Oh dear. A favorite topic over the last couple of weeks. Don't get too caught up in it.

Let me just make it very simple:

Post in the forums, post ideas, items and the like and in general, just have fun being here.

By the way it is much better to post meaningfull stuff as not so meaning full stuff.

If you just post here to post a message, nothing much will come from it, but if you do have some interesting points to share, that is a different matter all together.

I guess besides the FAQ for the forum we should have _another_ FAQ for the forum... for the questions that so often come up.

Greetings Travellers might make a good place for it.

5. I was just thinking that....

When I scrolled down and Manfred had already posted it.

In addition, maybe an automatic PM that gives them the FAQ as they sign up?

Might have to make an announcement/sticky thread that has questions and then links to threads that answer them. Or make a formal FAQ.

But then what will the new people ask? hehehe

Hmm, but really... there are only two questions that get asked the most, as I've noticed. That's "how do you earn levels" and "where do I roleplay at?" Oh, wait... another one (though not as frequent) is "how to get an avatar." If that's helpful, well, there ya go...

and what do the HP, MP, and EXP thinggys mean. Don't forget that one!

And the funny thing is that the first and the last of your questions pretty much work the same in nearly all fora.... It is the middle one that usualy has different answers....

At any rate another question you would see in this forum is also: what do HP/MP/EXP mean.

(Yes, I already have a feeling, but I figured if we are posting FAQ items here.)

I do feel that a sticky subject (or perhaps a forum called FAQ with sticky subjects) could very well be the best solution for this problem.

My personal experience is that most people tend to forget to look if there is something like "FAQ" or something mentioned in the menu or navigation....

Comming to think of this: Another one that might be practical: how do I navigate back to the homepage.... (either the hyperlink all the way at the bottem of the page or by clicking the Citadel picture on the top of the page.)

   Yours truly,
