Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#641Apparently, being a priest isn’t the only thing sure to get you killed in Muro’s game…
Memo to self (and Talia!): Don't let women ride horses in Muro's game...
>>>>
The lightning had spooked the mount, and it had obviously thrown Tyssel as it reared. Unfortunately it sent her plummeting against a stone railing, leading up to Triguian chapel, and she had cracked her skull, blood spilling down the stone in the strengthening rain.
>>>>
And then...
>>>>
She had landed upon a sharp outcrop of rock, as she hurtled downward, and nature’s spear had punctured her heart, entering through her back, and emerging from her chest in one split second. The unknown rider was dead.
>>>>
If Talia has to ride anywhere, we'll need to strap mattresses to her as protection, over a suit of full plate. -
Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#642...Ouch. -
Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#643Fellow BitD-ians, I'm terribly sorry. My absence from the site was very much unanticipated. Our house flooded a few nights ago, and we just today got our internet working again. Muro, Siren, expect a post within a few hours. -
Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#644Will anything be going on any soon? -
Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#645umm, yes!
if anyone is annoyed at me for being a lax GM, please dont be. My life has been crazy hectic. I will pick it up this week starting tomorrow.
If anyone is beyond annoyed ( :P), I can only say that I love this game, but havent been able to give it the full attention it deserves, and I apologize for slowing it down.
-
Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#646Huzzah for the GM! :D
Muro's run a great game thus far and I'm sure he's got plenty packed for us in the coming days. I'm sure I speak for all of us when I say AuR is a quality enough RP to make sit patiently and await in anxious excitement for the next installment.
Keep up the good work, Muro! -
Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#647Bless you, Brother Dozus. Your turn in the Reliquary of Rambunctious Rapture is now assured. -
Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#648Reckonings crew! We have reached the end of the Ganse section, looks like. I know that Talia and Aerex are going to head for Jantir ultimately (aside: I see no reason to not take the kid who wants to come with), and Kyrian is heading to the town to the south, and I assume Voro doesn't have anywhere in particular he wants to go. So do we want to split up, go our separate ways, or do we want to all go south, where the Jantir crew can get a boat? Keeping in mind there are bandits and evil cultists to the south. I'm good either way, myself.
-
Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#649Let's see....
We could each go in a different direction, thus forcing poor Muro to devise several different encounters (... until our well-deserved and solitary demises) or we could all head off to Jantir on a slow boat.
I, for one, am absoulutely appalled that we had a battle without party members' remains littering the floor. It just doesn't seem like a Muro encounter if it doesn't have multiple fatalities (or near fatalities). I guess that, since we didn't have a cleric, we didn't need to have anyone die (Clerics are clearly like "red shirts" in Star Trek: They exist only to illustrate how deadly the monsters/traps are.)
Of course, if a healer is needed, Voro could always take a level of cleric: "... and now, before the sermon from Reverend Vorodon, please turn to page 43 in your hymnals and we'll sing 'All Things Bright and Edible'". -
Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#650Thats freaking hilarious! -
Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#651that is! :D -
Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#652Ha!
I vote we all go south. If we need to split up, I'd rather we did so over seas than land. -
Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#653South it is, then!
All things considered, it's for the best; we have experience with bandits, and surely we could take an evil cult. *grin*
Also, does anyone have a problem if I jump the story four days to the Blue Moon? (I assume that it would take us longer than four days to get to where we're going.) There's no really urgent reason, and if anyone has things to do before then, I can happily wait. -
Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#654Well, depends on the terrain - if you travel along a road, you can make some 40 miles a day on foot, if I am correct. So, unless we get jumped by swarms of XP, we might make it just as the Blue Moon rises over Ssembra's lagoon, and illuminates every one goon. So, soon, be it calm or freak monsoon, Kyrian will cut them up, be it with sword or with spoon!
Heh.
South it be. But don't hassle. -
Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#655Does he even OWN a spoon?
If he kills someone with a spoon, I will be VERY impressed. -
Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#656lagoon, spoon, monsoon, goon...hmmm :P -
Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#657No, there is already an Iron Spike of the Storm, there will not be a Spoon of Monsoons. I swear it.
That said, I'm huffing and puffing, but I can't get a wind blowing. :( -
Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#658It's more of a ladle, actually. -
Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#659WOO! -
Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#660Hmmm? -
Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#661So, once StrolenCon does be over, think we can get these games a-rollin' again? -
Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#662methinks yes. -
Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#663Soon!
(Hunches over and rubs hands together...) -
Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#664Just a note: I will be gone until July 20ish. If this causes any delay, feel free to take Aerex whither thou wilst. :D -
Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#665Well. I might be netless for some time, thus my posting erratic. -
Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#666Just for the record, there has been a GM post up for a while now :P
Oh, and I can play again! woot!
maybe we can all "chat it out" this weekend, and decide where The Fates will next take our heroes -
Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#667I'm to be gone from the 8th until the 14th -
Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#668As for me, the 9th through the 13th is unavailable. I'll be at camp again. -
Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#669Summer gaming is riddled with problems and absences. Me, I will be netless from tomorrow on. Which sucketh. -
Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#670I'm back from camp. I'll also have 'net at KU, so gaming is available again on a semi-permanent basis. -
Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#671Back! :D And ready to go. -
Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#672Blarg.
My only net access is at the hospital, meaning a few minutes a day.
Truly feculent.
Blarg. -

Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#675Mr Keykold, several hours into his cups, and into the overflowing *ahem* cups of the closest waitress looks up bleary eyed and besotted....
No foolin? -
Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#676:what: Does this mean that the RP will commence? -
Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#677Awesome! Kadarin for World Conquest! -
Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#678Vorodon paused to examine the glittering points of his darts' cruel steel tips. The hill-forged metal gleamed, bright and even, but he was still unsatisfied with their edge. Patiently, the Volgottir continued stropping the razor-sharp weapons.
When the time came, he would be ready. -
Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#679SCORE!
*Ria does happy dance* -
Re: OOC: Back in the Day...
#680warming up
[Siren no Orakio] 11:13 pm: Wait, what RP?
[Siren no Orakio] 11:13 pm: ... Not...
11:13 pm: that one
[Siren no Orakio] 11:13 pm: THAT RP?
11:13 pm: the one long forgotten
11:13 pm: Rancis has acquired hemmaroids rom sitting on that hole so long
11:13 pm: from not rom
11:13 pm: in not on
Ria Hawk squees with happy
[Siren no Orakio] 11:14 pm: LOL
[Siren no Orakio] 11:14 pm: And of course I'm still interested
11:15 pm: oh, and you're two-man thing will continue as before, but eventually you will run into Ria
and Dozus, and Wulf, and...
[Ria Hawk] 11:15 pm: ^^
11:16 pm: once Rancis is properly "chided" (or smitten) you will proceed to the great big
city...where teh symposium is being held, attended by thousands of monks, priests, philosophers, and holy
folk...
[Siren no Orakio] 11:17 pm: Indeed.
11:17 pm: And I get to have a theological heyday.
11:17 pm: Fwee!
[Ria Hawk] 11:17 pm: and assorted mercenaries and screwballs
[Siren no Orakio] 11:17 pm: As I recall
[Siren no Orakio] 11:17 pm: my plan was to cut Rancis's tongue out and burn his holy symbol.
11:18 pm: yes, in my vision, CM, you strode to the podium, and debated agianst another priest..
[Ria Hawk] 11:18 pm: oh, excellent. Is Ranci the nasty druid I heard about then?
[Siren no Orakio] 11:18 pm: The tools of blasphemy have to be destroyed, you see, but Trigu is merciful, and
there is no need for him to die
11:18 pm: Hehe.
11:18 pm: Fuuuuun.
11:18 pm: ouch....Siren doesnt want to play nice with Rancis
11:19 pm: Might catch some flak from Tristan for that one.
[Siren no Orakio] 11:19 pm: I'm a fallen paladin, expediency is the watchword right now.
[Siren no Orakio] 11:19 pm: It's better than burning him at the stake
11:19 pm: I don't know, Sama would be willing to accept Siren any day of the week, I'd think
11:19 pm: yeah! Tristan dont play that! villains have to be "spolen to" then sent on their way, given
another chance
[Ria Hawk] 11:19 pm: hehe
11:20 pm: spoken not spolen
11:20 pm: then he wouldn't be fallen no more, right?
11:20 pm: Sama is cruel....old....and....harsh (i like him)
[Siren no Orakio] 11:20 pm: There are two portions to the state of being fallen
[Siren no Orakio] 11:20 pm: Part A, and the lesser of two problems, is the pissed off God
[The Citadel]: Chaosmark has left at 11:21 pm
[Siren no Orakio] 11:21 pm: Part B, and the greater of two problems, is the guilt complex from hell
11:21 pm: you'll just keep "falling" and your ska will just get bigger, if you keep ripping peoles
tongues out of their heads...
[Ria Hawk] 11:21 pm: he got gremiled
11:21 pm: hahah re: Siren ^
11:21 pm: BRB...need a beer
[Ria Hawk] 11:22 pm: kay
[The Citadel]: Chaosmark has entered at 11:23 pm
11:23 pm: *growl*
11:23 pm: Eh, I'd prefer to haul him before the collected assembly of the symposium and publicly
humiliate him. Or some such thing.
11:23 pm: wb
[Ria Hawk] 11:23 pm: hehe
[Siren no Orakio] 11:23 pm: That works.
[Siren no Orakio] 11:24 pm: I just want to make sure the solution is... permanent
11:24 pm: Keeps the torture and mess to a minimum, while still making an example of him, as
well as providing punishment.
[Siren no Orakio] 11:24 pm: AKA, I don't want him ever casting another divine spell in his life
[Ria Hawk] 11:25 pm: wow
11:25 pm: Aka, I want to prove him to be a charlatan in front of thousands of clergy and religions.
[Ria Hawk] 11:25 pm: I'd just kill him, myself
11:25 pm: If that doesn't kick his arse, perhaps the 'real' priests of The Root-lord will go after him.
11:25 pm: Assuming it wasn't just a made-up religion.
[Siren no Orakio] 11:25 pm: *giggle*
[Siren no Orakio] 11:25 pm: Now, I like that thought. it appeals to me.
11:26 pm: Eh, let them police their own.
[Siren no Orakio] 11:26 pm: But, then we have to haul a hostile magician over dozens of leagues.
11:26 pm: yep
[Ria Hawk] 11:26 pm: heh
[Ria Hawk] 11:26 pm: See previous statement
11:27 pm: break his fingers and shatter his teeth
11:27 pm: Eh, we could gag him and tied him up at night.
11:27 pm: *tie
11:27 pm: he'll never be able to cast in the same capacity again
11:27 pm: wow....what a cruel bunch of heroes
11:27 pm: Then threaten him with severe retribution if he tries /anything/.
11:27 pm:
11:27 pm: I know.
11:27 pm: IF he could ever learn how to make his fingers move the right ways, and his mouth to form
the right sounds
11:28 pm: I'm wondering wtf is going on with the party.
[Siren no Orakio] 11:28 pm: We can bind and gag him for the whole trip, while we're at it
11:28 pm: what ever happend to..mercy, charity, and brotherhood
11:28 pm: he's a fellow priest!
11:28 pm: 'cept his feet, which we'll bind at night.
11:28 pm: #$%^&* I'm a necromancer
11:28 pm: they all hate me...
11:28 pm: he just picked the wrong time and place to get his groove on!
[Ria Hawk] 11:28 pm: wow... I think the irritable chaotic neutral gypsy is the least cruel, she'd just cut his throat
and be done with it
[Siren no Orakio] 11:28 pm: I have a horse. He doesn't need feet.
11:28 pm: AH!
[Siren no Orakio] 11:28 pm: I /offered/ to burn him at the stake.
11:29 pm:
11:29 pm: In that case, we'll bind him, blindfold him, and tie him to the horse.
[Ria Hawk] 11:29 pm: Talia doesn't hate you
11:29 pm: i may have to copy/paste this into OOC
