#810UGGGGG. Spring Break, Spring Break. Penguin can't wait 'till Spring Break -
The Call of Captain-thulhu
#811Id hate to say it penguin, but this thread is pretty much dead. You might want to post your thoughts in a more recent thread, this one hasn't been used since... well, last we met. -
The Call of Captain-thulhu
#812Nobody cares where you post. It doesn't matter. -
The Call of Captain-thulhu
#813Post anywhere in here, it doesn't matter -
The Call of Captain-thulhu
#814Well, if you think about it, no one really pays attention to this anymore... wait a minute, what am I doing! ill just say it quick. fine, post wherever you want, but nobody will listen to your voice here. except for a few people... like... me... -
The Call of Captain-thulhu
#815Hey, this thread is alive again!!
Magus, you are just silly. Does it really matter where people post? Not like penguins comment had a lot of deep metaphysical discussion so who cares if anybody reads it. Penguin felt like sharing and I would rather it be shared here then a new thread started to say "spring break."
If you really think about it, people pay attention to wherever a new post is posted, regardless of the thread. Do you think the voice would be listened to more if it was posted somewhere else? More people may look at a post in this thread just out of curiousity since it has gone for 55 pages, more so then a new post probably.
I wonder how many people are reading this now? Probably everybody that reads posts in this forum regulary, just like they read most all new posts....just like you Magus.
The reason nobody paid attention to it is because there were no new posts...and now that there is one post, the thread has become alive again.
((practicing beating a dead horse, if you are still reading this....wow))
So when somebody posts something new, no matter how old a thread is, it instantly comes alive again with renewed interest. The same thing happens every couple days all over the forum. Somebody sees an old thread with an interesting idea and posts a comment then suddenly interest is renewed.
The problem is when your attitude infects the rest of us and we start completely abandoning all the old threads. Once that starts happening then you have all these old threads just sitting there eating space and then new threads are started with the same ideas and discussions just because people thought "that thread is dead, nobody pays attention to it."
((smack, kick, elbow drop))
That is bad, I WANT the old threads to be revitalized. I WANT old threads to be reused. I WANT people to post new ideas in old crusty threads.
((Looking at the hamburger that was once a horse...that should do it)) -
The Call of Captain-thulhu
#816So....
Who likes fried chicken? -
The Call of Captain-thulhu
#817I like chicken, but I obly eat it after a soccer game! 1 piece for every pk I save! -
The Call of Captain-thulhu
#818damnit, i have brought upon the renewed success of my arch-nemisses. This really sucks, how could i not have seen that which was most obvious. your conduct will futher my nightmares. -
The Call of Captain-thulhu
#819It was just that I needed to get it out, I didnt care if anyone read it or replied. If I didnt put it somewhere I was gonna burst. -
The Call of Captain-thulhu
#820How does a Horse become a hamburger? -
The Call of Captain-thulhu
#821Well, first he is killed, then he is skined, then he is pasterised or whatever it is they do to meat, next he is cooked and shaped, and finnaly he is put between two buns. that is the answer to your question, the sage has provided it again. -
The Call of Captain-thulhu
#822You forgot that they grind it somewhere along the line.
And you misspelled "nemesis". -
The Call of Captain-thulhu
#823whatever, here a novel idea. STOP CORRECTING ME! people are smart enought to figure out what i said on their own. -
The Call of Captain-thulhu
#824Are we? -
The Call of Captain-thulhu
#825I dono't think most of us are that intelligent! And besides, don't you want to know better the next time? -
The Call of Captain-thulhu
#826... you know, no matter what you say, you all really know that im right. logic and reason come from a different source than your creativity, however there is a fine line between geneous, and insanity. If you take a while to think about it, than youll realise what that has to do with this disscusion. On top of that... wait a minute, why even go on, look at all the rucus youve caused just by correcting a simple mistake. Mabey thats why... I better not say it, but I think you know what I was going to talk about. -
The Call of Captain-thulhu
#827=) Some would say that Genius is insanity. Or that insanity inspires Genius, at least. For the insane are not bound by rules of what 'should be', and therefore may attempt steps not thought of by a sane person. I will say here and now, that I dont truly consider myself completely sane :-)
And I really dont see any 'ruckus', merely several good-natured replies.
And to close, I present you with this question to grill your minds: Where do they shove the stick in roast rat-on-a-stick? -
The Call of Captain-thulhu
#828...however there is a fine line between geneous, and insanity.
HAHAHAHAHAHA -
The Call of Captain-thulhu
#829STROLEN! Calm down and BREATHE, man! It wasn't that bad of a misspelling! -
The Call of Captain-thulhu
#830HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!
You know how he spelled "genius"?
He spelled it like this:
"geneous"
AHAHAAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA!
I spit on your grave!
*Walks away chuckling malevolently* -
The Call of Captain-thulhu
#831It is not so much the spelling that got me, after all I don't think there has been a post of his without a misspelling, but the word that was misspelled.
Now THAT *IS* VERY funny!! -
The Call of Captain-thulhu
#832A Fine line between genius and insanity?
I believe I shattered that line I crossed it so fast! -
The Call of Captain-thulhu
#833I'm still confused how can a horse become a hamburger, if hamburger is suposed to be made of cow? Why is it a hamburger if it is in fact cow? -
The Call of Captain-thulhu
#834Ham is actually mostly from a pig, but I'll let it slide :)
To set your mind at ease, said horse, was genetically modified with Hog and/or cow genes, thusly creating an exotic form of hamburger when killed, cooked and shoved between two pieces of bread. -
The Call of Captain-thulhu
#835It's a hamburger because ancient people who created it were stupid and thought all meat was the same once ground up! -
The Call of Captain-thulhu
#836mmmmm....... beef.
::drools on the floor:: -
The Call of Captain-thulhu
#837MMMMMMMMMMMM politics! I used to be interested in politics! No wait, I've never like them, I actually try to stay as far away from them as possible. Perhaps I should just start running now? If I did that would anyone really care though? I mean seriously, someone like me who only makes the rest of the region look slightly moral and sane can't be too sorely missed if he leaves.
I guess the main thing I was trying to sy is that I like snickerdoodle, it's a very funny word, like google and plasma! Other words are funny too, but I can't seem to remember them right now so I will just leave them anonymous for now.
Speaking of anonymous, ever wonder why at AA meetings it even has Anonymous in its title yet the first thing they have you do is say your name, and you have to get up and speak in front of a lot of people to do it. Now, if you were an alcoholic, the whole attractiveness of the AA would be anonymity and they don't allow that. Also, given as public speaking is mankind's number 1 fear even over death wouldn't attract many members would it?
In regards to members, my clan of Flying Purple Monkey lovers seems to have died down lately. Have they merely lost their spontaniety and humor, or is it a far more insideous plot to weed me out of existance everywhere beginning with the topic I cover most?
I get it now, it's a conspiracy isn't it? You all are out to get me arn't you? I won't have it, I think I will just crawl into a small corner and laugh meniacally until I have the support of any number of small self-interest groups and then will march into the CIA headquarters in Lang-Lang (sp?) and overthrow your evil plot once and for all! -
The Call of Captain-thulhu
#838I'm too bored to post a message on here so I think I'll go complain elsewhere instead. A monkey walked into a bar yesterday. Ouch, that must have hurt really bad, but I got to touch it in taking care of it. Obviously none of you have ever touched a monkey, it's kind of addicting, but now I'm earning my reputation as Dave the hider behind things and need to stop talking so I can get on with my normal human life. Except for the fact that I am not a human, that plan was perfect, but as I'm not, it's not, and I failed again for the first time in my life. Didn't I just say I had no life though? I think I might be confusing myself but I'm too stupid to know for sure so I will settle for staring at a blank wall for hours and chanting strange mantras to make evildoes beware of the wrath of Frank and the wonder twins Bob and Sherrel. Bob is a recovering alcoholic who still drinks while Sherrel is afraid of everything but her own shadow, so she pulled it off and wears it as a trenchcoat to shield her from the attentions of Frank who thinks her nose is really a Polish sausage. Frank loves polish sausage more than French Fries, yet the empire state building hasn't fallen over yet so obviously his inner demon has yet to find the secret to making good American cheese. If anyone is still reading this now I congratualte you and just mention this ad the next time I see you for a fabulous prize. That being said I'd like to end with a few choice words: Fruzzleback, Jukresh, and Whizzerball! -
The Call of Captain-thulhu
#839...what the haell. Im sorry, i was to lazy to read any of your posts. So what am i saying? Somebody tell me. And now, a joke.
There are three people playing golf, jesus, moses, and some other guy. Jesus goes up to hit his ball, and it lands in the water, so he walks across the water, picks up his ball, and drops it onto the green.
Moses goes up to hit his ball, and it too lands in the water, so he does that thing he does where the water all moves to the sides, walkes into the bottom, and hits his ball. onto the green.
The third guy goes up to hit his ball, it lands in the water, then a frog puts it in his mouth, then a bird picks up the frog, and the frogs spits the ball out and it lands in the hole.
Then moses says to jesus, "Man jesus, thats why i hate playing with your dad." -
The Call of Captain-thulhu
#840how did we get from ranting to jokes?
I have decided to never turn left or right anymore, but to continue straight on towards my goal. Of course, it does take a long time to get anywhere, and my teeth hurt from chewing through so much sheetrock. Also the neighbors are starting to complain about the holes in their walls. That reminds me of the story of the tortoise and the hare. If I remember right, the tortoise had hair that grew really fast, but he beat it by using his flippers as a support. Now you might say that tortoise don't have flippers, but if that were true, how could they fly? Or you might say that tortoise do indeed have flippers, in which case...shut up!
