Cut Short, Badasses Who Were Killed or Knocked off Screen Before Their Time.

Anyone remember this fetching lass?
Viper, the Scottish dual wielding cannibal badass, who ended up getting decapitated roughly one quarter of the way into the feature film Doomsday. Sad really. She was wrong in all the right ways, a sexy, face tattooed cannibal chick that liked to kill people play with fire.
[img width=400 height=173]http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-aUtDQJIj_WE/UMEMe_3O_AI/AAAAAAAAAs8/gszl8-6O4hM/s1600/darth_maul.png
Hard to forget this handsome fellow, one of the few redeeming features of the Phantom Menace and one of its horrifically underused elements. While on the surface ole Darth Maul has the typical demon motif going, black and red skin pigmentation, yellow eyes, crown of horns and some pretty gnarly teeth. He had no lines worth mentioning, and was pretty much the stoic silent type. Not really fitting the evil villain trope very well, no taunting, no monologues, just taking care of business and chopping Jedi in half. Its a shame that Maul hasn't gotten the same fandom love as Boba Fett.
So Why Do I ask?
There are lots and lots of characters who file through the wings and the background of movies and television shows, and many of them are nothing more than filler and we don't care about them. But then there are characters who pop in, and they are killed far too soon, or are under utilized in the story.
Could Maul have a hidden side as a mystic and a seeker of knowledge and wisdom? Is there a philosopher behind the demonic face?
Was Viper more than just a trope laden badass, was there a reason that she was so over the top? Did she have kids, or did she eat them? Did she teach them to be cannibals?
These are the most prominent two that regularly come to mind.
I'd like to do some brainstorming here, and get a list of badasses (good, bad or neutral) who didn't get the time and attention they deserved, and follow that list compilation up with a Quest.
Interest, takers? -
Re: Cut Short, Badasses Who Were Killed or Knocked off Screen Before Their Time.
#2You mention Boba Fett yourself. What did he do, really? In the first (last) trilogy he just stands there on Bespin, flies off with Solo, hands Solo over to Jabba then gets bumped into the pit in the usual slapstick Harrison Ford way.
Jango Fett does pretty much the same, only to die easily with his head lopped off by... hmm.. Obi Wan I think.
So, two takers there, for bad guys that ended too early.
Pretty much all the bounty hunters in the old trilogy looked cool, but got no screen time (Except for that one cut scene on Bespin with Vader).
Bossk, IG-88, etc.
Made for nice figurines in my childhood collection though. :)

I know IG-88 got a short story somewhere, but Boba Fett has gotten a lot of fan attention and rumor has it the Mandalorian is going to get his own spin off movie (if it isn't rated R and directed by Quinten Tarantino I'm not interested).
But Bossk, 4LOM and Zuckus, and Dengar totally get this sort of billing.

#4Jango was sorta redeemed in the animated series, if you count those. No doubt both Boba and Maul have been redeemed in some third party novels, which are generally said to be better than anything Lucas came up with.
As for more bad asses who died too soon, I would have to think about it. Probably anyone played by Michelle Rodriguez. -

Depends on which Resident Evil movie you're referencing. She made it pretty far in the last one. -

#6Even the one that was Michelle Rodriquez before Michelle Rodriguez, Jenette Goldstein, died too early in Aliens.
Translation: There has always been a latina tough chick stereotype in Hollywood. They have all been awesome, and all died too early. -
Re: Cut Short, Badasses Who Were Killed or Knocked off Screen Before Their Time.
#7Almost any character played by Sean Bean

Re: Cut Short, Badasses Who Were Killed or Knocked off Screen Before Their Time.
#8Bolo Yeung. He was a bad-ass. He was the heavy in 9,000 movies (slight exaggeration). He almost always died before his time. -

#10Danny Trejo, anyone? -
Re: Cut Short, Badasses Who Were Killed or Knocked off Screen Before Their Time.
#11The Game of Thrones bad-asses edition:
Kal Drogo, Gregor the Mountain Clegane, Vargo Hoat.
All fascinatingly interesting, loathsome (except Kal Drogo) larger than life personalities. All three have back-stories and dynamics that just beg to be expanded upon!! All meet their doom too early for my tastes, while the more mundane characters get to frolic on. -

#12Jaws!!!! No, not that one, the other one...

#13I read that Martin wanted the character deaths to hit you - and leaving unfinished things is a great way to do that.

Re: Cut Short, Badasses Who Were Killed or Knocked off Screen Before Their Time.
#14That was more to do with the "good" characters, like Ned stark and Robb and his mom etc...
Nothing to do with Gregor and Co. -

#18Unpopular opinion here, but I LOVED Joffrey! He was such a prick, and that is awesome :p -

I was completely unaware of this movie until I saw this. Watched it, was entertained by it despite (or because of?) all the implausible things. Still, I can say that your teaser was enough to get me to watch it; and, yes, she died too soon.
