Not too sure about this one, but it might be handy.

Would it be useful to allow image links in submissions?
This would only be in the main submission and I could probably make it a link to the image in a new window or should I allow inline images that show up in the submission?

Not sure how to implement it yet but either would be an upload during submission generation (which would be hard) or have a default upload place where you can put images and then will be able to link to that image using the img link. Would be able to link to offsite images as well...maybe. Not sure if that is a great idea.

There will have to be size restrictions. Only for settings or would it be useable for other things as well? Don't want the copyright thing getting out of hand either and I have no knowledge of those things but don't want that to get crazy either.

Just looking for some other thoughts if I should even go down this path or leave everything in the "Album" and let it go at that. Maybe just a way to link to the Album picture would be enough.

    Anyone have any thoughts?

I would say it is more practical to give the choice to the poster....

So he/she should be able to determine if the picture should be shown inside the post, or in a new window.

For larger pictures I would use a new window, while for smaller pictures I would use in-line.

A default choice for the viewer.... seems dificult ot implement and .....

You get my meaning I asume.

My thoughts towards that is I would rather let the user decide if they want to download and view a picture they may or may not want.

I don't want to force extra download time on slow users. The poster could want it to be viewed inline but if the user doesn't care I don't want to force it.

And it is not really that hard to implement. More worried about what people want coming to the site then the difficulty level of coding. Just don't want to waste my time doing something nobody cares about. :)
