Strolen, this is really a great site, I bet you will see me around alot.

My only addition would be to have somwhere to post full adventures. I really like the great amount of help for adventure ideas (possibly the hardest part) but many games masters spend a lot of time and effort working out the details of spectacular adventures, and sharing them is really a pleasure.

That is something I have been beating around for as long as I had the idea for the site.

Main reason is: I am a hardcore Palladium Fantasy Fan. There I said it, that is the first step. I am not going to meetings and therefore my recovery chances seem slim. I LOVE the fact that you can defend yourself in that system and it opens up the chance for defense crits that are just FUN. And I also enjoy how the skills are created/updated. I just like it better then AD&D

That said, this site was in the works and created in its first form before 3E and D20 hit the scene. While I have the books, I have made no effort to try the system, nor do much studying of it. Chock it up to laziness or fact I am a full time student and full time employed.

So my main goal was to get good ideas that any DM from any system could take and make their own. I didn't want to constrict it to Palladium, but I didn't want any other system having a monopoly either. I tend to change pretty much anything I get my hands on anyway and creating stats is never really the problem...a good game idea is mostly the problem, for me.

I would absolutely not take out any full adventures and I have no problem with somebody submitting them. I would, however, still like a nice plot outline/summary first before all the gritty details are recorded. That way I, playing Palladium, can read the idea, take it, and not have to wade through all the stats that don't matter to me.

If there are enough submissions that are full-out adventures, I would love it, I would simply create another sorting option for them. Say, Full Adventures, Adventure Hooks, whatever and have the option of just seeing them or whatever we decide to do.

We are VERY interactive here and I am ALWAYS wanting to here new ideas, and this one is a VERY good one...just one I haven't really followed through with. I have been thinking of D20 pretty hard though and will continue. But I also really like the generic, loose quality of the site. Grab a quick idea and run.

Maybe it is not THE stats, it may be more like:

    Room 25: Empty.
Room 26: Seems empty, invisible monster inside!

It is does not to be about detailed description to every room etc. it should be about things relevant to the idea itself, or giving a feel for it. Minor NPCs, treasure that can be expected, really detailed descriptions of important locations... All things not outright necessary in the Idea/Hook itself, but which may be handy if someone wants to play it , but has little time. Included can be also the reactions of the players- everything the poor DM should prepare for.

The idea should be definitely kept, but a Detailed view may show the long, full adventures we are used to.

I have to say that sounds like quite a good idea: although coming up with ideas is certainly the hardest part of running a campaign, the bit that takes the longest is the dungeon-creation. Instead of setting up a new database you could simply invite people to include that sort of data on their Plot Hook when they submit it. Or as manfred suggests you could have the database entry working on 3 levels: a summary which is seen on the "plots" page, a plot hook which is accessed from the plots page and a set of details which is accessed from the description of the plot hook.
