minstrels? The music played by minstrles makes me wanna gag. Thats the only thing I really don't like about medieval times.
  2. Jaxon Action

Well then we'll get the menstrals of the band ZWAN they are great! :D
  3. Jaxon Action

    #3
    ZWAN?

Actually, sniperspy, what you shouldn't like about the Middle Ages should include:
    The Black Plague
    Bandits and Robbers
    Sickness
    The way they treat sickness
Being killed by a knight for not showing respect
    Unresponsive monarchs
    Filthy, filthy, filthy, smelly people
    Sickness
    Sickness
    Did I mention sickness?
And, like you said, the music.
  5. hey!

Let's not forget the sewage and waste problems. Without sewage pipes and the convenience of garbage trucks, things got quite messy.

Then there are the fleas, and ticks and lice.

Oh yeah! There also was rats that carried the fleas that brought the plague and bit and infected unsuspecting people.

Also there was no A/C, nor insulation (brrrr).

Na, Despite its "flaws" I would love to live in medieval times. I am just fascinated with that period!

I don't think you understand, sniperspy.
I don't think you understand at all.
  8. Jaxon Action

    #8
I understand. But the challenge of fighting the plague and diseases and other knights just seems incredibally attractive to me. I don't know why, but thats what I think!

I still think that you don't understand.

On another subject, I understand that climbing Mt.Everest used to be some sort of challenge, yeah? So why are 40 year old bankers from New Jersey doing it?
  10. Jaxon Action

    #10
What? There are BANKERS climbing Mt. Everest? That seems a little dangerous. Not much climbing work at a bank.
  11. Jaxon Action

    #11
are you kidding, there whoe job is clawing their way over the backs of co-workers to better opportunities!

Back to the point of what I said: Adventure travel must be stopped at all costs!
  13. Jaxon Action

    #13
Why? I see no prblem with it!
  14. Jaxon Action

    #14
Nor do I unless it is extremely dangerous. Like climbing a mountian few have succeded in climbing.

It's just a more subtle form of imperialism. We go in and we pay and pay and pay to visit the holiest sites of these people's cultures and dominate them! We pay out the ass to visit the icy, wind-slashed, godforsake top of a mountain! We hemmoraghe money so that we can dive into the jungle and introduce pygmys to paper cups. It's ridiculous.

It's no wonder that aliens from space have not contacted us in the worlds present status. If they did, bored rich people would build space shipps and invade their homeland and give them twinkies and nukes.

    intelligent life indeed.
  17. Jaxon Action

    #17
That is the way I feel, too. But it seems that all of the people visited by 'Aliens' were not too bright. Like they were Rednecks. But I guess we (the rednecks) are the only people who believe that they truley exist.
  18. Jaxon Action

    #18
Well, I believe that there is intelligent life outside of this planet, I just think they have not advanced far enough for interstellar travel either!
  19. Jaxon Action

    #19
There are extraterrestrial, intelligent beings out there, as well as nonintelligent beings, and lifeforms more bizarre than we can imagine. Give the incomprehendable size of the Universe, there must be at least some extraterrestrials.
  20. Jaxon Action

    #20
The problem with the arguements for/against the belief of extaterrestreal life is that neither side has any proof. Every arguement made to substantiate there is is purely hypothetical, and to say there is none is guess-work, because we have not been everywhere in the universe.

remind me to come back later because my brain isn't connecting the words to form sentances (what you said) and to complete a thought.
  22. Jaxon Action

    #22
Yes, Strom is correct, but I still believe that there is something out there...
  23. Jaxon Action

    #23
same here, it is all a persons opinion, and mine sais there is!
  24. Jaxon Action

    #24
Okay! I just got it! yeah, I don't know if I am for or against it. It depends on the day.
  25. Jaxon Action

    #25
so you think that life comes and goes incredibally fast on other planets??
  26. Jaxon Action

    #26
I'm not talking about 'on other planets' I am talking about my belief of something more out there. Or if there is more than our solarsystem, Yes, I know that they have proven that there is but couldn't there be like a mirror or something. And (dragging religion in) maybe we are just a little snowglobe sitting on God's (godess', Allah, ect.) desk in his livingroom?

I don't know if you guy's go to church or what you believe, so don't peg me as some person who is shoving religion on you. I don't go to curch so that would be hypocritical. Plus, If you don't believe in a higher being, I don't care. Honestly, so don't hate me for talking about this.

If there are some sort of divine beings, they are probably unfathomable to human beings.
  28. Jaxon Action

    #28
    ain't that the truth!
  29. Jaxon Action

    #29
Kinda makes you wonder if these 'divine' beings are actually other lifeforms.

As to the question of other lifeforms, I believe that they maybe out there. I'm not going to hold my breath over it but I believe that they might exist.
  30. Jaxon Action

    #30
Depends, during the day I may say, "No way!" but then that same night, I look up in the sky and see all of those stars and wonder if there is a planet, or a solar system mirroring our own. Or we may be mirroring theirs.

It's like this South Park episode I saw. The aliens created us as a form of entertainment. They watch us as a reality tv show.

    *Crosses her fingers*
If I do not update in three days send a search party to outerspace.

    I remember that one.

"We took 40 species from 40 planets and put them on ONE planet!"
  32. Jaxon Action

    #32
I believe that there's life in the universe, just not anywhere in hte solar system except earth.
  33. Jaxon Action

    #33
Yeah, there's probably not any other life in the Sol Solar System.
  34. Jaxon Action

    #34
we never know though. Suppose there is a very simple species capable of survivng the extreme colds of Uranus?
  35. Jaxon Action

    #35
Or a new planet not discovered, that has little microbes and stuff
  36. Jaxon Action

    #36
Actually, there may be life in our Solar System, like, microbes or something, and perhaps more advanced on Europa, one of Jupiter's moons.
  37. Jaxon Action

    #37
I heard that. My brother also told me that he read that there was a new planet. If I found a new planet I would name it ZORG. Just because
  38. Jaxon Action

    #38
I would name it Yuugoth, after the Lovecraftian death-planet which spawned the Mi-Go!
  39. Jaxon Action

    #39
I'd probably name it...(shakes head)...I can't think of anything! I guess Zorg it is!
  40. Jaxon Action

    #40
    Yay!
