   I'm looking for ideas for a fantasy game with a twist. I know its gonna be low level D&D but I'm looking for some out of the box suggestions.I'm considering a royalty/ warlord thing. One of my players suggested a Thieves Guild. But I'd like some REAL different ideas.Like Fantasy Mecha.Thanx in advance!

   The young goblin shaman enters the town and nails a list of 99 complaints against humanity to the church door.
   
   Groups of human teenagers or younger are spend their free weekends raiding small goblin settlements for fun.
   
   A horde of goblins holds a sit-in at the market town.  Thousands of goblin sit on the ground with their arms locked chanting
   Leader"what do we want"
   Horde"equal rights"
   Leader"When do we want em"
   Horde"yesterday!"
   
   The PC are brought in to remove the goblin meance

   But seriously, there are hundreds of plots in the citadel....let us know the one you pick, 
   
   I suggest the ones I wrote!

   Whatever they end up doing with the goblin sit-in, once they take a drastic action, have all the goblins start worshipping them or pledging themselves to the PCs as their overlord.
   
   Now what are the PCs going to do with a BH of goblins?

   Perhaps one of the PCs can fall in love with a Goblin, despite their best intentions or actual desire.  The PC won't be able to stop thinking about the Goblin.
   
   
   Examples
   When a flock of birds takes off said PCs hears the goblin's name.
   
   When they pass a pile of rotting compost the odor remind them of the goblin and the character feels suddenly uplifted.
   
   The character find a bowl the goblin drank out of in his hand that bowl is magic, giving them a +1 to fort saves
   
   The character looses his desire to eat and sleep when away from the goblin, so he loose HP when the Goblin is gone.

   Thanx for the goblin stuff but I think Ill pass, Ive decided Im going to use Scras Star Whale as the basis for a Cthulhu like struggle, drawing on Nightfall by Asimov
