   Hello Everyone,
   I'm The_Gekko_State.  I've only been playing RPGs for around two years. I don't currently play or GM at the moment but I'm reading the new edition of D&D, L5R 4th edition which I love, and some others. I was told to come here from RPG.net forums because I am trying to write my own campaign setting. I have some rough work done and looking for help and inspiration. 
   So hello and thank you.

   Tell me, how does one achieve a true Gekko State? I've failed at Zen, maybe Gekko is the way to go.

   I had my forwarding address sent to my address in The_Gecko_State but all I got was the tail end of it.

   You can start a thread in the forums here or, if you are comfortable with us reading and rating, feel free to throw them on the main site. Either is perfect depending on how you want to present them. You can get ideas either way but sometimes the forum is the better place to put incomplete ideas you want assistance on.

   They're not very complete at the moment. Or so I think. I suppose I should say what I'm working on. I'm working on a Dwarf centric world.  So I suppose the forums would be the best place.

    I saw the guilds and the dwarf one but wasn't sure how they work.  How do they work? :huh:
    
    I'll try post some of my ideas tomorrow.

    They be mighty quests to ensure you are worthy to become one with the guild.

    Read the requirements carefully and they tell you what is required to gain entry. There is no time limit and it is mostly honor system. It is good if you post links to your stuff as you progress so other Guildmembers know to go vote on it for you so you meet the requirements. (Have to earn the votes of course, but you need people to review your creation.) Take your time and keep moving forward. Digging caves is hard work.
    
    So
    
    1) Declare yourself to the Guild in the linked thread. That commits you to it. You can't join another guild and you can't back out at that point.
    2) Start a thread in that forum and update us on your progress.
    
    http://strolen.com/guild/index.php/board,88.0.html has some specific instructions getting deeper in, but it is all in fun and we will help you along if you go astray. :)
