When you are under siege, you have nothing but time. But the abundance of time is just as much of a weight as the enemy outside the gates. It is time for the Citadel to develop a creative Stimulus Package to support the Strolenati during this unique time. After no deliberation and no votes, the following will be the procedures followed through the the Citadel Stimulus Quest. (Subject to change, amendment, and adjustment as needed.)

Round 1 completed May 10: 7 Weeks - $280 in Stimulus reserves. Since it was the first round, and the amount was enough to pass around, we decided everyone who took the time deserved something. So sayeth the Strolenati.
Round 2 completed July 6: 8 Weeks - $340 in Stimulus reserves. Incresed funding and a stabilized creative force has allowed some increases in most awards. So sayeth the Strolenati.

( I working on a mega dungeon, parts of which will be very old school, parts of it will be modern. So this is my take on an old school creature)
Origin
"So anyway back to the contest.
The mage guild chairman wanted more creatures for his dungeon so he sent out invitations to a contest of home made monsters Gask won with the bug bear and this made the most junior of the mages,Bosx, very angry. His owl bear was rejected, 'Unimpressive said the chairman. So he went back to work in an attempt to have a victory for his idea but the contest was over and Bosk had lost. It took him 22 years to get an agler fish to breath out of water. He rose in the guild but was still chafed about his loss from years ago, so he continued on the angler fish. Finally his masterpiece was done.
Creation
The Fishoid is extremely difficult to create as Bosx was not the best note keeper(some say this was deliberate, and it was)) In in pite of the difficulty in the process, it has become a status symbol to own one..To create you must first land an angler fish of the largest variety. Then comes the step that most often goes wrong, fussing te fish to a dryad to imbue it with the hypnosis "fishing poles" . Enlarging it is the last step but all too often a mage will try to enlarge first.

immune to charms, sleep and mind effecting spells
The Fishoid has 3 eye stalks each of which appear from distance as men carrying torches.It also has metal "trophies" attached to it's body to make a metallic clanking sound. Each of these eye stalks does 1d3,d4 or d6 (based on HD) energy zaps at appropriate to hit. Entering melee with the creature requires a saving throw(should be low after adjustment player should need about a 10 to save) or you stand there fascinated by the light of the stalks. This save must be made every round and the effect only lasts for that round. To Spell or missile attack you need make a save that is about a needed 14 on the d20(From a distance the effect is stronger due to being effected by more of it's eye's.

Ummmm, this could use a once-over edit for spelling, syntax, punctuation, grammar, etc lol
but I do sense the “old-school” vibe in this critter.
When the new forum launched I was all set; I was only going to do ideas, the perfect compromise between me and the strolinati. I would still launch my thoughts in a way that was acceptable. I let Strolen talk me out of this. I had the right idea to begin with. I am going to leave this up for a few days and then I will delete as a submission and reenter it as an idea. It' for the best and everybody is happy.
Why not just edit it? I don’t get it.
I think it is too long as an idea. You will lose the formatting and basic editing would still hold true for an idea I would say.
There is specifics about needing a larger fish but then just skim over the need of a dryad. Seems like that would be the more complicated of the two requirements. And what is "fishing poles"? I don't get that.
Can I assume this is a land creature? How does it move and if it is large and moving on land, why would the eyes look like men carrying torches if they were on top of a creature? How big is this fishoid? I want to understand it better.
All I’m saying is, why not just edit it? :). So we don’t start off with “I working on a mega dungeon” just change that to “I’m working on a...” and so forth.
