World Domination - aka Bringing Strolen's Citadel to the Front of the Interwebz

1. World Domination - aka Bringing Strolen's Citadel to the Front of the Interwebz

I have worked with some people who are the masters of getting attention, and making people come together.

Basically, people want bread and circus. Ask Scrasamax, he can confirm that.

We have bread (roleplaying material), we need circus (a thriving community).

We are getting there, but I suggest cheap gimmicks.

   I suggest:
   Strolenati Sunday
Every Sunday all Strolenati are summoned to the citadel. We all make an effort to pop in at least once during the day. We make an effort to socialize, to comment, to be part of the citadel. This is Strolenati Sunday. The best day of the week.

I want banners for Strolenati Sunday.

   Will there be beer?

   Free beer.

I will make something today. Free for all banners, the more the better.

   But I am for this.

   Strolenati Sunday is go.

We need to rejuvenate the guilds too. That is an easy quest too. Very broad and gets some attention back on it and creates action in the forum and site. What do you think?

Yeah! I am all for it! Dozus came back and dove straight for the guilds.

I don't know what they are, but hey, if they rock, they rock.

   Quick edit for a banner.

Now I go back to coding. Good quick break!

You should post the big one in a forum thread, explaining the concept. Maybe even in a stickey in the Welcome Board. :D

   Wow, that one was good!

Bump this puppy. Has given me some ideas.

The banner looks solid, and it's a fun idea, perhaps we could expand upon it by having some kind of special  (gaming related) topic of discussion each Sunday (The Sunday Soap Box?) for full chat and a forum thread?

A topic concept would perhaps give people something to comment on and encourage more active participation than just lurking and perhaps draw in some new blood?

    Absolutely, no reason to wait.

And forgot I had this thread started.
