"New Post" Email

   My settings are such that I don't get emails about new subs. I get them on comments for my subs, or subs I've commented on, but no new subs.
   
   Except the other day I got an email telling me about a new sub. "The Wishing Well" by stork. I received it on the 17th.
   
   Is this a bug, or is there some circumstance that overrides the settings for just this sub?

   It's actually one of Stork's "powers" from his days dropping off babies. A new sub alert in every chimney!

   Anyway, since posting this, I've received a few other "New Post" emails. But I don't seem to get one on EVERY new sub.

   I've gotten these emails too, the most recent of which was New Post: 7 Ways To Control Monarchs
   Not sure where the bug is but I have the setting to off as well.

   It is a feature. Or something.  um.
   
   Life has entered critical mass this week. As soon as I shed some responsibility on Friday I will be back to mortal amounts of work.
