Just another poll. Opinions as well as votes are encouraged if you have a comment.

Thought I would bring it up since the idea has come up before.

    Mailing full submissions
    Good:
-You get the whole thing in your inbox and you can save it if you wish.
-Don't have to open a web browser.
-For me, can have it sent to work and read it without suspicion :)
-Easy to forward a submission to others.

    Bad:
-Don't have to go to the site to view it and therefore may lose comments/votes
-Stop visiting the site because everything is hand delivered. Turns into a mailing list
-The fewer visits may lead to fewer submissions.

(Should I maybe add a Mail This Submission link?)

A button to email an alreayd submitted item to my mailbox may be practical if I need a print or electronic version during my campaign.

However, if it is more then ten minutes work.... leave it as is. I can live with my current work around.

The drawbacks you mention, urge me to say: posting submissions and initialy reading them should be done on the site.

  3. So you are going to allow people to generate psuedo spam?

So I can put anything in a submission, send out an email with a deceptive title... saying look at me. It is basically spamish.

Too many avenues for abuse. Don't do it.

The way I read it, was that only when I am logged in at the citadel, can I use a button to send the submission to my own email adress.

Not: I hit a button and now I can send this submission to moonhunter or captainpenquin....
