Re: Prehistoric Pitch
#41Apologies for the slow pace, I've been really swamped lately. :( Will get something up once I return. The thing about creativity is that, it only strikes me occasionally, but once I get it to a bit more fleshed out point It'll start to flow better. So please bear with me for the time being. -
Re: Prehistoric Pitch
#42Don't worry, Goss, I'm also off and on these days, so no hurries. -
Re: Prehistoric Pitch
#43Thanks ML. Posted! -
Re: Prehistoric Pitch
#44Moonlake? Hullo? -
Re: Prehistoric Pitch
#45Working on it, Goss. Been busy this week. -
Re: Prehistoric Pitch
#46Ok, just checking. :) -
Re: Prehistoric Pitch
#47is this still going? open to new players?
i have a character idea, should be able to post once or twice a week (maybe more)
should i flesh out char idea here or in character creation since I'm not completely sure on it yet/want input
basic idea - super curious about what might be edible, is beneficial in that she finds new things for the group to eat but often get the downside of things that aren't so great for you. maybe got kicked out of a tribe because of someone was allergic to something she found was OK and they thought she was trying to hurt everyone.
would love to slip into the story in the cave that Dokktch is likely about to explore, maybe sampling/collecting fungi.
*meta goal would be along the lines of figuring out some variety of cooking and/or preserving -
Re: Prehistoric Pitch
#48Hallo! Uhm technically yes, though it seems my one player has gotten mired in real life stuff. So I dunno if it would be such a good idea for you to catch up with her. Maybe we could start you off somewhere else, and then if and when ML comes back, you can join up.
Okay, maybe we should focus a bit more on the gluttonous side then, since we already have one curious pc. Unless you wanna be pushing all errant buttons together, metaphorically speaking.
If you originally come from a different tribe, it might be a good idea to start you out as an Omega, though that would mean you'd be struggling a bit more.
So your high concept would be gluttonous/spontaneous or something like that then? Or would that be your trouble? As of right now, there are no chefs, no preparation of food whatsoever, it's all raw.

Re: Prehistoric Pitch
#49yeah.. I'm getting bogged down in real life stuff too... might finally have a job soon after a year (yay)
I'll check back in once things settle a bit. -
Re: Prehistoric Pitch
#50hi, sorry for long absence, my muse has gotten swallowed by real life so...
Now things are settling around more so I'm hoping to make my post either tmr or the day after.
Also, Lanfear, welcome onboard, would be great to have another player on this, esp. since our attributes seems somehow complementary to each other.
-
Re: Prehistoric Pitch
#51Ditto on the real life thing.
Lanfear, start by coming up with a concept and we'll discuss it here. Might as well do that even if you're busy for the moment, then you can jump in when life clears up. Unless you want to start now, in which case it would be good to know if I should try to fit you into the forest branch that ML chose. -
Re: Prehistoric Pitch
#52btw, Goss, did you try PM Lanfear to ask when he/she would like to come in? No hurries with me, but just thought that's sth you could do to make sure rather than just passively waiting for Lanfear to drop into this thread again, sometimes people forget about where to find a particular thread (I do sometimes) but then again maybe it's not such a big issue here cos anyone would know that it's definitely under the Roleplaying sub-board. -
Re: Prehistoric Pitch
#53Good idea. But I'm cramming like crazy atm, one more week and I'll actually start getting some time for myself again. I've only gotten as far as a few notes. -
Re: Prehistoric Pitch
#54Right, no hurries, take your time. -
Re: Prehistoric Pitch
#55I might... might have spoken too soon about the freetime, for whatever reason I seem to be in high demand atm. But I finally wrote something;

Will pm Lanfear now. -
Re: Prehistoric Pitch
#56That's okay, I think that suits me as I'm currently going through a phase that I personally call "Writer's lethargy". -
Re: Prehistoric Pitch
#57Ok, that doesn't sound very promising. Let me know if we should put this on ice then. Otherwise, we'll continue at the; updated 'whenever' pace. -
Re: Prehistoric Pitch
#58I think I'm fine with the "update whenever" pace that we had been going and then Lanfear can just drop in whenever and won't miss out on much. While I'm quite happy with the roleplay b/w the two of us so far, ultimately I think I would want another PC besides me in this. -
Re: Prehistoric Pitch
#59When I said the above, I had an inkling of what my character would do next but somehow a post never materialised. Now I'm back to FT hours and plus I'm in on the Strolenati commercial epub venture. So sorry, Goss, I think we have to put this into the cooler. -
Re: Prehistoric Pitch
#60Myeah I felt like that was pretty obvious from the get go. No worries, my time and energy is a bit sparser now as well. Call it a failed experiment. :) -
Re: Prehistoric Pitch
#61Right, somehow it wasn't obvious to me back then  But yeah, circumstances change, we can only adjust.
