3rd party policy violations?
#1This sub http://strolen.com/viewing/The_Wraith_Duke_Levi_Bosner includes a character sheet which appears to include text from the GURPS RPG.
Problem is, GURPS has specific comments on reproducing text from their games:
http://www.sjgames.com/general/online_policy.html
Post (or make available for download) forms, charts, tables and text from one of your games?
No; that is a violation of copyright. We understand that it is convenient to gamers if some forms and charts are online, and we have already posted many of them ourselves. You should look at our page for the game you are interested in, to see if perhaps we have already posted the material you want. But we can't give permission to put more and more of each game on the web . . . eventually the whole text would be online, for free, and we couldn't sell any books . . .
Its a fairly fine point, but I wanted a second or third opinion before I acted.

#2Could always send them an email , explaining what our site is, linking the sub in question and their opinion of the matter. Ask them if they would like it to be taken down or if it acceptable to them. :poet: -
Re: 3rd party policy violations?
#3Is it only the character sheet format or is it the character itself. If it is the character sheet and the text within that, I think that is quite different than taking actual text material and posting it for use.
This person is sharing a GURP character. If that is the issue, I am fine with that and don't interpret that as "text" as the intent of the statement.

#4Content inside the character sheet itself.
Again, my point is quite 'fine grained' and perhaps overly specific.
As part of the character sheet, there are descriptions of advantages that appear to be drawn from the game materials. For D20-based systems with the availability of this text under OGL, I don't think this is an issue, but the GURPS works do not seem to have the same level of openness.
However, a quick google showed this text is shared in mutiple places, so, case closed. No action required.
