Tavern Party
#441OOC: Sounds to me like you guys are trying too hard. i mean, why do you need a secret passage into a battle anyways. secret passages are designed for enclosed spaces like castles and dongeons, not out in the open ones such as large battles. as for spicing up your characters, iyou should just make your character an interesting one, maybe some quirks or some things that are a bit out of the ordinary. the history will write itself if your character is interesting enough. too late for that i suppose.[ oh, and if you want to keep things interesting, try adding some normal dangers as well. a pack of wolves, or maybe some trained dogs. if you go over the top all the time, then you have no place to progress to. not everything has to be giant trolls or evil creatures. just keep in mind that just because something is dynamic does not mean that it cannot be simple. anyway, just trying to help.
-Nobody
OOC: Gee, thanks Nobody. Fitting name, by the way, since your comments mean nothing to me. Why not try and start your own topic instead of going to ones where you've probably hardly read anything about and criticize them anyway. Jeez, you're stupid. Take your comments elsewhere. They're not needed here. :x -
Tavern Party
#442OOC: Thanks for the tips but I can't quite disagree with Luke, Nobody.
Norgandy, What do you think, Should we jump to a realm of air and encounter genies and such? Could add an interesting new atmosphere.
OOC: I'm not too sure I understand what you're trying to get at so please explain what this "realm" is. And yes, this is sounding a lot like LOTR, I mentioned that already. Oh well, no big deal to me. -
Tavern Party
#443OOC: The alternate realm is another dimension that we could get taken to. Maybe a place with chunks of land that float around in a forever sunset orange sky with no ground below and gravity is subjective (So you pick which way is down for you) And it could be the land of the Genies, Jannis and Efreetis. (Bizarre arabian spirits) Yuna could have sent us their in order to thwart our plans to stop her but instead we find that her evil is effecting there too so we still have access to her.
I'm sorry, I suffer from an over active imagination. Sometimes my body can't keep up and I just fall over. *Morphs into a ferret* -
Tavern Party
#444OOC: That sounds fine, Svyel. I had just never really imagined an "air realm" like that so it was hard for me to picture. When you say genies, do you mean like a genie in Disney's 'Aladdin'? -
Tavern Party
#445OOC: Pretty much like the disney genie except not as nuts and they're not blue. They are "humans" that are about 7 feet tall, often have beards and wear arabian style clothing and they carry scimitars. Rather interesting and I need to bring that forest demon lady back into the story because there is more than you think. -
Tavern Party
#446OOC: Ok, that's actually pretty much what I thought they'd be like. But, what's a scimitar?
6 PM of Day 3
::Morgandy, Feanin, and Black Rose reached the edge of Wenden in the evening. There was a grove of trees nearby in which they set up camp for the night. They built a fire, but kept it hidden in case of enemy eyes. Morgandy was very wary of their being in Wenden, for it was Yuna's old land and she may have some connection still to it. So, they also decided to have a rotation of watches during the night. They ate sparingly; a meal of cold meat and stale bread. The three of them talked a little about what roads they should take. They decided to take a small, little known road through the grove on the edge of Wenden; this would keep them out of plain sight in the plains of Wenden and also was a shortcut to the mountains. They also decided that when they got to the Dwarf city, which was called Venhelm, that they should try to speak with the Dwarf ruler, Goldbeard, and try to convince him to help the Fae and Elf struggle. They all agreed that this would be difficult, for Dwarves were stubborn, solitary, independent, and often malicious people. Goldbeard would be a difficult one to persuade, but hopefully they could do it. They decided to worry about this all in the morning, and get a good sleep for the night. Morgandy was on first watch, which was well enough for her since she had so much on her mind that she probably couldn't sleep anyway. She was worried about her mission to the Dwarves. She felt like she was the wrong person for it. Morgandy had never been a very persuading person, nor was she very open to new people. She would try her best though. Morgandy also feared for their lives; if Yuna knew anything she would have sent scouts all over, searching for the crystal and anyone who was against it. All through her watch Morgandy had the terrible, bone-chilling feeling that they were being watched, and three hours later when her watch was up, it was not with reluctance that she gave her position over to Feanin and slept.:: -
Tavern Party
#447OOC: ok im know i haven't been here for awhile but i read every thing about the "realm" idea and the "genie"idea and they sound good to me. im still having writer block.sorry. but maybe next time i come i will try to write something. -
Tavern Party
#448OOC: A scimitar is one of those large curved swords that you are most likely to see in arabia and those type of settings. Slices things up quite nicely.
Svyel and Otiluke just followed and did various stuff that was irrelevant to the story. (OOC: Sorry. No creative juices again) -
Tavern Party
#449OOC: Ok, sounds good. Ya, having writer's block too. -
Tavern Party
#450OOC: MAybe we could have the big battle first then once we corner Yuna she escapes through some dimensional portal? And we just make it to follow her? -
Tavern Party
#451OCC: thats sounds good luke.writers block again.when will it end!!!!!! -
Tavern Party
#452OOC: Slow down! You guys are making this way too complicated and confusing! I hardly know what's going on anymore! It's great that you guys have ideas, but just slow down because too many ideas at once can lead to confusion. Thanks! -
Tavern Party
#453OOC: I was just trying to be helpful I mean syvell are you ok? This is pretty random and later since were getting close to the end and last climax. Syvell are you serious about this? I mean this is random and no offense Morgandy's book. I don't know but I think we should stick with the oringinal plan of the big battle plan and the series of duels or individual battles. IE: Morgadny vs Yuna, Luke vs The Beast, Syvell earlier I was talking about a vamperic lord that could be her general you could fight him/her. Enough of this writers block stuff if you can't think of anything don't clog up the thread with one or two word posts. -
Tavern Party
#454OOC: Yeah I'm fine. I've just got time on some occasions now to post at school. Gr 11 is chaotic. We could go with a battle Yuna and dem beasties. Svyel would need to battle the forest demon thing. You'll find happy secret later. But I quite like the idea of Yuna trying to escape and us following.
Sorry if this is a bit fast Morgandy, I just have lots on my mind. -
Tavern Party
#455OOC: Ok, I'm not so sure now if I like the air realm idea. Its kinda random and a little off our topic. Sorry, but it might just seem kinda weird. I also think we should share our ideas at a minimum, because it just gets confusing and we might just keep thinking up ideas and not acting them out. Sorry Luke about the writer's block thing, and no offense, but haven't you posted that before too? I just come here everyday and feel like I have to post something so it dosen't seem like I never come here. Oh, and that's ok Svyel. -
Tavern Party
#456OOC: EEIIIIHHHH!!!! Where is everyone??? -
Tavern Party
#457OOC: Sorry, I went to the beach this weekend and then I was waiting for one of you to reply. -
Tavern Party
#458OOC: But mine adventure is done, it's you and Blackrose that are out and recruiting remember so were waiting on you. -
Tavern Party
#459OOC: Um....ok? Didn't know that. I know you talked about this already but, I have writer's block anyway. Can't think of anything to write yet. Sorry if I made you mad about "spamming", I'm just telling you why I'm not posting yet. -
Tavern Party
#460OOC: Greetings. I know I haven't posted in a while and that is because I have been SWAMPED with school work recently. Any way. I am a bit confused as to where we are in the story now. I've tried reading back but I'm not too sure what's going on. Just for now, Svyel has been following everone while riding his tiger and Otiluke was also just following. -
Tavern Party
#461OOC: Right now Morgandy, Black Rose, and Feanin are on their way to see the Dwarves and negotiate with them about joining the Fae and Elf forces. -
Tavern Party
#462OOC: ok i have an idea so it my help ppl. get out of writer's block.
The sun was bright in the morning when Black Rose woke up. She saw that her companions were still fast asleep. She go up very quitely not to wake her companions in their peaceful slumber.
Black Rose went to a near by steam of water. It was so clear and clean. She brought the water to her lips it was so refreshing. She saw something arcoss the way of the stream. it was a unicorn. It was so beautiful. Its fur was the whitess like fallen snow, and its mane had streaks of blue and purple and pink.
She left every quitely not to frighten the unicorn. She return to were here companions were still fast asleep. -
Tavern Party
#463OOC: I've been VERY busy. sorry.
Svyel snapped awake. He felt a presnce of good and a presence of evil. This was a bit weird because his forestry senses could detect no fight. Whenever good and evil were in the same place there was a fight. Well... usually. Svyel awoke and went off to find the good and breakfast.
Otiluke didn't sleep. He was a creature of the night and he could never sleep in the night. During day he was forced to be awake the past few days and was able to survive the sunlight by wearing an ankh of anti-light. (Just realised this now) He was forever veiled in a light shade of black. He missed his tomb. -
Tavern Party
#464OOC: Me too. I've actually been thinking of leaving soon, the story is slowing down and dosen't seem like it's going to be going for much longer. If we all stopped now, I would pick up our story where we left it off for my book. -
Tavern Party
#465OOC: Not to sound rude or anyfing but yeah I think that would be best. I'm finding it a bit hard to remember which Svyel is which cos I'm DMing a DnD game at the moment and Svyel is there as well as Otiluke. -
Tavern Party
#466OOC: Ya, I see how that could be confusing, also I haven't had much time and I'm running low on ideas for posting. I'm at school right now, we're having finals. I'm in the computer lab and we had to type up two essays for English, and I'm done but I still have like 30 minutes left! There's not much to do. Anybody else having finals right now? I know Black Rose is because she goes to my school. :) -
Tavern Party
#467OOC: I'm not righting finals until december. Here in South Africa everything is a bit different. I'll be righting exams on the 15 July though. -
Tavern Party
#468OOC: Well I got exams tomorrow. :x I've studied my ass off the last five days, sorry about the bad ending... Later. -
Tavern Party
#469OOC: Oh Luke, what do you think? Do you still want to continue this or do you think this is an ok place to stop? -
Tavern Party
#470OOC: Ok, since no one has replied for weeks, I'm guessing no one will be. I'll tell everyone now that I won't be posting on our topic anymore, since it is obviously pretty much done, and that I will begin working on editing and transforming our story into a book! :) When it gets published I will give credit to all of you, and be sure to look for the title 'Quest of the Crystal' or something like it. Goodbye and I've really enjoyed roleplaying with you guys! :)
.:The Forest Fae:. :pixie: -
Tavern Party
#471Thanx for running a great game. yeah this is as good a place as any to stop off. Oh... I doubt that you will read this but if you do, the history behind the demon of the woods is that she is actually the spirit of the land. Svyel's land. that is where he got his mana from and Yuna possesed the spirit of the land. That is why Svyel lost his mana.
Till we speak again, if we speak again, C-Ya
