The Guild's history is a very extensive one: set down exactly 1721 years ago by the fighter Anawaith, Anawaith chagned to the Ranger Ways and encouraged people from the village of Elimirth(now a city) to join. Desperate for work and to protect them from the beasts of the forest, many joined. Under the training of Anawaith, they became effective rangers, clearing the land for expansion. As the fame of the Anawaith's rangers continued to expand after Anawaith's death, so did the size of the village, as more and more people came. World affairs affected them soon. The Anawaith rangers were sent off to war to represent the city of Elimirth, to the Wood Elf Realm to fight the ever dangerous Dwarves, and other places. They were great with the sword, but even greater with the composite long bow. As the first wars ended, the Rangers continued to watch the vast forests and be called on duty in distant lands. As the years passed, The Anawaith rangers fame faded, but are still popular in the city Elimirth, where they are counted as a special soldier rank, because of their strict rules and honour.

The guild home itself is a spreawling mansion on the edge of the city. Actually it is the 'old part' of the city. Here many people come and go for advice. It stands four stories high, sprawls over two acres, and is beautifully made with oak and pine. It houses places for the rangers to live, places for guests , the great hall, and the never talked about dungeons (for prisoners under question)

The Guild holds sway in poloticial power with the Elder as the High Counciler who is the leader of the council which rules the city. Some resent this power, but they use it wisely and have increaed the wealth and power of the city of Elimirth, enough to be noticed by all of the Wood Elf Realm to be counted as a stronhold other then the capital, Masinaranda.

Right now it sends its rangers on to fight in another war with the dwarves and to other places to explore new land found. The rangers do this without resent and now it is their duty to protect their home and the race of Elves.

The Anawaith Rangers over the years have developed a secret language in which they use in writing letters and speaking in battle. The Anawaith Battle Tongue is a combination of Sylvan and some form of an ancient language, the name of it went to the grave with Anawaith himself who was known at that time to explore far north where he lived with the barbarians for time to time.

Hall of Honour

for Guild of Anawaith

The Hall of Honour is your mark on a submission you believe is frick’n awesome — so good you would jump in front of a dragon’s breath to protect the scroll it is written on.

Bestowing HoH also highlights it on the front of the Citadel for about a day, so others see the recognition it earned.

You may bestow HoH on the same submission up to your level (with a short wait between strikes). Five distinct HoH voters raise a work to Golden.

It is hard to follow, but not a bad 'generic D&D' organization. It adds a bit of color to the Ranger Class.

An ok sub. I can forgive the DNDishness as rangers really do predate D&D. The spelling and grammer problems earned it a -.5 from me though.

I think it is a diamond in the rough. I like the core idea and do wish there was more. I would definitely enjoy reading more about this guild and what they have done in the world. The age alone would make them almost a mystical society that would have much aura around it.
