    I sort of gave up on that site. I don't have the vote link on the rebuild and am not sure if it is worth the effort either. I don't advertise so probably better to just stay 100% pure then trying to push a vote link. Might have a page of "friendly" sites seperate from the mass of links that we acquired.
    
    Good resource to find stuff, but I don't count on the "top" list anymore for browsing or appearing. I still vote occassionally but not anything like I used to.
    
    By all means vote though. It can only help.

    We were hovering around #15 then got dumped. Usually means somebody abused the system. Multiple votes and stuff like that. I found that whenever I vote from the military computers it instantly takes me off the list. Probably because the base goes through a proxy so it resolves from a single IP or something so they think it is a cheating vote...so I don't do that anymore. Doesn't take much to get kicked off the list it seems so who knows what it was this time.

    That has historically been a common complaint with the Gateway (although Strolen's is at #11 as of this writing).  The new metric reduces abusive voting greatly, but no voting system could ever be universally accepted as perfect.

    Hehe, just kidding. If your vote caused the slide, the above comment is true. Low votes bring us down, while high votes bring us up. Probably other sites had more active users though, since I hardly believe you dislike this site ;)

    Just bumped up to 14!  I think our disadvantage is in numbers.  Sites like the SW Combine (which is crap, IMO) have upwards of 1000 members, whilst ours is but a little township.  A mighty township though it be!  If we want up, each of us will have to vote frequently and often.

    A little aside, we are on the "Editor's Choice Awards Page" - sites that have earned the Gold Wyrm Editor's Choice awards for content, design, overall ease of navigation and site usefulness. The Citadel is among "Resources : Character Building : Equipment".
    
    
    So even if we fall from grace again, we should stay visible there.

    I found Strolens a year before the RpgGateWay, but by then I had lost the Strolen's link and through the powers of the gateway I rediscovered the lost realm of Strolen's Paradise.

    The ranking is based off of hits as well as votes.  The 'cool' tag is entirely popularity, measured in hits out.
