    'fraid I can't find alot of anime up here. I like the little I've seen but how much I've seen is far less than I'd like.

    Eva and Nadesco... I've only seen an episode or two of each, but I like what I've seen so far. I also like Inu Yasha, Cowboy Bebop, Excel Saga, Outlaw Star... and more I can't think of at the moment. I'm about as nerdy as you can get in the Bible Belt South. Not, of course, that that's a bad thing.

    Hmm....Yep, Cowboy Bebop's good too, as is Outlaw Star. Never seen Excel Saga. Ever seen X/1999? Evangelion is great. You should see it. It's not stupid, mindless mech combat, but instead, has lots of talk of religion, science, the way people think, all that shed monkey fur in a hand drum.
    
    I kinda dislike Gundam Wing, though. It's become to little-kid's pop culture. Original Gundam is better, not so munchkin. Regular old Gundam doesn't have ridiculously powerful cannons that destroy entire cities.

    I have seen like two episodes of outlaw star it seemed okay I am almost reluctant to say so but the biggest anime show I have ever watched is ... well I used to watch Sailor moon but that was before it got cheesy

    Don't pick up much real Japanese anime though... But that is also why when I am learning ot draw anime I will do free form anime instead of trying to copy from a picture off a cartoon. I don't do well with trying ot liik at sometning and draw it anyway do better by just using my imagination to come up with something.

    I don't ever copy. It never looks the way you want unless you trace, and it's pretty much the same as plagiarizied.

    :roll: Tell my art professor that; all she wants us to do is copy pictures of old dead guys.......... She eats out of my hand though I will turn in some of my original work and she thinks its brilliant and gives me a good grade any way! I have never been much good at copying and in my own mind think it is wrong also! I am having trouble with anime though (people even cartoon people never been my strong point) But I am good ant painting seascapes as well as landscapes!

    You just gotta practice drawing anime. It's tough. Even I don't have it totally yet. When I draw, I just draw what comes to mind. It's usually along the lines of a monster or a knight or something. I really have a problem with drawing female bodies, though. I just can't get it to look right. When I say "right", I mean realistic, not with, like, breasts bigger than the character's head or something. Blargh.

    Truthfully it is not the body I am interested in I first am trying just a head shot I want to get the right emotion but am having a little trouble getting it to reflect in the eyes..... you have to have the highlights just right! I also draw what ever comes to mind ( it usually has alot to do with my mood at the moment!) Sides I have a.... active we will say..... imagination and their is no telling what is going to happen. as for your comment earlier about the female body don't even get me started I have tried to get some pictures on the net to study the format and shape and shading that diffrent artist use and many of them ar complelty out of portion; but it is all in the eye of the artist right!
