    Jikoku | Type: Large_Sword | Flaming Large Sword | Cursed | Author: Erik [ Print Item ] [ Edit Post ]

    A blade of great power.

Jikoku is a sword that resembles a scimitar. The one major difference is that it is flaming. Jikoku was forged in Hell bye demons and devils. It's fire damage is unblockable by armor or anyother outside force (spells in particular). A major drawback is that is is afected by heavenly magic (holy magic whatever you prefer).

Magical Properties: This item is cursed.
It corupts the mind and soul into somthing black and terible.

    Close, "jiGoku"
but they have various infernal planes so jiKoku could be one

Does anybody else think this item needs a little more detail?

    Oh yes.
    CaptainPenguin Submitted: 06.23.03 15:21 [ EDIT ]

    Yeah. It does.

Why does any weopon that's flaming have to be a demonic weopon? In the Bible, the Garden of Eden was guarded by an angel with a flaming sword. I would like to see more items that would belong or would be crafted by someone you wouldn't think would wield or craft such an item... within moderation of course.

The only difference between an Angel and a Demon is the color of its wings/ the side of the line it was on.

That's very true (Except for the wing thing). Demons are merely fallen angels. However, demons can take many shapes and forms. Sometimes they even take the forms of angels of light. Kind of reminds me though, ever hear of the story of Daniel and the lion's den? He prayed for an angel to come and protect him, but when the angel came, he told Daniel all about how he couldn't get to Earth himself because there were so many demons (Which he couldn't battle all himself). He had to get an arch angel to come with him and clear the way. Makes me wonder what it would be like to fight something off that was once your brother and friend for who knows how many years. Someone you used to work, talk, and worship with every day... Now doing everything they can to cause as much destruction as possible. All this stuff is in the Bible (Where angels were first even mentioned). Look it up if you think I'm wrong. =)

Also, fire is actually often used to describe God or God's wrath. E.G. lake of fire, raining fire on Sodom and Gamora (And Egypt), pillar of fire that lead Jews through the desert at night, flaming bush that spoke to Moses, etc etc...

No where in the Bible that I have seen does it ever mention demons or Satan using fire as a power at all (Although I wouldn't be too suprised if he did somewhere). That was something that was added later on in the paintings of demons as Europe met with the East (Just like pictures of halos weren't added untill plates were put on the heads of holy statues to keep the bird poop off).

This concludes my lesson on nothing important. =P If I missed something or got something wrong lemme know.

Why do the angels and the demons have to have seperate planes and war eternally against each other? Why can't they be more like the Republicans and the Democrats in the House and Senate? Just people of the same species having a fundamental disagreement? Of course, you could always take the view that the Congressmen are all DEMONS....
    MoonHunter Submitted: 06.25.03 01:36 [ EDIT ]

Why did the American North and South go at it? Nope. The Demons, they broke The Law (in large numbers) and took steps to twart the otherside. I guess the process of punishment is not yet over.

Hehehe, I don't know about that... Although, Hitler was visited by "angels" as he wrote in Mien Comf (Don't know how it's spelled) that helped him decide in slaughtering the Jewish peoples. Then again, that was Hitler... He wasn't exactly the most stable man to begin with. Who knows? (Dun dun duuuuun!!!) ;)

To come back to the subject of the blade in question.

It has far too little detail to get a decent rating.

    - Why is it cursed?
    -Which drawback does it have?

I see no single problem in using this item. as it stands, it would even be very usable for a Paladin
