He's a strange foreigner who doesn't act like us... Suspicious.

Appearance
Tall, pale, late 40s, with a heavy growth of stubble which never seems to develop into a beard

History/Background
Biran is a foreigner who moved to town a couple years back. He is from a strange, far-away culture which has many different and odd customs, and he speaks the language poorly. Thus, he keeps to himself a lot, and in turn, the townsfolk shun him, and are very suspicious of him, even though he has been living among them innocuously for years.

Biran is actually a very nice, rather boring man who has a great deal of anxiety, due to the fact that he fled his homeland after offending the Great Autarch. He is very lonely, and feels he cannot relate to the foreigners he lives among; it does not help that his token attempts at extending the olive branch are rebuffed.

Special Equipment
Biran secretly has a stashed fortune buried under his house. This was all the money left of his grand treasury after the Great Autarch's soldiers burned his manor.

Rare mark

Hall of Honour

for Biran

The Hall of Honour is your mark on a submission you believe is frick’n awesome — so good you would jump in front of a dragon’s breath to protect the scroll it is written on.

Bestowing HoH also highlights it on the front of the Citadel for about a day, so others see the recognition it earned.

You may bestow HoH on the same submission up to your level (with a short wait between strikes). Five distinct HoH voters raise a work to Golden.

Sparse. We know next to nothing about this man other than him being the token foreign guy.

Biran: A nervous, disheveled foreigner. Ominous, withdrawn and apparently unfriendly, he's the sort of man that the neighbors wonder about. His source of income is mysterious as well: That doubtlessly sets the local gossips to talking.

He's a red herring waiting to happen.

(CP, were you planning to do something with poor ol' Biran?)

Well, for a while, MoonHunter was doing short character sketches, like stock cardboard characters just to throw in for flavour.. Biran was one of these.

Is there a scroll or anything this NPC can be linked to? Short write-ups for minor NPC's are very handy for the GM. Not every NPC has to have three pages of background information. More than ofte we just need "that guy" that lives around the corner.

Well, under NPCs are the categories of Extras and Extras-Horde, so those would have what you need.

(But of course, anyone can make a nifty collection of those, too...)

OK - we know he's guilty of that most heinous of all crimes - being Not Like Us

Apart from that he's a bit one-dimensional - we know next to nothing about

What are his goals and aspirations?

Does he want to go home someday, or would he like to integrate more fully into his adopted home?

Does he have family somewhere? If so, does he long for their company? Or would he prefer never to see them agian?

How did he offend the Great Autarch? Was his offence criminal, political or personal?

Maybe he didn't offend the Great Autarch at all, he just thinks he did. Iin which case, why does he believe this?

Or maybe he just claims to have offended the Great Autarch. If so, why does he make this claim?

Sorry CP, not up to your usual stanard I think - 3 for a reasonable, if slightly cliched, character, -½ for too little detail - final score 2½
