you hit Cap! Post away, oh and the spear head has a streak of silver vein in it. (werewolf)

Yep, my turn to post. Will be doing so later today and again tonight. Thanksgiving proved ummm, time consuming. Then I fell asleep.

All combat will be finished tonight!
  3. Re: Back in the Day...

    #363
You fell asleep? Blasphemy! My brother, brother in law, and his little brother spent all night playing Lord of the Rings Risk. I got mebbe 2-3 hours rest, tops.

Oh, and the lack of a post from Tristan comes from the fact that he got toasted horribly. He's not doing anything for a while.
  4. Re: Back in the Day...

    #364
noted. A wise and realistic choice, Tristan, considering you presently have 1 HP. Well, had 1 HP, the potion administered by Kadarin healed, *rolling*, 6.

(next post coming in half hour)

Killed/Defeated: The White Wolf (775), Veitch the Doppelganger (460)

Found: On the Lycanthrope nothing. On Veitch, 2 rings(?). One of chrysoberyl on an eletrum band, one of jasper on gold. A long, curved knife, with what was once, contact poison, but is now charred and harmless.

from this moment on, I will keep track of XP in the background, lessening your chores. I will always be able to tell you how many you have and how many you may need for next level whenever you ask.

I am waiting to see what Aerex and Vorodon do next. I am not sure if they will attempt to seek "justice" on behalf of Maegla and Bross, or agree to go north. I am also never quite sure what Jjuldae may be thinking at any given time  :P, Kadarin, Dujek, and Tristan are on the fence I believe, but I am pretty sure, Vee, Moruz, Glordren, Vorodon, Talia, and Aerex, and perhaps others, have decided to head north for various reasons. If the group is indeed ready to go, I have a neatly packaged, fast-forwarding post which propells you "Three Days Later" and "North" ready to go.

    Let me know.

If anyone has any thoughts, ideas, or comments, now is as good a time as any.

There has also been a rising sussurus whispering of "split" party plots or groups branching off from the Gang of TEN. Looking for thougts on that as well

And as always, if anyone doesnt want to go on in RP, now would be a good time to let me know.

I'd like to go on with the game... Of course, having had his nature-boy body ripped open by a divinely-sent undead werewolf assassin, Jjuldae will probably require a period of convalescence (though his healing can be aided with *oooooh sparkly magical druid herbs*).
  7. Re: Back in the Day...

    #367
After a quick conference with Ria, Voro was able to get some help from Talia...

We'd better keep Voro away from any sparkly druid herbs.  He needs all the wits he can muster.

I have learned that one should never proclaim having an entire holiday weekend availible for doing things on Strolen. It is standard that should such a boast be made that events will conspire to prevent much in the way of meaningful posting.

    Thank you.
  9. Re: Back in the Day...

    I thusly second that.

Edit: Was surfing around, and found a video with a rough approximation of that flindbar Muro beat the crap out of me with. Coreographed, but a cool fight anyways.

  12. Re: Back in the Day...

    #372
I forgot what we are waiting for. Are we waiting for me?  :P

I know Vorodon and Aerex have some devilish schemes up their sleeves and I'm guessing everyone else is waiting to go "north"?

help me out here. Where were we?

(Its all that dang turkey. All that sleep-inducing Meleagris Phasianidae! Like sucking Lithium through a straw!)
  13. Re: Back in the Day...

    #373
We'll proceed with the deviousness after everyone's to bed.  And really, someone should go check on Tristan.  Poor fellow's been through a lot and everyone's downstairs musing.
  14. Re: Back in the Day...

(Cue: Rising Background Music: The Funeral of Seigfried, by Richard Wagner)

Fade In: Vorodon and Talia creep through a dimly lit alley, followed closely by Maegla.

Vordon: “You be good here. Meat Val people be close. They help Maegla.”

    Talia:  “We’ll see.”

Maegla:  (whispers:) “Voro!  Find Bross!  Please!  …And give him this from me”

She hands a strangely knotted piece of cord to Vorodon, then turns and goes with Talia.

Vorodon:  “Be care, Maegla!”  (whispers: ) “Insecter and Vorodon have stop first for make.”

(Vorodon turns and lopes back down the alley toward the Harpy’s Kettle.)

I believe that everyone else is planning to rest so they can roll at dawn (except for Aerax Matare, that devious fellow)
  15. Re: Back in the Day...

    #375
    Thank you! I am renergized!

Will post lots and lots tomorrow morning!!! (after Monday goes away)
  16. Re: Back in the Day...

I believe that everyone else is planning to rest so they can roll at dawn (except for Aerex Matare, that devious fellow)

Though the persistently noble Glorden seems to want in on the action, though he know not what it be. :)
  17. Re: Back in the Day...

    #377
yessir! I believe Glordren was 'down' for clobberin' time, if I read his post correctly. :P

Axtrami haiq Shirin... Ix'Moruz Naikt Varis Dankra

By Axtrami's light... I'm too old for this shit!
  19. Re: Back in the Day...

Interesting.  Do Ouzquin Dremorix not have personal pronouns?  Or at the least, 1st person singular personal pronouns?

EDIT: D'oh!  Stupid word association mistake corrected.
  20. Re: Back in the Day...

    #380
Ouzquin Dremorix, not Axtrami, Dozus :p
And not at this stage, Dozus. I'm still only in the starting stages of working out a language for the OD, but i'm trying to make it more than just substituting one word for some gibberish. I'm considering making their language heavily reliant on prefixes and suffixes to words to get meanings across.
For example, the 'ix' prefix is used when talking about or referring to something, especially when describing that thing. Additionally, the start of some nouns can be used to describe something else. For example with the Ouzala: The Ouz is derived from Ouzquin, meaning glass, and the ala would refer to a spear, or rod, so basically it translates to a 'glass spear'.
Their language is supposed to sound sharp and jagged, and it is supposed to be a difficult language to learn and master. Also, several different meanings may come from the one word or phrase, depending what the conversation is referring to and also the emphasis used on words.

Okay, Insecter and Half-Ogre. I think everyone else is more or less asleep. Care to begin your random acts of violence?

    Proceeding with deviousness. :D
  23. Re: Back in the Day...

    #383
wow, Matare's tale unfolds before our eyes. Kudos D!

Take 50 XP! (wait, I will stop posting bonuses, since I will now be tracking XP all by myself in the background.)

Ever heard of the shirt-ninja? T-shirts are far better for disguise than bedsheets... just try wrapping one around your head to disguise yourself... it's easy!

ITS FRIDAY!!!!!! I will be posting all weekend in RP!!

(I enjoyed everyone's "dream sequences" this week  :P)

Dozus, you just REALLY pissed off Hepple. Stay tuned.

no more XP and XP bonuses in OOC, too much clutter, but wow! beautiful posts lately! I salut you!

  26. Re: Back in the Day...

  28. Re: Back in the Day...

    #388
Just waiting for Vorodon, I am ready to go with the next big all-party post.

Also, interesting news, Tristan has decided to branch off on his own. His solo adventures will continue in a side-thread. He will not be going north.

  29. Re: Back in the Day...

    #389
That leaves me the sole religious nut? Hooray! All your faith are belong to us!
  30. Re: Back in the Day...

    #390
In a side note, that video is seriously off the wall. What the crap was it supposed to be anyways?
  31. Re: Back in the Day...

    #391
    Something Japanese.

A friend of mine organized a convention, with focus upon pop-culture and japanese culture too. There was the cultural atache of the japanese embassy, speaking a few words to the guests... first he spoke in his native language, the interpreter then translated his thoughts. Though it appeared that he translated the words correctly, the meaning evaded most, if not all of the guests, though it was certain to mean something nice and philosophical. The audience was silent, I started clapping. Others joined, the atache was happy and bowed.

I still don't know what he meant. The people of Nighon have many merits, but I don't get them, and vice versa it is likely to be the same.

    #392
If anyone wants to do any last minute thingy in Ganse, now is the time. Later this afternoon, you will be transported north and "3 days later".

    woo-hoo.

(Wulf, reading your post and lmfao. Nice work.)
  33. Re: Back in the Day...

Moruz's near-ritualistic coating of his barbs will take him several hours to finish. He'd opt to take third watch, but stay awake during the first two as well, to do his business. When he finishes, the barbs and spear-point on his Ouzala will be mirrored (though since the reflective surface is on the outside, the coating won't be very well protected, and may wear off over time or much use). More importantly, however, the barbs now have a coating of a silver compound on them, meaning he won't have to resort to that sickle if another werebeastie graces our presence. The silver will wear-and-tear if/when the barbs rake through flesh, and particles of silver will break off and enter the bloodstream.

p.s: Price check on those materials/chemicals, Muro?

    As you can see, Vorodon:

a.) Definitely got up on the wrong side of the bed.

b.) Is not familiar with that breed of sheep.

c.) Has no blinkin' idea what a tea kettle is for.
  35. Re: OOC: Back in the Day...

Will be posting "The Silence of the Lambs" tonight!  :P

    Subtle, that's Voro.
