#329Minion at work...
*Imagines Chaosmark speaking olde english to his colleagues*
That image aside: the archery video was cool!
I always thought modern archery was dorky, so cool to see this. -

#332On a site for writers, this might be worth something. For those who have a paypal account and is interested in getting paid for writing.

I can't personnally vouch for it, because I don't have a paypal account, but if even half of what is said is true, it seems like a really good gig.

Re: Interesting Non-Game Stuff
#340Speaking of "Mmmmm Mummy meat", i was just watching Anthony Bourdain's show where he visits the world's #1 restaurant, NOMA in Copenhagen. The chaps who work there love experimenting with food, and their latest experiment, involves literally "mummifying" a joint of pork, with all of the ingredients the Egyptians would have used...honey, natron, wax, etc...
After it's mummified for years, they slice the meat like prosciutto, and it's apparently tasty :) -

#343This is something I cannot explain, and it's long. Very long, especially if you watch the whole series. But it is also something everyone ought to see before Disney seizes and desists it. So when you have a half hour to spare. Enjoy.

Re: Interesting Non-Game Stuff
#345My favorite is Starlite, the material that a goddamn hairdresser cooked up in his kitchen, that the scientists scoffed at ("We laugh in the face of Plebians"), that literally allows you to stand unfased on the surface of the sun, without feeling even a bit hot, that he refused to give away the receipt for, then died and is now lost to humankind.
Another great invention joining the ranks of Greek Fire.

#352Science is the same as the government at this point.
Lobbyists and sponsors of the research can get the results they want without much interest in the facts or how its affects will progress. Profit drives everything. Knowledge is somewhere on the priority list...not sure where. -
