The Balgrians were the perfect scapegoats.
The lowest of the low, the filth of the streets of Midwessel, the Balgrians were the foil for everything, the hated minority . They worshipped a foreign god, made iconic art! Folly, surely blasphemy, to the Midwesselites. They had white skin! White skin! No good person in Midwessel had a skin tone lighter than a golden brown! They ate the scraps of everyone else's table, consumed fish and fowl! This two, was disgusting to the Midwesselites. They wore their hair LONG! FOETID IN THE EXTREME! So, what to do with these foreign, blasphemous, chicken and fish-eating, disgusting, long-haired, white-skinned people? Oppress them, of course! So had been the way for five centuries, and never was a stir of opposition heard. Who cut the purse of the neighbor's boy? Surely not a Midwesselite, it must have been a Balgrian! Who scrawled vicious anti-Balgrian epithets and drawings all over the Balgrian quarter and Balgrian bazaar? No Midwesselite would have done such a thing, it must have been...A Balgrian! But no longer.
Riots in the streets, fighting with the Midwessel Kaiser's Guard, and violent rebellion have characterized the past year, and now the Balgrian Revolution appears to be spreading beyond Midwessel's capitol! Balgrian cotton pickers and peat diggers have tossed down their tools. Balgrian cowherds and stable-shovelers have stormed off!
When the constellation of Nastra, He of Lightning Hair, symbol of the struggle against oppresion, settles with the North Star for his eye, the castle of the Kaiser will be stormed by the Balgrians, promises the Balgrian Resistance.

OPTIONS
A. The heroes are hired by the Kaiser to help put down the Balgrian Revolution

The Hall of Honour is your mark on a submission you believe is frick’n awesome — so good you would jump in front of a dragon’s breath to protect the scroll it is written on.

Bestowing HoH also highlights it on the front of the Citadel for about a day, so others see the recognition it earned.

You may bestow HoH on the same submission up to your level (with a short wait between strikes). Five distinct HoH voters raise a work to Golden.

The Balgrians sound like hippies who got tired of being oppressed by the man...man. Rousingly written for the beginings of a civil upheaval and civil war.

Even at the start, CP's writing style is great!
