Tavern Party
#121::Feanin looked far out behind him but could see nothing. He would keep a close lookout on the road. They worked their way out of the forest and by noon they were in rolling hills again. Feanin frequently looked all around them nervously, always keeping his eyes peeled. For the next attack, he would be ready. He worried for Morgandy and Svyel, though. Enemies would almost certainly go for the weak first, and without the Druid and the Fae's help, Feanin worried only his and the knight's strength would not be enough. Feanin now looked up at Morgandy with a sympathetic smile. Something was different. That's when he saw them. Two spiral ram-like horns perched upon the unconcious Morgandy's brow. Morgandy had got her horns! Feanin remembered that once Faes went through a hard, strenous, and exhausting ordeal, they received their horns. Morgandy had definitely deserved them. Wouldn't she be glad when she woke up! With a jolt in his stomach, Feanin remembered the ordeal he had gone through to get his horns. Immediately, he pushed the memory away. It was too hard to bear. Feanin again preoccupied himself with watching for enemies, and by nightfall, they reached the fields that lay before Hillanya.:: -

#122Luke looked around as darkness fell, he was torn between camping in the bursh and going into town. He was used to the woods but he worried a little about Morgandy and Syvvel they were still passed out, maybe they should go into to town. He checked the area one last time then in a soft voice he asked, "Do you want to camp here or in the town?" -

#123OOC: Would any one mind if I intro'd a new character. WIZARD!!! -
Tavern Party
#124OOC: Nope, I don't mind, Svyel.
::Feanin felt a chill of fear and vulnerability. It would be much safer and wiser to stay in Hillanya. "I think we should stay in town. It would be safer. However, don't answer any questions about our business. We don't want too much getting out." Feanin knew how one simple little question could certainly ruin them. He tugged at Augustine's reins and led them to where the entrance to the city was.:: -

#129OOC: HAHAHAHAHA!!! Good one... :) By the way, Adel is back and she'll probably be coming back to the topic soon.
::Suddenly, Morgandy awoke. She had been in an unconcious state for hours. She wondered if she had had a concussion, because she didn't remember alot of the battle. She had just awoke in time to see the familiar blaze of light as the Hillanya gates were opened. Seeing this brought shock to the Fae, and she was frantic because she did not know why they were back in Hillanya. She brought a hand to her brow to shield the glare. That's when she felt them. Two stubs of ram-like horns protruded from her brow. Her coming of age! Giddy with joy at her accomplishment and also still confused about what was going on, Morgandy didn't know whether to laugh or to shout or to cry. That's when Feanin grabbed her hand to get her attention. "I thought you'd be happy about them!" He said with a smile, referring to her horns. "They suit you." Morgandy nodded and giggled with happiness. "Why are we here?" She asked. Feanin answered, "T'would be far too dangerous now to camp outside the city gates. We thought t'would be best to stay the night in Hillanya. Maybe even get a room at the castle again! If they'll be so generous." Morgandy understood fully now. But she still worried if she was suffering from a concussion. Her head pounded painfully. She also worried for Svyel, who was still unconcious behind her. 'Perhaps we can get help in the castle,' she thought.:: -

#133OOC: YAY. New character is a vampire mage. Otiluke's text will be underlined
Otiluke (Sorry I stole the name. I just like it) perched on the top of a building watching the people moving around in the streets below. Out side the main gate was a small group of travellers. He looked at them with his advanced vision and saw that one was completely unconcious. Him being a vampire he needed blood to quench his thirst but he tried not to ue humans. Unfortunatly most other blood his little if no effect. Otiluke moved in closer to the travellers hoping that he would find something out. He has heard many rumours from travellers about one who could cure him of his vamparism.
Svyel still lay unconcious. -

#134OOC: Stole the name from what? :?
::Suddenly Morgandy sensed danger. It came so swiftly upon them she had no time to think on it or to warn the others. It was right behind them. Without a word she quickly unsheathed her short Fae sword from the belt at her waist and carefully slithered down out of the saddle. At first she could barely walk or stand. She had been in the saddle so long it took a few moments to regain her strength. Realizing the peril she was putting them all in by wasting time, she reacted. In a split second she had turned around and had the point of her sword pointed at the stranger. He seemed shocked, and she felt herself glow with self-pride. Suddenly she noticed his two, sharp teeth among all the normal ones. His eyes held a slight shimmer of red and his skin was pale white. There was no mistaking. He was a vampire, and armed with no sword, dagger or bow but just as dangerous without. Meanwhile, Feanin had just realized what Morgandy had so quietly done, and was standing in the middle of the road, in complete bewilderment. Realizing the danger they were in, he unsheathed his longsword and strode up quickly to Morgandy's side.:: -

#135Luke's forgot his katana and pulled out a small short sowrd called a wazaski a smaller version of a katana and a sign of nobility. Luke's eye glinted and he held the blade parallel to kil chest. Even though the vampire was unarmed he had met two before, from the those experiances he knew two things, vampires were extremely hard to kill and they had amazing strength and agility. This one looked a tad on the unhealthy side for a normal vampire. -
Tavern Party
#136::Morgandy tried to calm herself. "Who be you?" She asked as Feanin held his sword at ready. 'I really ought to kill you now.' She thought, but kept it to herself.:: -

#137OOC: I stole the name from the forgotten realms series. Some god or supreme wizard named otiluke. And because it is holiday for some and I'm writing exams and my whole life is weirder I won't be on the internet that often.
Otiluke stood for a moment staring at the three presenting weapons. He grinned slightly for he knew that he could easily avoid them. He forced his face to a more serious expression. "My name is Otiluke. Might you know anything about a vamparism cure?" He stood expectantly while rubbing his tongue over an oversized canine tooth.
Svyel began to drool. -
Tavern Party
#138OOC: Ok, that's fine. Many books have names of characters in other books. I understand that you won't be around for a while, I know the holidays can get busy. :)
::Morgandy was stumped. A vamparism cure? What in the world was that? Perhaps it was what they would need if the vampire happened to bite them. "Is this some sort of trick?" She asked, her hand starting to tremble. "Why should we stand here exchanging casual banter with you, a vampire?!" With that, she could restrain herself no longer. Morgandy lunged at the vampire, her sword aiming straight for his heart. Suddenly she was winded from an arm encircling her waist. Feanin had restrained her. "Are you mad?!" He whispered fiercely in her ear. Just moments ago he had been looking on her with admiration, but now he only had a look of worry and frustration. Morgandy turned away for she felt ashamed. She had wanted so much to protect herself and her friends, that she had nearly put them all in danger.:: -
Tavern Party
#139Luke was surpirsed by Morgandy's sudden act of courage and recklessness, he didn't drop his guard though. Whatever this vampires game was time was on the essence. Things that he would rather not trifle with were on their trail. He could sense things in the trees, things many times worse than the orcs. Something moved in the woods behined the vampire, Luke was mesmorized almost whatever it was it moved fast. Luke lost site of whatever it was, a hag he thought. Luke shifted slightly, the was an errie quiet settled over the group. Everyone seemed to notice something, "We are not alone." Luke stated the obvious. -
Tavern Party
#140::Morgandy suddenly turned her direction to where Luke stared. Something had moved in the woods, and Morgandy had an ominous feeling about it. 'Too many dangers are happening at once!' She thought to herself. She realized, however, that she was becoming more agile and more aware of danger. She was swift to act, and sometimes to think. Morgandy still held her sword at the ready. Feanin stood beside her, and he also looked overwhelmed and worried. Whatever dangers they would face, Morgandy knew that her friends would always be ready at her side.
Meanwhile....
Irinya swung her sword with a fierceness she never knew. With one last 'thwack!', she had dismembered the last orc's head. Before her, two dozen orc bodies lay lifeless. About twenty yards off, Rode stood clutching his arm. Irinya, weary and filthy as she was, trudged frantically over to Rode. "Is it all right?" She asked. She had to pry Rode's hand off his arm to see it. With worry, she beheld a deep, bloody gash. "Oh!" She exclaimed as she quickly searched her pack for the medical supplies they had brought from Hillanya. With luck, she found some ointment and a bandage. Irinya quickly treated Rode's arm, with a little protesting on his part. "There," she said when she was done. Irinya herself was fine. She seemed to have twisted her ankle not long ago, and had a few blade grazes here and there, but overall she was in a better state than Rode. Not ten minutes ago, they had encountered a band of orcs moving towards them. They were forced to fight for their lives. Rode and Irinya were nearly out of the Northern Mountains now, and were headed for the little village of Meil. That was where they would rest, and hopefully where they could get some proper medical treatment.:: -
Tavern Party
#141Otiluke jumped back as the girl lunged at him and noticed that the other man was restraining her. This made him feel a bit worried that they would go for him at any moment. The movement behind him caught his attention. Being a mage he had an unquenchable thirst for knowledge and his curiosity began to bite at his attention. The vampire in him wanted to seize the nearest person and quench his thirst and the human in him wanted to find the cure for vamparism. "If you don't know of it you won't be any help." And he flitted swiftly into the trees to hinder his curiosity.
OOC: I assume you guys had plans for the movement so you say what's in there and I'll act accordingly (DUH!)
Svyel was dead to the world as he lay STILL unconcious. -
Tavern Party
#142OOC: Ok, ok! I guess I didn't get the hint yet about Svyel still being unconcious. Sorry... :(
::Morgandy hadn't known whether to tell the vampire she was sorry or not, because of course, it didn't seem right to apologize to a vampire. When he ran into the bush, she tried to hope they wouldn't have to see him again. "I'm sorry, Feanin." She said. "I'm sorry all of you. I shouldn't have done that. It was stupid." That was when she noticed poor Svyel, still unconcious upon the saddle. "Oh no!" Morgandy exclaimed. She hurried to Augustine's side to have a look at Svyel. He didn't seem to be in a very good state. He had now been unconcious nearly twelve hours! Very unusual indeed. "Luke! Feanin! Hurry and get Svyel some water. Then we must immediately take him to the palace for help." Feanin started searching Svyel's pack for water. "But-" He said as he turned to Morgandy. "What about you? Will you be all right, Morgandy?" As he said this, Morgandy felt a slight jolt of pain run up her leg from a previously twisted ankle. It was ok to walk on, though. "I'll be fine. Don't worry about me." Morgandy said this with a smile upon her face and then turned away bashfully. She knew Feanin loved her, and she also loved him. She was just too shy to confess her feelings.:: -
Tavern Party
#143"Feanin get the water, I am going to check that the vampire is and whatever else is not to close by. Luke stashed the short sword and drew katana he whispered a small charm a small light grew around him that brightened the area. Luke didn't wait for any replies he stole his path along the underbrush. He walked along the circumfrance of the camp, his senses were on fire it had been awhile since their last fight. Yes something had been definately here he found broken blades of grass and a branch snapped here or there. Luke found the path the vampire had taken out of here rather easily, what disturbed him was whatever it was had gone in the same direction as the vampire. After twenty minutes later Luke returned, "Their gone from the vacinity, although i dont think either of them has gone far." Luke helped Feanin with the rest of treating Syvvel. Luke looked out one last time, then worked on getting some food ready. -

#144OOC: The posting of Svyel wasn't exactly desperate hinting. I just don't like not posting about him.
Otiluke rushed through the bushes hoping to find something. But before he knew it something had found him. There was an eerie noise that he could just sense following him. This began to worry him. To get out he took to the trees and sky. Mosting people thought that vampires could fly but they could just jump REALLY well. The cool night air rushed passed him but the adrenaline made him ignore it. He spun round to get a view of what was following him but he saw nothing.
The small white fox that resided in Svyel's bag was disturbed by Faenin's rummaging. It emerged from the small bag that seemed oddly too small to contain it. Yet it did, along with some other supplies that according to logic and physics should not have all fit in the first place. All the objects had one thing in common. They could just fit through the opening of the bag.
The small fox pulled out the amulet that Svyel had used to change him from a horse to the fox he is now. It placed the amulet carefully in Svyel's hand. It then lay on Svyel's chest and licked him on the face hoping to awake him. But still nothing. -
Tavern Party
#145OOC: Ok, but it sure sounded like it was.
::Feanin was startled by the small white fox, forgetting that it even existed. He jumped backwards and cursed under his breath. When he saw what it was he sighed with relief. He looked to Morgandy. "All right," she said. "We should probably get Svyel to the palace. He is the palace Druid and there should be someone to help him. Perhaps we could all even get some rest." With that, she checked that everyone was ready and started leading Augustine by her reins toward the palace. It was now far past dark, and the town was fully lit. Morgandy was still very tired and sore, but she put Svyel before herself and trudged on. Morgandy also wondered where Rode and Irinya would be by now.
Meanwhile...
Rode and Irinya had finally reached the village below. They walked deep into the village, with each step becoming more and more difficult for Rode. Irinya patted her pocket and sure enough, the crystal was still there. Rode and given it to her to carry because she ran faster than him, and could escape faster from the enemy. Finally, they reached a small building in the heart of Meil with a sign that read: 'Medical Merlin: Cure Extraordinaire'. Rode and Irinya assumed this was the closest thing to a Doctor that they would find. Irinya, leading Rode, walked up to the tall dark door and pushed it aside, entering the dimly-lit hut.:: -
Tavern Party
#146As they neared the palace the amulet in Svyel's hand began to glow. There was a faint humming coming from it too. The closer they got to the palace the stronger both of these bizarre traits became. The light was growing and the fox seemed to be happy about it. It could not stop wagging it's tail.
Otiluke became worried about the movement in the forest and headed back to the main town area for his own safety. Vampires were feared by many but there was also many that vampires feared. -
Tavern Party
#147::Morgandy realized this absurd occurence and stared. She tugged at Feanin and Luke's sleeves to bring their attention to it. What could this mean? Morgandy wondered if it was helping to wake Svyel up. All the while this went on though, all the way to the palace, Morgandy and the others could only stare and wonder.
Meanwhile...
The hut was small, and the front room looked like a waiting room; filled with old armchairs, couches, chairs, and a few tables with dim lamps and various books for enjoyment waiting on shelves. Rode and Irinya, now seeing a sign that read, 'Please wait here', sat down warily in two armchairs. "How's your arm holding up?" Irinya quietly asked her companion. Rode shrugged and said, "It's alright." Irinya knew though, that his arm needed medical help immediately, yet at the moment it seemed unavailable. So, Irinya and Rode patiently waited nearly ten minutes. Suddenly, a tall man appeared out from behind a dark blue curtain in the opposite wall. He looked quite old, and wore flowing robes of green velvet, and tiny round spectacles perched on his nose. "Hmmm..." he began, "what do we have here?":: -

#148Luke stood amazed, wondering what was happening his eyes seemed fogged over.
Images were flashing in his head the forest seemed to morpsh infront of him, he stumbled a little and dropped his katana. The world blacked out, outside his body went rigid and his eyes rolled in the back of his head, a voice not his own at all, "Times of change are at hand, enemies of the temptress beware." Luke's postured changed and he became himself, "uhhh what happened?" -
Tavern Party
#149::"Oh dear!" Morgandy cried and rushed to Luke's side. Everything seemed to be happening so fast. At the beginning of their journey, she had been the one most being watched carefully and taken care of. Now, it seemed Morgandy was alone, taking care of everyone else yet at the same time not knowing what to do. That's when she called Feanin over. He quickly came to her side, his eyes large with worry. "What do you make of this?" She asked him. Feanin opened his mouth, but couldn't speak for suddenly Luke was back to normal again and seemed fine, but oblivious to what had happened. Morgandy and Feanin gave each other an exasperated look of worry and confusion. "Luke," asked Feanin. "Can you remember anything of what happened?" He said this in slow tones as if he was talking to a person of foreign tongue. Morgandy realized that their other companion, Svyel, was still unconcious and the amulet was still humming and glowing. Morgandy walked up to Svyel and gently put her hand to his forehead. Quietly, she said some words in the ancient Fae tongue; she was saying a spell that was supposed to revive people who were near death or unconcious. The spell also took one's entire amount of care and want to revive that person, so with all her might Morgandy did this, and when the spell was over she was so weak she nearly fainted again herself. She caught herself though, and supported her weight on Augustine; Feanin did not need three people to care for. Morgandy realized now that on top of her weakness and limpness, her head still pounded, her ankle still felt twisted, and as she looked herself over, she realized she was nearly covered in bruises. "Well, aren't we all a sorry sight." She whispered to herself.:: -
Tavern Party
#150Luke groaned and shook his head a little bit, "Yeah, I'm sorry to bother you all more but I think she knows were coming back." Luke grimaced, "Here come over here Morgandy back when I was a boy a played a game called foot ball, alot of us spranged out ankles all the time. There's a little spell to fix it up, I mean you could plrobaly do it yourself but as you said we do look a little beat." -
Tavern Party
#151::Morgandy was surprised that Luke had even heard her when she said that. She had said it quietly. She was also surprised that Luke could know Yuna's thoughts. He could be a great help to them after all. "Wait," she said. "How do you know what Yuna is thinking? And I'm sorry but, what you just experienced does not convince me that it was just a sprained ankle, Luke." She said this with sincerity as she knelt down beside him. "Can you please tell me exactly what happened?"
Meanwhile....
Irinya hurried to help Rode get up. He was now very weak. "We beg your pardon, sir," Irinya started politely, "for coming here to your door so late at night. You see sir, my friend and I were traveling. We were just coming over those hills up above this very village when orcs attacked us. We fought back, and I left with hardly a scratch yet my friend's arm here seems to be wounded badly. Is there anything you could do, please sir?" She looked intently up at the old man as she supported Rode's weight. The man nodded sincerely and sighed. "Yes," he said, "Battle can be a risky deal. I wonder, what mission could have you fighting off orcs? No matter. It is not of my business. I'm sorry, my young elves. If that is, elves is what you are, I presume? Of Hillanya I believe? Yes, I thought so. It's your eyes, you see. Very distinct blue eyes-" As Irinya giggled the man noticed he was getting off track. "Oh! Yes...Truly sorry I am indeed. Come along, then! Come along. I can get your friend mended." With that, Irinya and Rode followed the old man behind the curtain.:: -

#152Luke blushed a little having slipped up making his asian skin glow a darker tan. "Its not really thought reading just sometimes some of her really really powerful emotions can effect me, its always been a real mystery at first I guess i declined to mention it. You know me being unexplainbly link to Yuna really wouldn't work for our effectiveness as crusaders for lack of a better term against this new threat. All I know is there's a part of my life that I dont remember at all. The village elders said I just showed up one day a battered young man that was struck dumb with amnesia I owe them my life that is why I am adament about protecting them. My link is a curse and a blessing because I never know when I am truly alone but sometimes I can use it to help the village avoid trouble, before I've only felt emotions which helped me prepare for times when she was particuly vindictive. I never remember being able to read thoughts much less be possesed like that, I am sorry that must have been very disturbing. I am very troubled myself."
Luke had a dark look in his eyes, "I haven't told you before but my abilities aren't spawned from simply saying a magic spell or a crystal gazing, my powers are abilities that born to me, it is a rather rare quality but it not unheard of." Luke looked a medium sized rock on the groud and waved with his hand it levitated a little and spun off into the woods with no more than a glance.
"As you can see it is not exactly normal magic I have other abilities too. The few times Yuna visited my village she too deomnstrated these abilities too." Luke revealed his shoulder showing a nasty jagged scar that covered his shoulder and continued down the robe across his chest. Luke did up the front of his robe. "That was for the first time I stood up to her. Morgandy she has grone terribly powerful but not unstoppable I believe all of us together can defeat her. It wont' be easy but we can do it." -
Tavern Party
#153::All through his speech Morgandy was speechless. She gazed in wonder at his ability to levitate objects. She would have never guessed Luke to know the arts of magic! She also felt sorry for him; he didn't even know where he was from, and had gone through a great ordeal. Morgandy realized though, that he still hadn't really told her what had just happened, and Morgandy assumed it was probably because of either two things: Luke himself didn't know what happened, or he really did not want to tell her. She resolved that this was his choice and not her responsibility so she didn't fret over it. "I am sorry that you do not know where you came from. I can't imagine. I am also sorry for all that Yuna has put you through. I feel it is my fault." Morgandy sighed as she said this. She extended a hand to pull him up. "Well, now," she said, looking at everyone. "We really had better be getting poor Svyel inside the palace." Soon after she said this, a stable boy and two servants came to take Augustine and help unconcious Svyel off the horse.:: -

#154"It aint your fault its that souless bitche's fault for being born." Luke spat on the ground, "Don't worry about carrying syvell." Luke motioned with his hand and syvel rose up to Morgandy's waist. Luke started walking up front and syvel body and things floated behind him, "Well come on ye lets not spend all night here." -
Tavern Party
#155OOC: Sorry Luke but I will be taking out that cuss word when I edit it for my book. I'll use a word more modest.
::Morgandy nodded at this but felt in her heart that perhaps Luke shouldn't say this if Yuna was keeping such close watch on them. She and Feanin were again surprised by Luke's ability to levitate Svyel. They regained their senses, shrugged at each other, and followed Luke inside the palace doors.
Meanwhile...
"Ouch!" Rode protested. The man in robes of green was dabbing a wet cloth on his wound that was doused in some healing concoction that stung like the blazes. "Careful!" Rode warned, his arm jerking. The man sighed and Irinya squeezed Rode's hand, trying to comfort him. "Rode," said she, "You must be patient!" Soon though, Rode's arm was treated and bandaged. "Yes," said the old man. "The healing process is always difficult and painful. Yet, in due time, your arm, my brave young fellow, will be as good as new!" Rode managed a smile at this and hopped down off the stretcher bed he was sitting on. "We thank you, sir, for your kind services!" Irinya said this with a warm smile. "Just one more thing, sir. Where might we find some rest in this village? For it is late and as I'm sure you know my friend and I are very tired and hungry." The old man put his finger to his head and said, "Why, I will generously offer my own home to you for the night or however long you need to stay! I also have some stew still on the fire, if you would like." Both Irinya and Rode beamed at this and gratefully accepted.:: -

#157::Morgandy obliged and led the way. Soon, a servant strode up to her, recognizing Morgandy. It was Morgandy's maidservant from her one night stay at the palace. The young girl beamed at Morgandy. "What brings ye back, miss? We thought you were gone and off on some inmportant journey." The girl gasped as she saw Svyel in his state. "Oh dear!" She exclaimed. "Yes," said Morgandy. "I was off on an important journey. However, we had to come back this way and as you can see the Druid, Svyel, is in a bad state. We had to come here for healing and rest. Do you think His Majesty would be so kind?" The maid thought for a moment and said, "I'll see what I can do. Wait here, please." The four waited with on the borderline of patience and impateience. They tried to be polite, but they knew Svyel needed assistance very soon. Not long later, another servant came and escorted the travelers toward the King's Hall, saying, "Right this way, please." They went at a brisk pace and when they entered the hall the King was seated on his throne in thought. He recognized Morgandy immediately and his palace Druid, Svyel. Morgandy curtsied politely and the others did this as well.:: -

#158OOC: Hello!!! I'm back from holiday! I missed you guys. Merry christmas (even though it was yesterday.) But yeah. I'm back. I still won't be able to reply daily like I did during school because that is where I posted from. (My mom gets nervous when I go on the net because the phone bill Sky rockets)
Otiluke moved swiftly about the city returning to his usual watching post for travellers to ask for the vampire cure. He longed to be a human again. As he sat he began to feel the thirst returning and he was going to need to feed. But on what. He did not like taking a humans life for something as trivial as vamparism. He began darting through the city and along the rooftops in search of something to help.
Svyel's amulet glowed and hummed lowdly within the palace and the little white fox could hardly sit still. It ran up and down the inside of the throne room. The king had known the animal for some time but he was nonplussed by the creature. -

#159OOC: Hello Svyel! Welcome back and Merry Christmas to you too! I had a great holiday and hope you did as well.
::Feanin fidgeted under the king's stare. He himself had never really properly met the king, and he regretted to remember that he was not a very welcome guest, either, when he first came to the palace. Morgandy, however, looked straight up into the king's eyes; unflinching. Feanin realized this new determination and willfulness in Morgandy. In Bonnyvale she had always been very timid, quiet, and unconfrontational. "Sir," said she, in steady tones, "we wish again for shelter and care. We have traveled far on our journey, but had to come back here. As you can see, your Druid is in a bad state. He has been unconcious for nearly the entire day, and needs assistance. We all also are in bad health and need to regain our strength. Would you be so kind, Your Majesty?" Morgandy did not forget to curtsey again when she had finished speaking, and again looked intently up into the king's face. The king did not seem pleased by this. In fact he hardly seemed happy at all. "Tell me, Fae, if you are so wise, why did my son leave me?" Morgandy was very startled indeed by this odd and sudden question, but answered it: "Your Majesty...your son...er...he was apointed with a very important mission....he had to leave...for the good of his people and all the world. Do you not know sir? I-"
"I know of your foul curse!" The king spouted. Morgandy finally flinched at this, and drew her eyes away.
"I know what my son has in his keep and what he is to do with it!" The king continued, "My son did not have to do this. My son did not have to destroy the crystal-"
"Who else then could have done it?!" Morgandy interrupted. Her eyes were wide with fury and her nostrils flared. "Who would you have do this task? It is true that maybe your son was not the best choice for this task. However, we had not the time to discuss such matters fully. Yuna is gaining power through innocent people! She is gathering minions to do her evil deeds! She wants the crystal...Do you know what will come when she has it? Destruction, devastation, turmoil...you name it. Our world as we know it will soon be under Yuna's control. Do you want that? I'm sorry your son had to go sir, but someone had to. Lives will be sacrificed, Your Majesty. That cannot be helped. But what would you rather have: A few lives taken and a result of glory and freedom, or many lives taken, your son perhaps alive, and Yuna in complete control?" Morgandy almost seemed to steam at the end of her speech. Feanin simply stared at her. He couldn't believe she had this much passion! The king glared down with utmost distaste and said in final tones, "It would not have to be that way. Hillanya has enough mighty wizards and druids to weild that crystal and you know it. Hillanya could use that crystal to fight against Yuna's forces. We could win."
With that, the king turned his back on them and stormed through a side door. The four travelers were left in the hall. Morgandy lowered her head as Feanin put his hand on her shoulder. She looked at him with an expression of fear and sorrow and said, "This is it....the prophecy has begun its course...the war has started." Feain looked at her with confusion and worry, but Morgandy looked away. She could not be comforted.::
OOC: Yes, I am using a bit of Lord of the Rings influence. You see, the crystal is like the ring in that people see it as theirs, and that they could weild it for their own purposes. It plays with people's minds. Here, you see it first weaving its power over the king, who believes Hillanya can weild it. The war Morgandy is talking about is not necessarily a battle, but a struggle between good and evil: those who wish to destroy the crystal, and those who see it for their own purposes. The prophecy is that that was told many years ago, by the seer Rhytha:
"The gem of corruption shall be found,
and in the darkest hour bound,
to whom would destroy it for its evil.
The dark one weaves a shroud,
over innocent child and crowd,
and the two sides would part,
and the Great War would start."
gem of corruption...found: The crystal...discovered by Rode.
darkest hour bound, to whom
would destroy it for its evil: when Rode and Irinya were given the task of
destroying the crystal.
dark one weaves a shroud over every innocent child and crowd: Yuna puts spells over innocent people and makes them her minions.
two sides would part: the side who is pro-crystal and the side that is anti-crystal will go their seperate ways
great war would start: the struggle between the two sides.
Sorry for such a long post! -
Tavern Party
#160Otiluke jumped around searching desperatly for something to quench his thirst but not at the price of someones life. He went to a well and drank deeply from the waters, but to no avail. He needed something. At the gate he hoped for the cure to stumble in soon. A pair of tall amazonian looking women strolled into the town in the late of night. Bounding down and trying to control himself he made it to the women. They immediatly pulled out weapons that glimmered in the moon light.
"Leave us vampire and there won't be any trouble." The one spat.
"Please, I need..." ~Blood~ his mind wanted him to say. "I need the cure. Vampire cure."
The women looked at each other oddly. "A rumor says that the druid who knows it live here."
This did not help Otiluke very much. He began leaping around the town searching for tell tale signs of druidsm. Often bizarre plant and animal activity was the first sign.
The small fox bounded up and down the hall yipping every now and then. It had hoped that all this comotion would wake Svyel and he could notice the glowing amulet, but still nothing from him. The fox sat on his chest and began whining. Svyel just lay there.
