The Red Flower Society is a secret society that dates back to the time around the burning of the Great Temples of the South when the Churians invades the Great Civilized Land from the North, conquering the ruling dynasty and setting up their own. The Rebels consisting of ex-military and warrior monks of the Great Temples were forced to take refuse in local monasteries. There they formed the Red Flower Society. It is a secret society where members could identify themselves by wearing a red flower or by quoting random poetry that includes a red flower in it.

Secret societies have long existed for a number of social and political reasons. The Red Flower Society members pooled their wealth of knowledge and years of experience in hand to hand combat for the purpose of creating and teaching their revolutionary troops. Their goals was to be undetected by their enemies, moving as common folk. They would then strike and melt away into the crowd.

The Rebels created the first fighting system with a true understanding of tactics and timing. The Society members had two objectives 1) to create a system that could be learned quickly; secondly, it had to be extremely effective against the fighting systems known to the Churians.

The Red Flower Society specializes in Strategy and Tactic skills, analyzing styles, a variety of poses designed to take on specific options, and skills options that increase striking speed. It is all about the timing of the gates opening and closing, a feel for time/ space/ energy. To those not prepared to deal with this style, it is lethal in the extreme.

The society has been somewhat successful in opposing the Chorion dynasty and its huge military for the last hundred years. They will someday throw down the oppressors.

Hall of Honour

for Red Flower Society

The Hall of Honour is your mark on a submission you believe is frick’n awesome — so good you would jump in front of a dragon’s breath to protect the scroll it is written on.

Bestowing HoH also highlights it on the front of the Citadel for about a day, so others see the recognition it earned.

You may bestow HoH on the same submission up to your level (with a short wait between strikes). Five distinct HoH voters raise a work to Golden.

Too many Martial Arts movies for you. Isn't this the origin story from Wing Chung Style (and a few other Chinese Martial Arts?). Still is is kind of cool.

What he said! Not much by today's standards, but it is an okay summary. (Also added the Martial Arts freetext.)

Brings nothing new to the table. As everyone said, it has been done and has been done better.

    Hi,

I am new to the site. While I agree with all the comments regarding this post's lack of originality and the lack of effort that went into the development of the idea I just want to point out how much this guy posts. He can't post as much as he does and have everything be a game tested labor of love. So I would suggest cutting the guys some slack. Not every idea can be a home run and since the web is endless what better place to toss out all your little throw away ideas.

That we know and MoonHunter is well respected for the massive amount of contributions he made. If you try to consider each post on its own merits, some will turn out to be less than perfect and will be commented on appropriately. Does it mean anything in the long term? Not really. If you stick around for long enough and post some amount of submissions, some will be better and some worse (and often will they be accepted differently than you would think, go figure). To some degree, we try to cut some slack to new members, familiar faces tend to be fair game. :)

So, do not worry about criticism. We try to be nice, when we bark we don't bite (but watch out for the rabid penguins). Don't be afraid of adding your ideas - we always appreciate if someone makes a submission grow towards perfection.

Oh, and: yes, this is the place to toss out all your little throw away ideas. But not everything needs to be a submission, where a certain degree of completeness is expected. If it's small and stand-alone, you could make it an Idea Seed. You could work on it in the forums and see what others have to say about it. If you find a suitable scroll, you can post it as a scroll entry (or you could even create a new scroll with several smaller ideas that fit together). And you could make it a Stub and link it to something else.

There are many ways to deliver an idea - choose the one you find suitable.
