Rage in the Cage with ChaosMage!
#164I understand there are quite a few "hotties" out there, but I am not obsessed with perfection of the body as much as I am of the heart and mind.
(yes, a beautiful woman is nice to look at and after you two. . ahem. . well, you know, there has to be something inside that you not only relate to, but like.) -
Rage in the Cage with ChaosMage!
#165ya, but Cali isnt just stupid blondes, as most people think. A lot of them are very smart and kind too. -
Rage in the Cage with ChaosMage!
#166Strom, I have a question.
Why are you so moral and with all the "goody-goody, best-person-you-can-be" crap? I mean, I'm sure you are, but.....
Ah, sandgrazer dung, I lost my train of thought. -
Rage in the Cage with ChaosMage!

#170The Stabbity Daggerfall Katana Song (Sung to the Tune of "Deck the Halls")
"The Killing Time is now upon us;
Fa la la la la, fa la la la;
Kill the townsfolk with katanas;
Fa la la la la, fa la la la;
Guardsmen shout a halting chorus;
Fa la la, fa la la, fa la la;
Swords will make them very porous;
Fa la la la la, fa la la laaaaaaaaaaah" -
Rage in the Cage with ChaosMage!
#171I leave for four days and we're now singing killing songs to the tune of a christmas carol? -

Rage in the Cage with ChaosMage!
#173Ring around the Rosie
Pocket full of Posie
Ashes, Ashes
We all Fall Down.
Good death song.
Why do we teach that song to our children? It is wrong. It is a song about the black plauge and dying. Why do kids need to learn that? It is imorale(sp?) -
Rage in the Cage with ChaosMage!
#174"Immoral"
"Plague"
Why is it immoral? -
Rage in the Cage with ChaosMage!
#175I would never consider myself too good, but definitely far from perfect. Though I must say it is probably, what I think is, our double digit age difference that helps in creating our contrasting opinions you swabby.
I must say that I always thought ring around the rosies was a dumb sissy song until I learned the exact meaning of the lyrics.
1. ring around the rosies- the blistering that the disease induced
2. pocket full of posies- people carried posies in hopes it would ward-off the disease
3. ashes, ashes- the bodies being burned to stay the spread of disease
4. we all fall down- everybody dies
(not immoral, merely fascinating) -
Rage in the Cage with ChaosMage!
#176Well, I don't think children should learn that. I find it wrong. I mean it belongs in movies like Darkness Falls popular children stories twisted and demented. I just get the willies when I think of thoes things -
Rage in the Cage with ChaosMage!
#177it may have originally meant those things, but today it is merely a fun song to sing while spinning yourself sick around a pole or something! Meanings of words change, so I see no reason why the meaning of a group of words cannot do the same thing. The plague is no longer a factor in our liveas, and the song has stopped its deadly meaning. There is no harm in it! -
Rage in the Cage with ChaosMage!
#178Maybe we shouldn't tell them the truth then. -
Rage in the Cage with ChaosMage!
#179But that would be wrong. We'd be denying a part of history, or European history, at least.
You should tell them when they're older. That way it's not ruined while it's still fun. -
Rage in the Cage with ChaosMage!
#180Actually, the Black Plague began in Asia. Most dangerous diseases and plagues, in fact, originate in either Asia or Africa. There was the flu virus of WWII(Asia); the current AIDS epidemic (Africa); Also the sars virus (asis).
(must be something in the water)
As far as not telling the truth about the song. . . I have never been one to endorse the erasing of historical facts. These errors lead to neo-nazis believing that the holocaust was a contrived fallacy; the cover-up of the fact that black men were actually elected into governmental offices during slavery; and, also, the fact that the "Evil Steel Baron Andrew Carnegie" donated $100,000,000 dollars to various colleges and universities to construct buildings and conduct research that would otherwise have been too costly for them to endeavor. These donations were during the early 1900's, and if adjusted for today's worth, would be astounding to say the least. -
Rage in the Cage with ChaosMage!
#181True, true. -

#182I see you with MY EYE! -
Rage in the Cage with ChaosMage!
#183my view on history is that its in the past, and for a good reason. We should learn from our mistakes, but not study them. If all we know is what not to do, we still don't know what to do. I think we should let time erase what has happened as it does with everything. Survival of the fittest (bad analogy I know) and things are the way they are because it works! -
Rage in the Cage with ChaosMage!
#184Yep. -
Rage in the Cage with ChaosMage!
#185well thats a more cheeful answer than I expected. -
Rage in the Cage with ChaosMage!
#186I see you with MY EYE! -
Rage in the Cage with ChaosMage!
#187and that means? -
Rage in the Cage with ChaosMage!
#188I see you with MY EYE! -
Rage in the Cage with ChaosMage!
#189whatever you say, if you saw me with someone elses eye I'd be pretty scared! -
Rage in the Cage with ChaosMage!
#190Problem with not studying history, is that you cannot fully understand cultures and people until you learn what they did in the past that developed them into their society today. Russia is a great example.
For hundreds of years they have been ruled tyrannical leaders- the Communists and Czars- and a fearful horde- the mongols. Subservience to the will of their ruler is so engrained that there are still many that wish communism was still in power.
The government owned every aspect of their lives. All they had to do was to follow the orders given and be loyal. When the berlin wall fell, many we scared because they never knew freedom and didn't understand how it empowered them. They had to learn how to make choices for themselves. -
Rage in the Cage with ChaosMage!
#191yes, but the thing is, it is mankinds desperate need for knowladge that has caused much of our pain. Sure, a lot of good has come out of it as well, but so have things like Nuclear and Chemical Weapons. When one studies a people or culture, they can see why they are like they are, but also see every fault they contain. I believe some things just need to be taken as t they are. -
Rage in the Cage with ChaosMage!
#192No, my friends, it all springs from one thing: Fear. Fear of death, specifically. Just think about it: Fear of death leads to gathering things to prevent death which leads to greed, and from there it splits out. It could also be said this way: Fear of death leads to trying to learn about things to prevent death which leads to nukes. -
Rage in the Cage with ChaosMage!
#193no, I don't think that is it, because most people fear public speaking more than they fear death. We have simply accepted that death is an inevitable, and therefore we are not as afraid of it as we used to be. If it must happen, why worry, it won't change anything. I believe the root cause is greed. We had good intentions once, all our technolodgical(sp?) advancements were for a greater world. But once man has power, man wants even more, and just as so many other people have before, our entire civilization fell into the promise of wealth and power. We therefore started fighting to see who had most power, and therefore most status, money, and-most believe-happiness as well. -
Rage in the Cage with ChaosMage!
#194I believe that that greed has come from fear. -
Rage in the Cage with ChaosMage!
#195I vote for fear of the unknown if anything.
Many people sacrifice themselves in the search of knowledge so I think fear of death might not be appropriate in some ways, but the search of knowledge is the truer answer. -
Rage in the Cage with ChaosMage!
#196"Ther is nothing to fear but fear itself" Some dude, some time, someplace.
I don't do well in history. I was in the remedial class. or I had too many un-smart people studying with me. -
Rage in the Cage with ChaosMage!
#197A wizard accosts you upon the road and traps you in a cage. He says that he will ask you one question: What will he slay you with? If your answer is a lie, he will slay you with a sword. If your answer is truthful, he will slay you with a spell. What must you say to stay alive?
drows a htiw em yals lliw ouY :rewsnA -
Rage in the Cage with ChaosMage!
#198right. I hope I don't get put into a cage by a wizard or whutever. -
Rage in the Cage with ChaosMage!
#199Did you understand the riddle?
Or did you just look at the answer? -
Rage in the Cage with ChaosMage!
#200I understood it. I don't plan on being caged by a wizard. You tell a lie so you are telling the truth wich is a lie. I find it simplier to get him first tho.
