Unifying Topic for Epub 2

1. Unifying Topic for Epub 2

   #1

We are putting out a fiction anthology on Amazon.

Our first project is almost finished and we are starting on the next issue.  We would like all the stories in each Epub  (issue) to be connected by single theme or topic.  We want this thread to be something that could, depending on much you want to bend genre, be placed into all types of narrative styles and sub-genres.  Thus, if the theme were Dragons we could have Dragon versus Spaceships, Dragon's in love or a Dragon seeking out an evil Princess to save his beloved Knight.  Since this will be an internet product, we also hope that the theme will be a topic that will be familiar to fans of speculative Fiction.

Hmmm... given that I'm the one who thought up the Bad Teacher theme (what I call Mentor with a Vice), I just want to clear up that I think a Mentor with a Vice (ala smoking/drinking) is a cliché. Wording of this theme on the poll makes me think that the reverse is being implied here i.e. an invitation to create Mentors with a Vice.

The theme for issue 2 is Wizard but we also stockpiling up for Creation Lore, Steeds and Dame Fatale at the same time. Shared World? we first need to make a catalyst event first that we can all use to make our visions of the various parts of the shared world or alternate history or other whathaveyou as per Muro suggestion. it's in the list of 5 but not a genuine valid theme at this stage.

Shared World is going to be very tough to pull off, but it's such a great concept, for simplicity sake I think we should go with a very small geographical area
A small city(how about under siege?)
