, essentially all the conflict has been resolved.
What I see as open is:
    > Salvage the Prize.
    > GTFO.
    > Drive Kotiri home, get a kiss in front of the door.

We will be having a brief interlude then :) More to come!
  32. Re: OOC

    #192
    Sounds like le plan
  33. Re: OOC

    #193
Personally, I'm fine with a GM summary of our inspection and salvage of the Prize Echo if you'd prefer to advance the scene quicker.

Not sure how others feel about that though so bringing it up here.
  34. Re: OOC

    #194
Am good as well. Jerome wants to make sure we don't have any new stowaways, out of control drones, or hidden explosives with long duration timers. At least those not _well_hidden. We do need to get going.

He will also attend to corpsman's duties as need be, making sure to loot anything usable.

  35. Re: OOC

    #195
Sorry people but I'm going to need a short break. Brain fog is making posting anything RP or sub related near impossible. I'll be taking a short break - no more than a few days - just to recover and get my head cleared. In te meantime I'd request that either Echo or Silveressa takes over my character. I realise that the RP is at an important stage, but I have no other choice atm. :(
  36. Re: OOC

    #196
Got it covered, I'll keep the scene moving forward without making any significant changes for your char if at all possible.  8)
  37. Re: OOC

    #197
I think the universes have overlapped, and we have received another Ivanova :D but Irina is "Ivanovova" by surname :)
  38. Re: OOC

    #198
Btw, have you told Corian where he can contact you?
    Just asking.
  39. Re: OOC

    #199
Hey everybody, Silver, Val, Dozus, Kassy - thanks for the chapter 1.
It's been a fun ride, for sure.

Please, write up a few interactions between your PC and someone else of the crew, they do not have to be as excessively long as the Helia-Autumn roll.
    Include:
Quan, Jerome, Autumn, Helia, Irina, Kotiri.

Not all possible combinations have to be explored.

There are two options: Either these are part of Chapter 1, or will be in a separate topic, called "Meanwhile". Choose.

I will wrap up chapter 1 after take-off from Kotir.

Letting you know I'm back on board Echo. You wan't a post rigging up from Irina, or are you moving us forward?

Trying to ignore RL issues by doing something else, here's a good place to be :)
