#1...Ahem...(Clears throat)....
The Poem of Elements and Anti-Elements, by Captain Penguin
Whirling air,
bright fire,
steady earth,
gentle water,
living wood.
Sullen air,
devouring fire,
lightless earth,
raging water,
smothering wood. -

#2Siren sits in a dark corner, dressed all black, and snaps her fingers for the penguin. "Bravo, man. Bravo." -

#5storms a brew'in
tormenting the green pastures
violence a stew'in
clouds swirl in anticipation
over the Citadel this day
gamers are writing
typing out visual creations
verbally fighting
spelling matters of opinion
within the Citadel this day
as lightening flashes and tornados bloom
nothing seems to get done.
all of this carnage spells out doom
dismissing all of our fun
as the clouds disperse
I find it a curse
to happen upon the Citadel another day. -
The guy in the back corner
#6He snaps his fingers. His beat baret tipped rakishly. He sips his expresso and checks the scene. -

#7One of the few I wrote. Was a prophecy for a game I ran.
What if the Aros Wall should break?
Would all the land lose hope?
A shadow's test
A water's nest
All will be forced to cope
And if the dark rose in the North
Would it be plain to see?
A mountains core
Where eagles soar
Don't fall to bended knee
And in the land beyond the moon
Will you still know my name?
It's up to you
And what you do
I'll come to you again
And if a mass should rise and fill
The streets with death and fear?
The time is short
For all to sort
The lost must now appear
Who shall there be to bring to us
The needed things to bear?
Will we return
And will they learn
The secret of our dare
Where shall the poor child lay his head
When bloodfire stains the land?
Where shadows lie
Where waters sigh
Where mountains silent stand
And when the missing time is found
Is all then lost or won?
No mortal knows
Nor gods disclose
Till all our battle's done
(It was based on another prophecy I found forever ago although I changed just about everything but used the style of the poem) -

#8I will claim this whole one for my own. Another poem that starts with the legend of my homebrewed world and then turns into a prophecy.
Five from three they came to see
Destruction so profound
They took the song and played it long
Creating with their sound
Tower of Tears killed all our fears
From the light it arose
A wall so dark it bore no mark
Capturing all our foes
Some may say we all will pay
The wall will finally crack
A heroes face we all must chase
And find what they do lack
Nations come and nations roam
All wait till time is right
When old arrives a nation dies
And danger is from height
Death above will kill the dove
seek knowledge from the past
Regain the lost at any cost
And death may not be fast
Marked for death they take their breath
Just like any other
But who they serve has all the nerve
He must kill is father
To save us all one must fall
Finding what they do seek
To know the search ones made of birch
Dreams are not for the meek
The other coal must be stole
Tis the way it shall be
Cannot be bought nor chased and caught
Colors change you will see
Time is still under the hill
Where life may be snuffed out
Look and find get out of the bind
Then travel the set route -

#9* A women looks up from her writing and frowns at the papaer *
I don't think I can write a normal letter in the presence of such beauty...
I think I will just sit here and hear all these marvels pass me and enjoy while I am at it. -

#11Never dance with the Fey;
Back home you'll never find way;
All the folk of the hill and dale know;
That with the Kindly Ones you shouldn't go;
For you shant return until the snow winds blow;
Never dance with the Fey. -

#12I guess I will give it a try...
Secrets
Nobody knows that I am
a timid violet
An audacious sunfolwer all at once.
I am a paradox of Ideas and beliefs
Like the prophet I face the formidable task of thought.
like the flowers ever growing, struggling,
searching for myself.
Nobody knows that I tiptoe
down the starlit hallway.
To greet the moon.
Nobody knows that I stop to listen to the song of the wind
upon the lonely shore.
no one understands the thoughts...
the passions...
the dreams.... that explode in my mind.
Nobody knows but me.
perhaps some day I will find my one
that all can be revealed to
until that day I deep my secrets. -

#13The Five Stars of Enlightenment
First is of gold, the star of battles;
Second is of silver, the star of change;
Third is of jade, the star of knowledge;
Fourth is of steel, the star of self-control;
Fifth is of nothingness, the star of enlightenment;
Tao. -

#14There once was a man named Mike
Oh dear was he a cute little tyke
He ran around and played all day
Then one day he wandered away
What happened to him, you say?
Well, he turned into a blue jay.
There was a frog.
It ate a dog.
Jackie jane jumps joyfully jolliously.
John jack joins jumping jackie jane
Jackie jane joyously jabs john jack
John jack jets jumping jaggedly
...Awe...Jackie Jane cries...
It's a keyboards obligation
To be filled with typoation
And a person's messupation
To create the typoation
And a spouses honoration
To smack the personation
And cause therapation
(That last one made little sense.) -

Twinkle, twinkle little bat,
How I wonder what you're at?
When you winged your way into my room,
And gave to me this blue straw broom.
You left again without a sound,
As I turned the broom round and round,
My fingers traced the runes inlaid,
In my innocence, I was not afraid.
My fingers traced the acrance tracing,
In my chest, my heart was racing.
I held the broom between my knees,
And flew out the window, and past the trees.
The runes a-lit with gentle fire,
And called to me to fly higher.
Up I went to, kiss the moon,
Through the night on my blue straw broom.
The heavens turned to rose, I had to leave,
I flew back home, trying to believe,
That I could share the heavens and leave my room,
And take once more skyward on my blue straw broom.
