Public/Private flag on Favourite Lists
#1I seem to have polluted the list of favorites with many 'stub' lists of mine. I'd like to hide those not fit for prime time.

#5But in all seriousness I kinda do want a flag.
Is there anything we can do with that?
Self designed graphics, colors and bars, leveling feature?
Pick your color
Pick your decorative barring if any
Pick Animal or symbol
And it's all dependent on level. Rookies just get a basic color flag, and as you level up you get the option to make it more ornate, kind of like how the skull icon changes with level.
So someone comments and they have a solid green flag, you know they are new, but when the guy with the gold and black flag with the rampant T-rex on is the real mofo deal -

#11So, since this thread went 180 from where it started :)
1) Yes, private flag for favorites. On the list.
2) Flag and or coat of arms is awesome...but probably not realistic. Is there something we can implement almost immediately that will at least give the effect you are looking for. We used to have those horizontal stat bars that measured posting frequency and stuff like that. Is there some kind of graphical scale that we can add that can represent something that would hold value to include with the comments?

#14Didn't necessarily give up, just not realistic.
Mostly because the list of things that we need is very long vs the list of things that we want. And unless people just upload any coat of arms they want made at another place, then we would have to make our own heraldry engine (with squirrels and llamas). That part, to me, probably will never gain a priority status.
I am always open for things so if we come up with a way to do it, hurrah, I just don't see it happening any time soon. And if my doubt makes it happen quicker. :) Then that would be just as awesome. -

Selected image must be approved by a moderator, eventually the Citadel Herald, an elected position.

Selected image must be approved by a moderator, eventually the Citadel Herald, an elected position.

#19Couple implementation suggestions:
1. Submissions on the main site would show the coat of arms in the summary - http://strolen.com/uploads/valadaar/thumbs/c2.PNG
2. On submissions, the Skull on the left would be replaced by the coat of arms once earned and approved.
3. Comments,scroll entries would be tagged with a small version of the arms. (32 pixelish)

#20Besides, we don't have to code and build the generator ourselves, and that's the hard part isnt it? We can find such things online, or import them ourselves.

#22I am definitely good with it.
Lets select a specific graphic site that we will use it from so we are all using the same style and try a couple. Sort of like how the Guild graphics started. Personally put them in the summary and see how they look.
I would have to put together a profile editor to add it but that won't take that much.
Or attach a few here so we can take a look at the styles we like...whatever you all come up with, I am good.
