Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#482If this were a novel, That chapel scene is what i'd have drawn for the book cover ^^
'camera' angle just outside the arched window which they had just climbed in through - stained glass shards littering the place, sending rays of light in all directions, the back of an undead senrenite priest on his knees in shock, peering at his fallen comrades and the toppled statue, and the back of an outlandish warrior, Ouzala slung over his back and arms crossed as he surveyed the scene. I'd sure buy that book! :D -
Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#483I'd buy it. -
Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#484Muro, is there an alternate way up and out into a choir loft or such in the chapel. Just would like to know... just in case. -
Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#485Hmm, there is a second window...and the locked door. There is a loft though yes, but it seems the way "up" may be through the door.
Careful, Moon :P
Will absorb all posts and post results tomorrow!! WOOT!! We are nearing a fever pitch
so, tomorrow, I'll post:
1) "The Half-Ogre Speaks to Grilgrull"
and
2) "The Chapel Trio."
and
3) "Enter Alzamus"
Wheee!! thanks for posting everyone!!! I think we are all caught up now!!
Oh, and our new additons, AG, Moon, and Wand are posting great as well!! Kudos gents!!! -
Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#486In case it wasn't clear:
Voro is going to distract the giant, hopefully giving some of the party a chance to slip in unseen elsewhere. If he doesn't just jump Vorodon on sight, maybe he can keep him busy, giving the rest of the team a chance to infiltrate.
That giant can pound any one of us into a paste, I don't want to risk a fair fight with it. -
Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#487I knew ol' Voro had a method to his madness. -
Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#488Say Henge, Aethelstan - you two could play dead with those bloody hoods over you ^^ perhaps dig yourself partways into the other corpses. Gruesome, but the option is there :D I'm sure the other corpses would love to harbor the undead and the druid! -
Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#489Are you guys drowning Muro in private messages too, or am I the only one doing that to him? -
Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#490Just tell ol' birdman when his cue is to claw out somebody's eyes -
Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#491will do! Sorry CP. I believe we need to switch you back. :P
But, if your want, you CAN fly wherever the heck you like, including any given tower or monastery window, or?
Okay, Jjuldae's mind returns to the Osprey's body. Does that help? :P -
Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#492Okay, new idea. I will try to keep the posts short from here on to climax. Less description, more action.
So, to begin, READ THIS:
--Vee Keykold is in a small room half-way up the tower (see pic) and just found Donovan's second note
--Jjuldae is outside, doing whatever it is Ospreys do at night, BUT, his mind at least suddenly returns.
--Talia, Kadarin, Aerex, and Mouse are crouching outside, near the main doors of the monastery, but seem about to take action.
--Henge, Aethelstan, and Moruz are listening to a peculiar knock on the door of the chapel. Also, not that they know this, but now Grilgrull is coming as well. He'll be there soon. :P
--Alzamus and Donovan are in the dining hall.
--Dujek and Vorodon are running out of the dining hall (much to Alzamus' chagrin :P) and chasing down the stone giant, who is hauling the emotionally charged (;)) monk, Tirron, to the chapel.
BUT, BUT, BUT!!! Alzamus just cast a sleep spell on you two. No saving throw, just sleep. Though technically you'd be "asleep" for a round or two at most, in game terms its enough for someone to tie you up. When you awaken you'll be tied to the dining hall table. (Unless I forgot how 1st edition/1st level sleep spell works :P)
If you guys have any issues with this, let me know. I'm sure Wulf aint going down without a fight :D
To recap, umm, I will post tomorrow. Need time to think!
As always, any and all comments/questions/issues most welcome! I am, at the end of the day, at the mercy, of you...the PCs.

Re: OOC: Back in the Day...

Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#498We are playing old school... Charm is whatever you can con your GM into letting it. I have seen the results be "He is your best friend!" and You are totally in love with them" to, He has a positive reaction to you, like rolling 12 on the reaction chart (2d6. the olllllldd chart)

Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#499I'm confused as crap. :(
Is AG getting attacked, or is it a strategic withdrawal under fire, or is he leaving while they're aiming? Me being tied up and gagged-ish does limit my actions, but I'd still like to know. -
Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#500The way I understand it (correct me if I am wrong Muro):
- Talia and Aerex are preparing to attack the wizard, planning to strike at the best possible time.
- They have not yet struck
- Alzamus is leaving. He does not know of Talia and Aerex. Talia will likely get in a shot, Aerex... I dunno. Muro's call. All I know was that I wanted Wulfhere to weave Alzamus words into his actions, then Alzamus would withdraw. -
Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#501Well, Talia and Aerex were going to attack at the same time, so I don't guess either of us will get a shot, unless Muro says we are quick like bunnies. -
Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#502Here's the scene as I understand it: (AG is pretty much correct, oh and good question P!)
Alzamus has just finished sending Donovan, Voro-thrall, and Lazanne to the tower. They are on their way, when Talia, Aerex and Kadarin have just sneak attacked from the doorway into the dining chamber.
They have:
1. Shot an arrow (Aerex)
2. Thrown a fan (Talia)
3. Web spell(!) (Kadarin)
I rolled a surprise roll and Alzamus & Co. was not surprised, (they see you at the last second). I then rolled initiative however. Aerex, Talia, and Kadarin won (that Dex is paying off :)). So they will now proceed with their attacks.
Alzamus was begininng to follow behind Vorodon, Donovan, and Lazanne, with Mazoma and Galod (dragging Dujek), when they turned to spy glimpses of Aerex,Talia, and Kadarin, and prepare to defend themselves (or whatever).
WILL POST BY 10PM EST

Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#503So I guess that means that Alzamus and co saw us, but projectiles were already in the air when they did see us? How does that work? -
Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#504works like this:
Arrow, Fan, and Web Spell(!) fly, then Alzamus, Galod, Mazoma can act/attack. Dujek is a bit screwed I guess, but then again the courageous and stalwart Koschei is in the building! :P -
Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#505If Dujek is smart, he will hit the floor as soon as he can, because Galod (I'm assuming that's crossbow guy?) can't fight back and hold onto him at the same time. -
Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#506If "IFs" and "BUTs" were candy and nuts, we'd all have a merry christmas :) -
Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#507Yeek. How hurt is Mouse? -
Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#5080 HP. -
Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#509Well, fusk. -
Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#510Wait... how the hell did it hit him? You said he was standing *behind* Kadarin. -
Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#511well, behind, and slightly to the left :P -
Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#512Does being at zero work the same way as it does in 3rd? As long as he doesn't move, will his hit points drop? And if they do drop, does he die at -10? -
Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#513PIECE OF SH**!!! Let's see, in elementry school they always said stop drop and roll, maybe Dujek'll get lucky. -
Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#514The poorly prepared can be very, very dangerous. -
Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#515Perhaps we shouldn't plan any more, ever. This seems to be going kinda well, only one PK in the making, and that one's kinda accidental... Or not. -
Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#516Agreed. From now on, we shoot arrows and bolts wildly into the air, magic a-blazing, knocking down doors, kicking ass, and taking names. -
Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#517Fortunately for Alzamus, Voro is not too good at following orders! Hearing the ruckus, he has returned to keep his new bestest buddy and his other friends from hurting each other... -
Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#518Well. That did work better than expected. So Chapel people, do we chase him (only after I cut the ensnaring vie), or go our merry way to find the big bad as zombie monks, or do we have another option? -
Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#519An Army of the Dead and Dying stirs inside the gory chapel, led by the walking corpse, and the dead-mimicking druid and warrior. This crew should act rather qucikly, because many of their companions are about to be f*****. :P
Kadarin, Talia, and Aerex are about to be somewhat screwed in the Burning Hall. Mouse is stabilized. I wont even mention Dujek (dang! mentioned him), who is Cocoon-Boy at the moment, though his good buddy, Vorodon has come to the rescue, if a bit addled himself. Alzamus, however, is pissed at the moment, and hence you are all screwed :P
Vee and Donovan are chatting. Lazanne is passed out. Keykold and Ruthvyn are close to a surprise of their own up in Alzamus' bedroom.
Jjuldae is nearby, tracking Fyrfyrion like a vole from above, but also MIA, so not sure whats happening there :P Fyrfyrion is a busy little bee as well, and will soon be making another appearence if Cappo doesnt have his way with the nasty quasit.
well, that abouts covers the immediate timeframe...will post late tonight, or FIRST thing tomorrow morning (EST). We have guests at the moment...sigh...and I've been imbibing...stuff. -
Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#520Okay that was a lame post. But it got us moving. I will try to embellish it tommorow.
