As always, with regular intervals, there has been some controversy, then some drama, around here.

Lately it is my Coldforged game that has been affected.

Fortunately the Easter Bunny has appeared, and it seems to have a craving for negative comments!!!
Actually, it easts them up, and replaces them with a comment: "The Easter Bunny was here!"

It seems to have hijacked my account, and uses it for eating comments.

I am so sorry for any inconvenience ;)

We need a "troll beard" option here.

At another forum I visit, difficult players can get a "troll beard" for a day, or week, if they are being difficult. What that means is that everything they say become garbled, nonsensical.

Right now, that would be awesome. :)

Welcome to humanity. We're social creatures, and while we tend to get along reasonably well, put enough of us together and eventually people will clash.

Eat those annoying comments, and let your intestines distill them down into pure snarky goodness!

Problem was that he was so annoyed with his whining getting deleted, he started spewing in the shoutbox...

The culprit was EchoMirage. After Gossamer screwed up in my game, he went on a killing spree, murdering an entire village, women and children and all.
The other players took offense and told him OOC they did not want to play such a game.
EchoMirage then went on an OOC ridicule spree, berating, ridiculing and belittling the other players until they got enough. The other players started shouting and private messaging that they wanted out of the game, which, to be frank, hurt me like hell.

So I wrote a public post, where I told everyone what I felt.

One of the things I told the public was that threats to leave my game felt like a virtual slap across the face.

The second I posted that, EchoMirage started private messaging me that he wanted to quit the game.
In my honest opinion, that is psychopath behavior.
"Oh, you have a weakness? Let me use it! Let me use it!"

I got so tired of his veiled threats, insults, demands and primadonna behavior, I can honestly say I will never game or collaborate in a game with him ever again.

He is black listed for life.

    Shadoweagle: NOOOOOOOOOO!! COLDO
    Shadoweagle: COLDFORGED!!!!
Ancient Gamer: give it 2 weeks, and I will talk to you all. At best it is only delayed
Shadoweagle: okay... okay... delayed is good :p lets not make any rash decisions here! i thought we fought past it all! :(
Shadoweagle: if the worst should happen and the game shouls close, you should totally start a new, lighthearted adcvdnturous generic fantasy game AG. i would join it in a heartbeat!
Silveressa: I;d join it too in that case
Ancient Gamer: I have been GMing DnD 1.st ed for the last 4 years. I miss Coldforged and am unlikely to GM a generic fantasy thing in the foreseeable future.
EchoMirage: well, as AG keeps deleting my perfectly valid posts and ignores my position thoroughly, while keeping his insulting OOC post up, I will write it here (I hope he can't delete *this*)
EchoMirage: I will not re-join a game where players that, instead of resolving matters in character, go instantly OOC to get their way
EchoMirage: I will not re-join a game where my in-game IC actions draw flames OOC, and where the GM gives in to such childish OOC demands instantly, without making players first try hard to resolve issues IC.
EchoMirage: and no, aggressive posturing and threats and arguments pulled out of the butt are *not* "trying hard"
axlerowes: the internet is a cruel place
EchoMirage: furthermore, I will not re-join any game where the GM first approves my character, presents situations where the character would legitimately react in a certain way, then railroads me into acting differently, and then, when I give in, and ask for something via PM, insults me publicly
EchoMirage: he can run a GMPC if he so much wants character to behave a certain way
Silveressa: in full chat for a bit
    Ancient Gamer: boo ****ing hooooo
Ancient Gamer: Run around and do your whining. I'll get my popcorn.
EchoMirage: feel free to get that popcorn, and eat it while you write your GMPC, is all I'm saying
Ancient Gamer: Seriously? What is wrong with you?
Ancient Gamer: I. have never been anything but friendly to you. I had to put you in place once, and you act like this?
Ancient Gamer: Shame on you, EchoMirage. Shame on you!
EchoMirage: "put me in my place"... funny, how you didn't put the other two in their place before *I* had done anything wrong
EchoMirage: like said, shame on me, you put me in my place, and I choose my place to be somewhere far from a game where I am treated like poop
    Ancient Gamer: Oh EchoMirage
Ancient Gamer: I was a neutral party and the GM. I did what I had to, even though you were my friend and I did not want to. You Hurt me, and you Hurt other people. All in the name of your vanity.
EchoMirage: you hurt me, a lot, and don;t even seem to notice
EchoMirage: you have mishandled the entire issue, in my opinion, and blame me for it
EchoMirage: and the ad hominem attacks, oh my
EchoMirage: look at the chronology and the name-calling, look who started what when, if you haven;t deleted and censored everything yet
EchoMirage: look who started the tantrums, the "I quit unless everything goes my way" extortion, the public "I demand" speeches. Wasn't me, stop blaming me, get off your high horse.
    Ancient Gamer: Me, me, me
EchoMirage: I tink this closes the issue, then.
Ancient Gamer: I berated the others for their threats of quitting. Two of them wrote words of apology, one gave me a cold shoulder.
Ancient Gamer: And you discovered a way to Hurt me.
    EchoMirage: then we're even, no?
Ancient Gamer: No. But I am done with arguing with you.
    EchoMirage: thank you.
Ancient Gamer: If you dislike it so, perhaps you should refrain from being an internet troll?
    EchoMirage: the ad hominem again
Ancient Gamer: Psshh crawl back to your tower of delusion.
    EchoMirage: towers are kinda cool
EchoMirage: while I am in my tower, you go and indulge in a moment of clarity, count up how many times you have called me something insulting, do an excel sheet or something, and in comparison list all the zero insults I have flung your way ... like this
    Ancient Gamer: Quack Quack Quack
Mourngrymn: wow glad I decided to log on

I have pms from Echo that are just as insufferable as what you've seen in this game, AG. He was a large reason why my old Decathros game fell, although the others in that game probably don't realize how snarky he was being.

Echo is of the opinion that his characters and his actions are more important than the others. Its a damn shame because he writes some incredible posts and is active!

he wont be allowed in any future games i run as well.

    commiserations, friend.

I had him as a player in the past.

He has always been difficult, and I have always had doubts when accepting him, but for me this one topped all.

I have to set my foot down somewhere, at some time,  because he really is running out of control.

Its gotten really, really bad this primadonna behavior of his.

He is acting like a diva.

I'm sure Muro will have a laugh at this when he comes back. We could form a club.

Yeah. He has ventilated over Em in the past.

He used to be my friend though (EchoMirage).
    I even visited him once.

Oh well. Lets us call it "The Downtrodden GM Society"
