#2I guess for now, just login as guest and then pick your name at start up.
Can't do much with it, but I have it for free for three years. By then I will have figured out something else. So when we lose the chat on this site, at least we will have a fall back to at least chat on. -

#3Strolen for some reason when I go to chat I am the only person in the chat room and I can see on the main forums section that there are people chatting. How do I solve that problem?

#4That is not your fault, but due to people not exiting the chat properly. If someone just closes the chat window without logging out, the main site will still register them as bieng in the chat until someone looks in there.
Er, im fairly sure thats the reason, anyway :) -

#5Yep, that's the deal.
People need to make sure that they actually click the "Exit" link when they intend to leave. -

#6This chat is java based. I read somewhere that MS is dropping their Java Virtual Machine... Could it be a problem, or is the average Strolenite advanced enough to navigate to Sun's pages and get their JVM? -

#7JVM is EVIIIIIIILLLLLL
I has all Java based crap and am only recently accepting small portions of javascript (which, I know, is different but can be just as evil).
The new site will have a "shoutbox" on every page so this is no longer a real issue. It won't really be "real time" and autorefresh like it is now. Everybody will have it available and they are automatically be able to read any chat going on just by being on the site.
It is smaller, but if you are having a deep discussion you can always go to the chat page and give it your full attention while everybody else can just follow the conversation. The full page will also allow you to review previous discussions like you can now.
So, no worries about JVM in a nutshell. :)
