If the Citadel was a famous personality, who would it be?
#1I would like to have some fun with this idea.
As I create the new webpages, there will be different pages that will require stories, explanations, and directions to understand what the hell goes on here. I know I haven't done a great job in the past to onboard new members so I am taking a special interest in these kind of pages.
In the spirit of that: What famous personality do you think embodies the spirit that we want the Citadel to be like?
It can be real or fictional, as long as he/she is somewhat popular and recognized by us.
(I have a couple thoughts but wanted to see your ideas first.) -

#2i want to say Bruce Campbell in a movie based on something new written by HPL from beyond the grave. -

#3The Citadel has a split personality.
The first part is like Johnny Depp, playing multiple artful roles and delivering during every performance.
The second part of the personality is like Bill Gates, delivering dry technicality after dry technicality, worrying about even more dry technicalities. -

#4Bruce Campbell is a fun idea. Will have to watch the Evil Dead series and decide which version of him I like best. Johnny Depp was one on my mind already so I like that one too.
Key impressions of Bruce Campbell as Ash as stolen from Wikipedia:
- incompetent at everything except fighting the Evil Dead
- a bad slow thinker and a good fast thinker
- His main strength seems to be his ingenuity
- most defining characteristic is the chainsaw attached to Ash's right nub
Johnny Depp, have to go with Jack Sparrow as it is the easiest character to try and define (Willy Wonka?)
- treacherous and survives mostly by using wit and negotiation rather than by force
- flee most dangerous situations and to fight only when necessary
- He meanders his way through the plot, and he kind of affects everybody else
- otives usually remain masked, and whether he is honorable or evil depends on the audience's perspective
Bill Gates
- Yeah, not much of a personality. Everything is business focused, technical as you said.
