Can we get a real blogging engine put in too so authors could host blogs here as well?

   Perhaps a leveled feature.

On the list. Need to figure out where you want it.

Attached to the profile. Does it show up on the front page.

I love arstechnica.com for news and it is my daily read.

We have the landing page to draw attention where we want it but then the main content page thinking ars style.

Left side, new subs and such. Maybe artist makes us better/prettier graphics to top each of the main categories? So we have eye catching identifying graphics for the main, new subs.

Center section are smaller links without graphic but still title and summary and such.

Right side blog updates, HoH, Gold, stuff like that maybe?

Just thinking out loud. That page will be after I finish the viewing and author page.

I would like a blogging page as well, the only experience i have with the format is blogspot, but I didn't get into it because I had no audience

Seems like a good idea even though I've long abandoned my own personal blog. But once in a while I have a whim to update my Author page about planned work that sadly no one reads (I think). I personally think the author blog should be on profile rather than on front page b/c then seems to me that there might not be enough space on front page to show all author blogs even if this author blog feature is one of the level up perks (surely to be a useful feature, it should be a perk associated with the middle levels rather than really high up but then there would be loads of people that have personal pages, hence the problem I suggested with not enough space). Just my 'two cents' thoughts.
