   Anyone down for a Strolencon in June in Las Vegas?
   
   Ok, maybe just a bunch of geeks getting together, but whatever. Contemplating going down there that month for another get together and figured I would throw this out there.

   If the following greater evils can be kept at bay, I am coming: 1: The boss(the one who insists on sleeping beside me, to control my every move), 2: the other boss, (the one at work), 3: the third boss (my economy).

   Not a chance in hell for me :D But hey, take plenty of pictures and such!
   
   Maybe in about... hm, 3 years time i'll be secure enough in my work, finance and education to be able to get time and money to do such a thing  :up:

   Not only am I sooooo in!!!!!!! But I can also hook up the Hotels and non-Gaming related activities for the gathered strolenites!!!!!

   Yes, part of the meeting will be to establish the Multicultural Multi-international Organizational Republic of Pathological Gamers.
   
   We will make the obscure acronym MMORPG known throughout the free (and communist) world!!! All will bow to our power and make webpages dedicated to our group!

    Well, from a logistical standpoint, the hotter it is in Vegas, the cheaper the hotels and airfare will be.

    I think that if we dont pick a date and start RSVP'ing, we'll never go. So, I'll throw out, ummm, actually, I'm in for any day of the year. Someone else pick a day.

    Six months is a good distance for prebooking cheap tickets. If the hotter is true too, then June is still fine with me. (And for planning as Ria pointed out as I was about to post this :) )

    Yep. Getting the family logistic all set up is vital for us europeans too. It is not a trip I can take lightly as my SO is a saleswoman that works around the clock. ;)

    Officially, my new job (not my first choice, but not my last choice) at the hospital starts 01/13.  My first three official acts will be to get my new cube, to get my new passwords, and to ask for a couple days off....

    Yeah for all the new jobs that have been happening for the past little bit.
    
    As far as the dates, I originally brought this up because my wife was going to have a get together in Junish as well but their group has not set their date yet. She "says" she is not going to go to that reunion but it is 6 months away so things can change. I was sort of waiting a little but to put a date on it to match that as we could drop the kids off at Grandma's then do the meet-ups and then do a little extended thing for us.
    
    That said, if we need a date concreted so we can start planning, then we just run with it and I will make it...whatever it is. So no worries on any dates that are decided on.

    Any volunteers to DM a game(s)? I know I won't be because I already know I am a sucky DM. I just love the ideas.
    
    We should plan what systems we are going to play to so we bring what we need and not bring too much other crap we won't use. (unless it is cool stuff to show of course)
    
    Muro, how much are T-Shirts as I am happy to pitch in for them. I will probably think of some more t-shirt options and then we can vote on them or whatever. We will need a graphic to, so if anybody is graphically talented, that is great...else we need to come up with something so I can ask Kate to hook us up.
    
    Do we have prizes? What for? What prizes?
    
    Where are we going to stay? Excalibur I would assume since we are geeks. Maybe Treasure Island? The pyramid with a big light? I don't know. Who has the best buffet?
    
    Are we going to get a conference room to play in? That would be most convenient vs. playing in somebody's room I would guess. Are we going to share rooms/suites?
    
    Anybody going to be there more than just the weekend. I will probably fly in Thursday and leave Monday or something just to be there a little longer.

    Well, assuming that I can go (read: afford it), I don't mind attempting a game.  I'm sure it will involve a healthy dose of adlib, but I'm told it works.  I know 3rd ed D&D/d20, I have a passing familiarity with FUDGE, and I have Exalted.  I would be willing to learn a new system, provided I can get the materials for it.
    
    As for hotel, I vote for whichever is the cheapest.  :grin:
    
    Anyway.  That's my two cents.
